On a recent visit to Old Forge, peeping at leaves, we stopped for ice cream at this restaurant. Everyone of the employees were wonderful. We ordered 3 small sundaes and a flurry. The portions were generous and tasty. In fact, we ended up taking 2 of the generous sundaes home and refreezing them, eating them at a later date. This was our first visit but will not be our last. All in our party were very happy with both the product and the service. Next time you are passing through give it a try, I will bet you will be returning for a good meal or for some great ice cream. Good job everyone, kudos to all!!

I was vacationing in Rome, and on my way to Pixley Falls State Park, I needed something to eat. This was one of the restaurants that showed up on Google, restaurants near me. Since I'm traveling with 2 little dogs, the "drive thru" stood out. I ended up parking and walking in. I ordered the fried fish sandwich and fries that the man at the counter suggested. I wished the fried chicken meal was available in all dark meal; it came with both dark and white meat. I ended up getting the sampler that has chicken tenders, fried mushrooms and mozzarella cheese sticks with fries. The food took 10 mins to cook, so I decided to have dessert first. I ordered the strawberry soft serve. They didn't have any hard ice cream. The strawberry topping coated the vanilla soft serve. Amazingly, my finicky dog loved the ice cream. My other pup loves ice cream period! 😋 When I went back into the store, the lady saw me walk in and she went to get my food. She was very friendly, and commented that she looks forward to reading my reviews. 😁 The fried fish was a nice cut of fish, lightly breaded. The buns was a bit heavy for me that when eating with the fish, I could hardly taste the fish. I ended up skipping the bun, and the fish was delicious, and flaky which is what I love. The cold slaw was interesting. The cabbage and other veggies in it were diced into small pieces. It tasted good, but because everything was in small pieces that has a texture that I didn't care for. One of my dogs, the brown and white one, is sooooo finicky who won't even eat filet mignon. To my surprise, she liked the chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were very tasty, lightly breaded, and juicy! The fried mushrooms were in variety of sizes. The mozzarella cheese sticks were a nice size, not too skinny. The fries were cooked to my liking. They were softer, not crunchy, and the inside was not cooked all the way. They were harder in the inside. I like my fries very soft in the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. The restaurant and ladies restroom were very clean. Overall, I would come back if I'm in the area again... I want to try their seafood platter with fish, shrimp and scallops. I missed it on the menu until I looked at the picture of the menu I took.

Super long wait for not-great pizza. Flies everywhere. Ice cream was just like everyone else's, except it wasn't as frozen. Melted right away. Men's smelled terribly like urine. Nice outside seating and decent pricing, though.

Heading home from the Adirondacks, stopped for an ice cream snack. Really good quality product, better than most, thick, creamy, not diluted. Staff was efficient, welcoming, and frankly, a lot of fun to chat with. Great stories. A satisfying stop, one that we make frequently when passing thru.Parking: Ample space for vehicles with trailers.

Great milk shakes and burgers. Buns have a garlic sauce on them and it was incredible. Really like that they have a window to order if you don't want to go inside.

A favorite stop on the way into the Adirondacks for a quick milkshake ice cream or meal. I really enjoy the thick slabs of grilled toast on a refreshing BLT.Parking: Plenty of room for a pop-up campers and trailers

Nice, small ice cream window and restaurant. Decent size food menu and very nice selection of ice cream flavors, soft and hard. They were short staffed when we visited (May 2022) so the service was a little slow in the dining area but the waitress working did a really good job at keeping up as best as she could...she was also very friendly and helpful. Tables couldve been cleaner, but again, it falls back to short staffed. Will visit again

Nothing special. A bit pricey for what they're serving. I got a blue cheese burger my wife got tenders, an order of fries, and an order of sweet potato fries, 2 drinks almost $30. Wouldn't have been a bad price if it weren't frozen food. Definitely won't be back.

The ice-cream was good. There was not many flavors. We did not eat any food but there seemed to be a reasonable selection. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. My daughter found the clowns a little bit creepy, but that didn't stopped her from eating ice cream by the clown's statue.Only one question left to ask (and answer of course): Why clowns?

We camp in Forestport every weekend during the summer. It has become tradition to have dinner here on Friday evenings. If we don’t make dinner, we always have ice cream! We love the burgers! They are always cooked to perfection. The soups are homemade and delicious, service is always punctual and friendly! Highly recommend this place to all!!

So, so, so many flies!Workers seemed so uninterested in being there and even left our food uncovered on the counter (with all the flies, for who knows how many minutes) because they made no effort to let us know our order was up; even though we were sitting at the table closest to the door and “drive thru” window. And, no, it wasn’t busy when we ordered or got our food—the ladies working were literally eating ice cream cones and talking behind the counter when we left.All of that and the food wasn’t even good! We got burgers and cheese/chili fries: the burgers were decent but the fries were soggy n unsalted and the cheese was gross and obviously cheap. Overall, it didn’t match the pricing.This place has potential, but, unfortunately, the cute and quirky clown diner theme can’t carry the health code questionable cooking situation and subpar, overpriced products.

This was our first time here. Been meaning to go for awhile. The food is great, and the menu has lots of good choices. However, this is more than just a hamburger/hotdog/ice cream place. If you're looking to take a family for lunch or dinner, expect to spend more than you would at a regular ice cream shop. It's a nice restaurant with great, tasty food. We just weren't expecting to spend over $70 for two adults and 3 small children. That didn't include ice cream.

Good icecream and they have food as well. Limited selection of ice cream though. There is a lot of noise from the road since it is right on 12, so I would recommend going in the way back to the picnic tables away from the road. The owner is a little grumpy.

Soft serve raspberry with Chocolate Sprinkles - been stopping there for over fifty years on trips to and from the Adirondacks. Great food, great family business.
