This is the 3rd time I have made the 30 minute drive to the store during what is supposed to be normal operating hours, with nothing else noted on the fb page the door claims will be updated- for them to be closed. Not sure how a business stays operating this way.

Called the store for three days now during open hours no one answers the phone there i will find another pet store im sad this is what we have close to us for a pet store wish they had better work ethic and hope they treat the pets better than their customers I will not ever go there and give them any of my business and thats sad as I have many pets i care for and was willing to give them my business and money guess they don't like money hmmmmm strange world.

Our tank is thriving now that we don't buy from Potsdam Aquatics anymore. You need to especially avoid the bushynose pleco. He charges over $20 each for them, but they are usually already sick and only last a month or two. (After reading the other reviews I suppose the condition of his tanks should have been an indication that the pleco wasn't doing what he was advertising.) Owner is friendly and appears helpful, but he won't stand by anything he sells. We wasted almost $50 there just on the pleco within a few months, and he ghosted us when we attempted to remedy the problem. We found a cheaper (and more fun to watch) solution buying inca snails from Petco in Watertown. Those are only a few dollars, and if you buy a bad one they will replace it if you bring them a water sample from your tank.

I lost count on how many times I’ve tried calling to ask one simple question and nobody ever answers the phone!!!! What’s the point of having one IF YOU NEVER ANSWER IT!!!???

Place looks run down and tanks are loaded with algae and it's leaving some fish lethargic and others you can't see with poor lighting. The owner is Friendly but needs to improve on appearances and on getting merchandise more often than every few weeks because it's empty of supplies most of the time. Watch your step there as the areas are narrow and the floor uneven. Owner doesn't think you need any other fish than what he provides.

Great store. Has all your fishy needs. Staff is very friendly and informative. All the fish look amazing. Well worth the drive from Saranac Lake. I highly recommend this shop!

Got sold fish thought they were okay realize two days later they were actually sick tried to return them then realized on the receipt it says only returns within 6 hours since that's a little ridiculous how are you supposed to have this fish get sick within 6 hours sometimes they last two days and get sick my tanks are fine and nothing else was wrong check my pH balance and everything got sold old shrimp old fish and one of them was sick when I got it didn't realize it and it got my other fish sick keep going in and buying other ones then realized it wasn't the places I was selling it to it was him and he seems like he always had doesn't really want to help anybody and you always in the way or you never get a variety of fish wouldn't recommend I would recommend going to JP's or somewhere else in Watertown over him
