I’m very upset about what happened today. I previously purchased their balloons to be blown up this morning for Safe Haven Nutrition’s birthday celebration. Well apparently they blew them up last night so the helium barely has the balloons floating. And, the man that helped me literally told me it was a courtesy that they put string on the balloons for me because the customer is supposed to buy the string even tho there’s no string in the store to buy. Plus, I had to pay $2 for simple small balloons for the helium. I feel that especially since I’m another business here in this area , I should have had better service. I had to re-string every balloon it was such a tangled mess. Not only that but I had garbage from someone else’s balloons in my bag with the rest of my balloons. I’m not one to usually complain or give bad reviews, but I just think something needs to be done there. I know I’m not going to go back there for balloons again. I was there today, February 22, 2023 at 8:30. It was a mess and even though they blew them up last night, they still weren’t even totally ready for me and I had balloons in with mine all tangled up that weren’t mine

Great selection low prices. The store is in Disorder compared to a Family Dollar try to pack to much stuff in there space. Prices are great. Selection especially in Pet department is great! As a pet lover important. Some employees ask them for stuff have no clue. A few employees know where every little thing is and some will go above and beyond and if the Soda you want is out of stock they will go in the back and 90% of the time will find for you.! I still like Family Dollar better.

Quit shopping at the D G in Port Henry the store was disgustingly dirtyA couple of weeks s ago returned.! Someone told us that the store was cleaned up. Checked it out and could hardly believe the difference. It was amazingly neat and clean. Kudos to whoever is the new manager. Place looks great

I just had to buy a few little gifts for my daughter to open for her b'day..she already had big gift. Store was cluttered..items scattered wherever, items opened. However the store was clean, wide variety of items and very nice staff. They really need to have a few people to go in during off hours and organize..it would be so much more convenient.

Very busy... one friendly efficient cashier but had a line. Very difficult to find anything as disorganized and many shelves nearly empty as huge boxes of product everywhere but no time or help to restock shelves.

My elderly mom told me the employee’s at this store have been helping my mom get supplies she needs and they have gone over and beyond to help her. I live 80 miles away and it made me cry with happy tears that the store personnel have offered her such good service. I cannot thank you enough and I will make sure everyone hears my positive story. EXCELLENT JOB!!!!

I have to humble myself writing a review for Dollar General, but it's actually a good store. The one in Port Henry features very friendly folks, although it can be a little disorganized at times. Things that I have found to be good value: The bath towels are nice for under five bucks. Their nacho cheese and ranch tortilla chips are great for a dollar a bag. Nice juice drinks for reasonable prices. Good salsa. Their razors give a good shave and are reasonably priced. It's OK -- try it out.

I don't like the way the store is set up. Prices are not as inexpensive as they were when the first store was here. I think Iit is better maitained since reopening. However I don't like having to wait on line with 8-10 people to check out while staff are outside smoking, texting & playing on their phones. Not fair to customers or their co-worker who is quite literally handling EVERYTHING!!!!! Management where are you???

They need to stock there shelf better every time I go in for my dog and cat food there out of both u either gotta get the small or extra large bag or don't have my cat food usually so I had to switch my cat food to something else that I see they always have in stock.

Not very impressed with the covid 19 regulations for masks in store and u go in the one on main street in Port Henry new York and u c everyone has a mask on except one guy talking to the assistant manager has no mask in sight and u politely say I'm sure do to nys regulations everyone is supposed to have a mask when in public.. and the night manager says rudely no they don't but the sign on the door says mask have to be on to enter!!!

Over crowded shelves with misplaced items. Open containers of various drinks and food. Packages opened with things taken out of it. Employees video chatting with their boyfriends not paying attention to customers. Using the store phone for personal call. The place is just a ball full of disarray.

Good prices not stocked well lots of clutter in aisle.you find something you like and all of a sudden they don't carry it anymore.they tell me they have to take what's sent to them they can't order. Bottom line good place for a bargain.

Making people work when there not feeling well and putting everyone at risk I'll definitely not ever shop at any other location that dollar general owns and I hope that the store in port Henry will be closed down for good

Prices are good lots of different items of clothing, and food in coolers and on the shelves, glad they built it back, after their fire, we were all worried that they wouldn't.THANKS.

Nothing is ever stocked there will be 2 or 3 people on shift but not working. There literally one good employee there and she's leaving for college
