How I wish the store in Cuddebackville, NY was closer than this one. Port Jervis is small and does not have enough inventory or shelf space. The manager in this store does not care about good customer service at all and will not honor the 100 percent satisfaction guarantee on Clover Valley item. Don’t bother calling the corporate office for any issues because district manager won’t help you either. A huge company on every corner in America and they can’t make good on $3 worth of product.

Helpful and customer service oriented staff: Deryl is THE BEST, a pleasure. I needed a can of compressed air, to clean a non-working old thermostat, to be able to have heat last night. It was late and I didn't want to drive to Newton nor Milford, when they likely don't even have that item! Deryl found 2 cans at THE DOLLAR STORE! AND it worked, i have heat! Thank You.

The price of food is low and there are some very good deals for everyday grocery items. There is also a $1 aisle, which is cool, because even Dollsr Tree no longer has these items for $1.00 anymore. Staff is professional and friendly, in my experience. This location is well organized, well stocked, new products out right away. The only thing I do not buy here is home goods, decor, children's toys, things like this. They have very nice things but they are very over priced. The same items would be half the price at Walmart.

The store is hurting to keep inventory on the shelves. It is quite evident. But it seems like they are doing the best they can. I've stopped in a few times and everyone has always been nice to me. It has to be tough always hearing about the lack of inventory. So be easy on them.

Friendly and helpful employees. Willingly assist you, or, do their best if they are busy. I think they could use more help, workers and employees on the clock at the same time, as they can't run a register and stock shelves and clean a store that's been trashed by customers. It's impossible to accomplish everything and remain in business being overworked and understaffed for any length of time, no fault of the employees. The store the past 2 times I've visited looked like a garage sale gone wrong. I felt so bad for the employees. Corporate needs to assist these people and fix this place, please!!👍🦋

Good mini shopping mart. Have a wide variety of items including food, hygiene, housewares, baby, etc... prices are reasonable and they do accept coupons. They also accept digital coupons, via app or website! Most of the staff are helpful and know what and where everything is... I have noticed a frequent turnover with a few of the staff. They usually have whatever I'm looking for! Would recommend!

I love shopping at Dollar General it has almost everything i need. If i need anything else i will order online its a small store not crowded the staff isnt rude its easy to navigate its quiet you can think while you shop and get what you need you are not surrounded by 70-80 people like you would be in Wal-Mart. Thank you for being so convenient and having so many locations you make life so much easier.

Friendly staff but every time im forced to use this dollar general it looks like its just been robbed. Every aisle a complete mess and I always leave empty handed because they are never stocked up. Dollar general should remodle this store like the new one on 209 or close it all together, it is a black eye to the franchise.

A Great place for bargain shopping. It's just sad and upsetting that they don't hire many men. Every Dollar General I go shopping in always has a ratio of 20 to 1 female employees over the male employees. You would be lucky to see any men working at the Dollar General retail stores.

Good as you'd expect from Dollar General. Seemed low on stock in housewares, food was plentiful tho, the couple of times I've been here, but they were training a new stock person today.

Got cursed out by the store Manager because, they didn't give me my coffee, my Awesome Orange degreaser, stuffed peppers, and charged me for the dull pickles. Told me that her district Manager or the company doesn't tell me what to do do"( says Christie she lied about her name) store Manager. Then, she said those items weren't on my receipt which I circled around. I don't need to go to that store Walmart is cheaper. I can't believe such language came from a store Managers mouth!!! Then, I left after finally someone convinced her to give me my$20 and change back! Then, the cop came and told me not to waste my time or money at this store. I just spent $120.70 on cleaning supplies! I have waited 31 years to be banned from a store. I am still waiting for the district Manager to call back after I complained. The degreaser were still in the bag from when the guy put it in there and the stuffed peppers should be thrown out but, they probably put it back in the refrigerator.

Wide aisles and craft variety. Different assortment of goods compared to the last three General Dollars I've shopped in three other states. Glad it's not "cookie cutter" venue but quality and friendly staff in every location including this one.

Discounts are great. But what's better are nice people who are good at their jobs and enjoy helping others. This Dollar General had a very friendly and helpful staff.

It could be organized a lot better than what it has been. All the other Dollar General stores are clean and well organized with helpful..friendly staff. This one in Port Jervis could use some help

Large selection of products. everything from housewares to frozen food. Prices are reasonable. If the supermarket is out of it try dollar general. Good place to go. For snacks hygiene products.

Ok so with A ton of DG stores popping up this is by far one of the worst its always cluttered and seems as if every time you go there when it is crowded there is only one person working the register and never ever nice. They act like its your fault that they are there.

This store in Port Jervis does not adhere to customers wearing their face masks!! People coming in coughing and no masks!!Workers don't say a word! They are told by management not to say anything!Why do I want to go back to this store?? NOT

Dollar General in the Middletown and Port Jervis NY areas have VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EMPLOYEES AND NASTY ATTITUDES WHICH STARTS FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER AND THE STORE MANAGER AND EVERY OTHER PERSON THEY HIRE ARE ALL NASTY. It's hard to look at the clothes. Theres too much crammed together. As soon as u touch something, something else falls on the ground. I got tired of picking stuff back up and walked away.

Dirty bathrooms and general disorganization comparied to other Dollar General locations. Limited selection of cold food items and an overabundance of nic knacks and decorations. Try Dollar Tree by Kmart in matamoras for an actual dollar store experience
