Until today, I have never been to a store’s self checkout, and had an employee come up next to me and complete the survey for customers while I’m trying to scan my items. Of course she gave the store perfect scores. Not an “excuse me”, or a friendly reminder for me to take the survey, just a “sorry I’m doing the survey”. Excuse me, I’m doing your job, you don’t get to do my survey 🤣

Yesterday I went to the store with my daughter & they had Pepsi at 3 for $6. They seem to have run out of Pepsi the guy even went to the back of the store to check and no more 3 for $6. So thought I’ll just come back tomorrow. They didn’t offer a rain check . Anyway I went today and the woman at the customer service desk was pretty rude She told me that if I didn’t have a rain check that they wouldn’t honor the sale. They seemed rude and I was a little embarrassed since I was with my daughter who by the way was with me the day before.. They should of offered me a rain check if not they should of honored it today… especially knowing that they ran out of Pepsi 2 liter bottles…

Really great. Fully stocked grocery and produce. Ready to take meals looked kind of old but people were buying their lunch items in the morning. Employees were considerate of shoppers while maintaining the store. I where in for a few items and ended up finding good specials. This is a Safeway Corp store so my shopper account worked for in store specials.

Clean, and nice people, but the products I was looking for were out of date.

Nice grocery store, friendly staff. We have been going to Acme many years. We love our grocer. We love to get our fresh bread from the bakery.

Over the last year I've noticed a big change in the seafood department. I don't feel like I have to always go to Adam's just to get fresh seafood. The gentleman that I deal with there is very friendly and always helps me get what I need. I also noticed today that they had self-checkout lanes which was a must have for ACME. This is one of the first times I was able to check out in under 20 minutes and I got nice fresh shrimp for my shrimp parmesan . Couldn't be happier.

Ok store. Watch you don't get over charged! Store has been remodeled a bit. Still very expensive unfortunately.1/2023Still is way overpriced. Vegetables are nasty. Deli and meat prices are outrageous. I shop elsewhere unless it's an emergency.

I went in to buy produce, bing cherries to be exact. There must have been a hundred fruit flies in and around the two remaining bags… which were open btw! I bought some grilled chicken and ended up throwing it away as it was too dry and overcooked to eat. This store is a disaster, depressing is a kind word to describe it and it’s the only game in town. Blech!

I have been shopping at this Acme since I moved to Pleasant Valley 8 years ago, and I can tell you confidently that the selection of products, (organic produce and speciality products) has gotten considerably better. Their Organic produce section is much larger than it was, and always has random offerings that I never find at other grocery stores, like organic fennel, and fairly-priced bags of organic grapefruits. There are specific foods that I know I can always find at this store. Their pre-cut melon is always ripe and delicious, and they sell Aqua ViTea Kombucha, which is not sold everywhere. Their prices on Boar's Head cold cuts are cheaper than other grocery stores, and with the Acme App, and U Pick points, I definitely save a lot of money. I do occasionally find some overripe produce that needs be removed from the section, but I've definitely come across this problem in all produce sections...it's a lot of perishable food to keep up with! Also, if I get home and find that something I purchased has something wrong with it, I have never had any issues bringing it back to the store and being offered a full refund or replacement immediately. All in all, I enjoy shopping at Acme for their selection, prices, convenient location, and the fact that they are rarely busy. I also like that they are open until 11pm on weeknights for those last minute shopping trips.

I used to come here often when I lived in Pleasant Valley. In terms of groceries I feel like they've grown a lot. There is definitely a wider variety of groceries than before. The store is always very clean at least when I come in. There are staff around to help you, and the customer service desk people are always helpful. The bottle return is open for decent hours as well. My overall experience was pleasant and the pricing isn't too much different from an average grocery store.

I can get around the store quickly, it’s small and never dirty. The customer service in the store friendly and they work hard for their customers. There is a lot improvements that should be done to the store but I’ll leave it at that because this is my respectable opinion and I don’t want others to think I’m writing an negative comment :)

Wow. I brang 8 apples to the register and the total was $26. And change. The cashier noticed right away and double checked if they had rang up right and she said they did. No apples for me. This store is more expensive than other stores by all means

The customer service has gotten better, so I've been shopping there more. Their WiFi could be better; need it to use the app for coupons. Bummed they don't have a ethnic hair care selection like other local grocery stores, but there's a CVS around the corner so no big deal I guess.

In general much better market place now. They made some improvements after taking over the place in Pleasant Valley. However, last time I was there I was waiting in a Seafood section forever some someone to come and help me. Never came. I left without service. Very disappointing

Decent medium sized grocery store. There's a bunch of specialty items you can't find at a regular super market, which makes this particular store a like on my list. Besides that, expect to overpay. I walked out with one, single bag maybe 8-10 items and it cost me close to $90.00. If I'm not looking for a really good organic tree tapped maple syrup, or a spice that's hard to come by, I stick with Shop Rite/Stop and Shop. Also, friendly, helpful staff.

The Pleasant Valley store is fine but the deli needs help. Poor customer service. You can stand at the deli endlessly and no one assists you. Even when they eventually notice you they are not friendly or helpful.

For the longest time only 1 worker in the deli. She did not look happy, seemed she was very annoyed & didnt want to be there. She said they didn't have the sale item, but she said she could give me something else for same sale price when I asked. Then she said it wouldn't be ready for awhile. I went shopping. Some items I wanted I couldn't find even after I asked, they said this aisle or the next. Just pointed. The guy in produce looked & stared at me like I had 10 heads. Customer service lady was nice.

