Not only are the prices beyond outrageous, the staff has no problems insulting you for no reason. They even insulted my infant daughter because she was interested in the toys. Twice now I've been insulated by staff for pointing out the sales that they made themselves. The prices aren't based off of appraisals, they're based off of what people are trying to sell similar items on ebay (they now put the "ebay price" on the sticker, so I have to imagine many people have said something about the prices) or just a random outrageous number they must have pulled from where the sun doesn't shine. Wouldn't recommend wasting your time here, which makes me sad to say because the animal shelter is a place I hold dear to me, but with the combination of rude staff and horrendous prices for what is mostly junk, I can't in good concince recommend you even step foot into this establishment.

This is NOT your average thrift store. You won't find rack after rack of tattered clothing or poorly organized piles of junk collecting dust. This place is expertly organized and boasts some of the highest quality 'treasures' you can find at a store like this. It's like a boutique/consignment shop, but at thrift store prices!! Everything is displayed properly, well-lit and has its own section - electronics, toys and games, books, kitchen appliances, crafts and fabrics, household - you don't have to guess where something might be kept. They seem to have new items out every day - forget that "well, maybe next week" feeling! I visit Best Friends Thrift once a week and I never leave empty-handed. The staff are also an absolute pleasure to interact with!

I used to frequent this thrift shop once or twice a week and loved it. Unfortunately, it would appear that the staff have begun using eBay and the like to price the donated goods, and the prices have become prohibitive (and sometimes downright ridiculous) in the past few months. I used to leave Best Friends with bags and boxes full of great finds. Now I rarely swing in and when I do, I'm almost insulted by the prices. Books marked at 9, 10 and even TWENTY dollars that sell for 4 bucks on Amazon...brand new. Camera lenses for $15 that sell on eBay for...$15. Sewing machines with notes written on them - "$375 - sells for $500!". Maybe, new in the box at a retail store. But this is a thrift store and these items are second hand and have been donated. It almost feels as though my sympathies for the SPCA are being taken advantage of, and I don't like it. Charging the going eBay rate at a thrift store is insulting in and of itself - listing items to sell on eBay is an exhaustive process. You have to research, photograph, and describe every nuance of the item meticulously. You have to monitor the item, answer numerous questions about it, fill in all the product specs and then, when it sells, you have to pack it and bring it to the post office and pay to have it shipped. Then you pay fees to eBay and to Paypal. There is a LOT of work that goes into selling on eBay, and throwing something that was given to you on a shelf and saying "well it goes for 50 bucks on eBay!" is a slap in the face to those of us that spend hours upon hours trying to sell our stuff there. It's a lot of work. If you want eBay prices, sell it on eBay. Otherwise, go back to being a thrift store for a good cause and price your second-hand, donated items accordingly.

This is one of the best stores we have ever been to. People are friendly, prices are awesome and the return policy ( which I've never had to use ) is really good.

Something for everyone, lots of different things, great prices saved me lots of money compared to even walmart and the dollar store and support the animal shelter so the money goes to a great cause and buying things used is also great for thr environment
