Awesome waterfront/beachfront clam bar. They make an awesome Margarita and have solid seafood/bar food. We had the crabcake and the cheese burger with fries and slaw. It can get busy so expect to arrive early find your spot and stay a while!Parking: Parking on the streets is generally a no go in Point Lookout, luckily they have valet that will sometimes let you park yourself which I appreciate.

Very cool place in a very cool spot of Long Island. Right off the Loop Parkway near Long Beach. Beautiful sunsets. The food was good. I had the Grilled Tuna tacos and they were fresh and delicious. I recommend. She had the Lobster Roll and it was very good. Corn and fries were also great. We had a Pineapple Margarita and their Famous Rum Punch. Both amazing. Price was good too. Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya

As a restaurant reviewer with forty-four million views on all of my platforms, I don't like leaving less than four stars but I was completely underwhelmed. Ordering was a strange process. Customers place their order and it is brought out by a server. Our server, Amanda, was the only bright spot as she was very professional and personable. The shrimp tacos contained three shrimp and the lobster rolls and cole slaw were very dry. For better prices and service, you can find much better local options or head to Freeport. Ordering drinks was time consuming and cumbersome. I spent thirty minutes online and away from my dining partners. My dining companion requested that her tacos not contain a certain item because of a very severe allergy. I brought it to a young man (tall, wearing his cap backwards) who was behind the register. I explained the allergy and he responded "And...?" Then he rolled his eyes to a customer. Do I have to really explain a food allergy to someone working in the food business? He's the primary reason we won't return. With so many other seafood options, let this be your second or third choice.

Only good thing is location. Menus on table have incorrect pricing, food came out cold. Overpriced food.

The food is acceptable and the staff are kind. The real winning attribute, though is the indoor/outdoor beach party atmosphere. And easy access to the sandy beach and calm, inlet shoreline. Great views of the marina, inlet, and native shorebirds from inside and outside. A unique experience.Dietary restrictions: My son is allergic to eggs, nuts, and sesame. The chicken tenders have eggs, but the buns did not have sesame seeds on them. Staff was fine about answering allergen questions but there is no table service, so you have to wait in the food order line to speak to a staff member. My advice is to call ahead about allergens so you have your order picked out and only stand in line once.Parking: There is a medium sized dedicated parking lot across the street. The parking is free, but there is an attendant making sure that those who use the lot are actually going to the Clam Bar.Kid-friendliness: I found this place to be extremely kid friendly. It's very roomy, with plenty of space for kids to move around, check out the view from the huge windows, or go outside to walk on the docks or play in the sand and water. The music is fun and not too loud, but covers a multitude of kid sounds. We brought a few sand toys with us, but not bathing suits or a change of clothes. Our 4 under 6 years old definitely got wet and coated with sand. We had a short ride home so it was fine, but next time I'd probably do bathing suits. There's a foot wash outside that's useful for rinsing children and toys.

Beautiful ambience! My husband and I had dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed the view. We were greatly anticipating having dinner here and were slightly disappointed to see there were no servers and that you had to order from a window and were served on paper plates. My husband and I both had smallManhattan clam chowders and lobster tails. The chowder was tasty, the lobster roll had somewhat of an imbalance of bread to lobster roll. The lobster roll was lost in the roll in my opinion opinion. The lobster rolls are served with fries and coleslaw. We had nodrinks and paid ~$100.00 ordinarily I would say this is overpriced but given the location and the ambience the price makes sense. I recommend this eatery!

Food was mediocre. Self-Order, Self-Serve. Came for the atmosphere. Outdoor and Indoor dining available. Cute small beach area to hang out and quaint gift shop.

View and set up is very pretty but don’t go there for food!Everything we ordered had extra sugar in it. Lobster roll would be ok if the bun wouldn’t be glazed with sugar. Slaw was so sweet I could it it. I think they put sugar on sweet potato fries.I’m definitely not trying sea food after viewing other reviews.Greek salad… I don’t want even start describing it.Bad draft beer.

Great spot on the water for your post boating / beach food and drinks. Food is elevated bar food but still good had the halibut platter and sword fish tacos. Easy to order via the counter or bar and place your buzzer on your table someone will bring your food to you. First come first serve on tables plenty of outside / inside seating. Cool gift shop with plenty of memorable items to take home from your visit.

We have eaten here many times. It is often extremely busy so try to aim for an off time. The lobster bisque is divine! The fried combo platter is immense and delicious. The cole slaw is one of the best I have ever had. You go up and Oder then wait for your number to be called to get your food. There is a small indoor seating area and an outside seating area as well.

We went to the Pt. Lookout fish market its very casual dining there is a huge outdoor deck over looking the inlet you can sit and watch the boats go by. We started with clams on the half shell, lobster bisque soup, pan seared sea bass, lobster roll which was loaded with knuckles & no mayo which I prefer. Everything was so delicious we can't wait to go back

A cute casual self seating clam bar. The menu offers an array of seafood dishes as well as larger entrees. Such as pastas. Everything is great for sharing, I would to order a few different things and just share everything with the table. The food overall was ok, the Manhattan clam chowder was my favorite, the clams however weren’t very tasty and a little over done. The flounder tacos were good, we had 2 nice sized pieces of flounder in each taco. The alcoholic drinks include beer and wine. The views from the outdoor seating are of the marina. There is a parking lot as well with free valet parking.

Important: Make sure to have cash before going. You cannot tip with your card.Getting a table around 5pm for 9 people was much easier than expected. Parking can be somewhat of a nightmare, but that is just the most Point Lookout thing ever. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available. Knats got pretty knarly around dusk, so our group moved inside. It was pretty loud inside, but so would most places on a Saturday evening. The renovations inside are quite nice, and there is a nice gift shop inside too.Food selection was a little underwhelming, but the food itself was really good. Fried food is in a light breading which is very good.Drinks were also good. Had three different bartenders do Pina Coladas. One out of the three was lackluster, but otherwise were as refreshing as you can get.Overall a solid backup if the neighboring establishment is unable to host you and/or your group.

Three of us had lunch today at the clam bar. I had the crabcake sandwich, which didn't taste fresh. It tasted like a deep-fried frozen "fish something cake." It had more breadcrumbs then crab. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken tasted reheated and dry. Our friend had the Greek grilled chicken salad. The salad was fair, but the chicken was dry and reheated. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer, it was good. The bottled water was warm. The food is served on environmentally unfriendly disposable plastic plates and utensils. The prices are high considering the service is much like a high school cafeteria. Have no plans to go back anytime soon.

Beautiful sunset spot, fresh seafood!Service was quick, yet we had to figure it out at first. Also, I’ve asked about an item then disregarded ordering it, but I still paid for it and had to have it. The lobster roll had rice in it, and rice on the side, ended up with a rice platter…