Very disappointed at the changes. Got rid of all my favorites. No Freihofers bread (my favorite) no more Polly-o cheese also a family favorite. Your Signature select brand stinks, not half as good as the name brands that were there. Things that have been in that store for 20+ years, gone. I'll drive the extra 10 miles and waste my gas and time to get what I need at Shop Rite. I'm completely disappointed with Acme.

This the most overpriced food store I have ever been in, even their sale items are expensive. We went here part out curiosity and part out of convenience. Everyone in Pleasant Valley must be very wealthy. Gave them three stars for cleanliness and friendly staff. Should really be getting 1 star though.

Poor quality and availability of produce. Tried many different days and times and always the same. Meat section is very good. Grocery is adequate. Dairy is small and frozen food is plentiful.

Surprisingly not a bad little supermarket. The prices on some things are really good - produce and yogurt comes to mind. Unfortunately it's a little disorganized. Items you'd expect in one aisle are often in another, somewhat distantly related, aisle. Then again, this is not a huge store like Stop & Shop and selection isn't as good. They do have a bakery, and roasted chicken and a fairly wide selection of homemade soups, pre-cut fruit and prepared dishes. They also have a great policy that if you get something home that isn't fresh, they give you the item for free.

Dirty store with apparently no food safety policy. Produce and meat sections have an odor on some visits that is concerning. I have contacted the national company and store manager on various issues and they are not interested in communicating. There have been no responses to emails or phone complaints that I was told would be responded to.Issues I have brought up.There is a strong unclean odor at times in both produce and meat sections. Produce is not well-cared for. Avocados are constantly old and beyond usability. Organic zucchini is old and shriveled. Asparagus is so old that the stem is dried and hollowed out and the tops are mushy. And each of these items I have witnessed every time I visit the store. After my last visit and experience I will no longer go back. It is not safe. I got to my car and realized that my fresh fish purchase was bagged with other food. I went back into the store, not angry. I wanted the young man who had bagged my purchase to understand that was not safe. His response, joined by the person managing the checkouts was there was nothing wrong with packaging raw fish with other foods.I went home and googled before doing anything else and felt site after site - Professional grocer organizations, food safety organizations and government sites clearly outlining that not only should raw fish be bagged separately, chicken, beef etc and all raw animal products shouldn't even be co-mingled in the same bag.I called the store manager who insisted as long as the fish was wrapped, they could put it in with other foods. I told him why he was wrong and he was not interested. He told me that I could ask to have my items bagged separately but it was not store policy. I told him that made me responsible for the food safety of my purchases which should be his responsibility. I asked if they had a food safety policy and he said no.I was dumb-founded. I called Acme corporate and was told by the person in the call center that they couldn't find any documents or records to share that outlined Acme's food safety policy or how to bag food safely. A ticket was opened and I was told I would have a response the following week.It has been two weeks and nothing. I will not return to this store. It is not safe.

Every time I go here the automatic door does not work so I usually end up walking into it. Expecting it to open🤨. Staff is extremely friendly selection is very nice and varied… A little pricey but a great local store. Be careful leaving when it’s icy as there is Usually a sheet of ice right outside the front door and a slight slope for wheelchair access that may cause you to slip and slide right into traffic.

I went shopping for the first time at one of its stores, which is located at 13 North Ave, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569. I felt complex uncomfortable inside it because the employees of the store were looking at me in a discriminatory way. Also when I was getting ready to pay the cashier that was still charging he told me to switch to the other line, that he had to close his box and he never closes it. Then I went to the next box and the person who attended me, possibly African-American race, did it in a kind way. But otherwise it was an unpleasant experience.

I did not shop at acme for over a year bc I think customer service is not what it should be… there are some that are very nice, but lately when I’ve gone in the cashiers don’t say hello, how is your day and just hand you your receipt with no THANK YOU AT ALL AND STAND BACK AND WATCH YOU PACK AND LIFT YOUR ITEMS W/O ASKING IF YOU WOULD LIKE HELP!!! I don’t know if they realize it but the customers who go in there pay your salary… I like many people in there, but when I go to other grocery stores I get TREATED WITH RESPECT AND I AM THERE ALMOST DAILY… TIME TO SHOP ELSEWHERE UNTIL THESE KIDS LEARN SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESPECT….

I used to think Acme was a decent store, the quality of merchandise in that store has greatly decreased in the past few years. Many of the fresh vegetables turn bad if you don't eat them the day you buy them.Today my son went to buy one onion and bean sprouts. They had no bean sprouts and there was a rotten onion in the batch and my son said the bin with the onions were was swarming with flying bugs.He proceeded to go check the frozen vegetables thinking he could get frozen onions and possibly bean sprouts except he couldn't because the entire case of vegetables was removed. The case with the pizza and ice cream was fully stocked, but there was no frozen vegetables. NO VEGETABLES AT ALL!To top it off when he was leaving the store he said there was a young man, who collects carts, was shoving the carts he had collected into the other carts that were in front of the store, making a tremendous amount of noise. My son who went shopping is not a kid he's a grown man.

Poor management for as long as they've been at this location. Only one half of the help is helpful & friendly. They are either hot or very cold. Poor and/or unmatched price labeling. Onions we're rotten for extended periods even after bringing it to their attention. Overpriced for this area. Always understaffed, making it exceptionally difficult to get assistance.

Extremely clean store. Friendly staff. Good selection of items. More pricey than other local/not so local stores. But convenient for immediate area and sales can be really good at times.
