The CVS pharmacy in Rhinebeck has steadily gone down in quality. It is frustrating to get a text saying your medication is ready only to be told you will have to wait up to half an hour to receive it. People behind the counter often seem indifferent and uninformed (exempting Patty, the pharmacists who is invariably professional, competent and friendly). There seems to be frequent staff turnover as if the people who work there are no happier than the customers. Another issue is the impossibility of getting through by phone. Many I know have already left this pharmacy to drive to surrounding towns - inconvenient but worth it for the superior service. Others order online.Obviously this is a top-down kind of issue. As long as corporate prioritizes it's bottom line over sufficient staffing and customer service while asking employees to "do more with less" it is staff and customers who absorb the hit.Long time customerWendy Owen

CVS is unable to keep pharmacists and now there is a 3 to 4 day wait for a prescription. I am told it is because CVS is a horrible employer. The counter person is not allowed to tell customers there is a 4 day wait because CVS is a dishonest company

I'm sorry, it should not take them several days to a week to fill basic prescriptions. Then when you go to pick them up, they make you wait forever so that they can finally fill them for you after you ordered them days and days prior. And they NEVER answer the phone. The other CVS' in the area will have your Rxs ready for you within hours to a day at most. Beyond that, they close earlier than many other CVS, and I've seen them close earlier than even what their posted hours are. This makes it very difficult for customers. I've also seen staff filling their own prescriptions while working and there are customers waiting in line, which I find unprofessional.

The pharmacy never answers the phones. My prescriptions are never filled on time. The computer systems are always giving customers and employees a hard time. I purchased over $300 in gift cards for end of the year teacher gifts and all of the cards had a zero balance on them! I was never given a receipt because guess what? The computer system crashed and my receipt wouldn’t print! I waited an hour for the manager to try to get the receipt printed and she couldn’t find it. My account was charged $300+ dollars and I had to re-buy all of the gift cards. This store is a nightmare. It’s dirty and nothing I need is ever in stock. Do yourself a favor and take the extra time to drive to the Red Hook CVS!

Pharmacy IS RARELY OPEN. They are severely understaffed, mismanaged and hours are completely inconsistent. Affects my medication. This store is consistently out of stock or many items. Sad because is the only local pharmacy but they’re in dire need of help. Anybody need a job???

Are you trying to close this store? If not hire more assistants in the Pharmacy. We deal with a CVS out of state and never wait for a person to answer the phone. Hire more staff the ones there are working beyond what is humanly possible.

Parking is usually a nightmare, as per usual in Rhinebeck. The staff are all friendly from what I've experienced, but there always seems to be a line. It's not a big deal, it just means that I don't stop there if it needs to be a quick trip. If you're already walking around the village anyway, it's a cheap option for a snack or beverage. I usually go elsewhere, but that isn't necessarily the store, or staffs, fault. Just a difficult to get in-and-out of, very generic option in a town with much more interesting choices. Some of which have better parking.

Best CVS..... In the village. Easily accessible. And the greatest employees. Both in the store and the pharmacy. And this is one of the only CVS's I have ever known to not close earlier on the weekend! I love it's open til 10:00 p.m every day!

I have found the pharmacy staff at CVS in Rhinebeck to be consistently competent, respectful and kind. Pat and Walter in particular are friendly and very professional. I have been using this CVS for many years for my medications and will continue to do so.

I have had years of excellent service provided by many different CVS locations. However the pharmacy manager of the Rhinebeck store, a woman named Patricia, is simply rude and unprofessional. She gave us the wrong medication by mistake and when we brought it back to pick up the correct medication she would not issue us a refund despite the fact that it was her mistake to begin with. More important than her refusal to correct her mistake was that she was yelling, slapping her hands on the counter, and causing a scene while both my wife and I were being calm, curtious and professional. Someone needs a little public relations training... It is unfortunate that this is the ONLY pharmacy in Rhinebeck so I am sure I will have to go in there sometimes, but I will be ordering all of my meds from my online pharmacy whenever possible.

Versus the CVS in midtown Manhattan, the Rhinebeck store is always well-stocked. Similarly, great people work in both locations. Love the savings with many coupons offered at point of sale and through the mail.

They don't answer the phone. In the time of social distancing, they expect you to physically go to pharmacy with any questions. Not very well managed. They've always been great but this crisis is not bringing out the best in people.

No perfumed powder with a powder puff and when you ask, only the shift supervisor or manager know what you are talking about. The other employees just send you on a wild goose chase and or give you a dirty look. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
