Prices are a little steep for me but if they don't have what you're looking for at Walmart, Petsmart will. The staff is also very friendly and polite.

I have a variety of animals; from a salt water aquarium to an elderly rabbit, chinchilla and a cat. I’ve used our local Petsmart for my pets needs. It seems every time I go in the store the staff is MISERABLE and SO RUDE. I’m done shopping with this Petsmart and will take the longer commute to go to smaller businesses and Petco in Queensburry. Sick of dealing with the rudeness and lack of help going into a pet store. It’s wild. Never been impressed with the range of employment I’ve encountered there.

I used the groomer services and they did a beyond fantastic job. My pooch was wirey, shedding, with irritated skin from a hard winter and tangling. Now she's super soft with no dandruff at all. Her coat feels better. They handled her anxiety so well and she didn't want to leave after she was done.Also. I took a look at their fish department out of curiosity. Typical PetSmart stock. But tanks were clean, well put together. Fish looked vibrant and fair quality for PetSmart. Staff was right there to be helpful and answer questions.

We were told a shipment of guinea pigs would be in Saturday morning and be there when the doors opened, this a long drive for us. We were there as directed and asked an employee if the shipment came in. She said no and to try again tomorrow. I decided to call right there in the store and was told they were, in fact, there, and they'd be out by 12. So I went to the mall for 3 hours to kill time and came back at 12:30, they were not out yet so I politely asked if they would be put out soon. The manager flipped out and said they were not going to put them out. We are never coming to this store again. Making the trip over to Burlington petco now.

0 stars if was an option.They are SO SICK.. this organization..SICKENING!! they are cruel to the poor animals!!!! They abuse and neglect animals! They put them alive in the freezer and throw them away garbage while alive It’s VERY DISTURBING AND VERY DISGUSTING!!!! Makes me SICK!!! Makes my stomach turn. The animals on”display” are filthy inside the cages VERY unsanitary and the animals such as the birds are malnourished and some have feathers missing due to possibly malnutrition and stress!!DO NOT listen to the employees they wouldn’t/ don’t know NOTHING about the animals there!! and don’t listen to what they tell you there are NOT knowledgeable and don’t know they just very uneducated!!!! Bring your pet whatever it might be TO THE VET and seek a professional advice/ recommendations and NOT from employees that are NOT professional and don’t know/wouldn’t know. Dont listen to them about your pet. They are INHUMANE should get reported and should get SHUT DOWN!!!! How animals are treated is SO DISGUSTING INHUMANE AND SICKING!!! These animals are treate very poorly and unfairly!!!!! Needs to be reported!!!! Gross!!!!This is another organization that are in petsmart every Saturday’s they should be calling out that are inhumane and keeps cats captives it’s just very INHUMANE and SO WRONG DISGUSTING do that to cats!!!!! This adoption agency called “animal rescue welfare services, Inc “ these women are very rude “to good” to talk to you and answer the questions that might have. They are charging people for the “adoption fee’s” they can careless about the cats… the cats sit all frickin’ day and night in those small cages , very scared ,sad ,lonely, stressed,filthy and just dirty…very unsanitary!!!!! They just are terrible people!!! These women are the devils in disguise are horrible and won’t have a decent conversation with you when you ask a question they will either blow you off or shut you down by telling you “conversation is over” they have denied the application based on the fact (which is not anymore on the application stating anything about “proofing income” and denied the adoption application based on the fact “income” and they wanted “proof”. Don’t adopt and pay money to adopt the poor cats from them!! DONT do it!! Don’t let them like gaslight you whatnot. Don’t let fool you. Instead, there are many cats “throw aways” out there… that are left and abandoned and if you want to a cat/kitten you probably can find outside homeless running around out there and that are more in need of your help and home then this organization this “ animal rescue welfare services” they care about your money and not about the cats!!!! Don’t support them. This kind of organizations are FAKE… They are for their personal gain and most likely criminals too so DO NOT provide any personal information such as income ,income tax,SSN…etc and you DO NOT have to and DO NOT need to provide “proof” anything to them.If you have a good heart or have any good in your heart do good if you want a cat there is one out there …outside in the cold,hundry ,lonely,sad hurt and homeless that desperately needs/wants a safe and good home and that the money that you probably give to that “ animal rescue welfare services” their “adoption fee” can and could go to the health,vet visits,meds.testing and vaccinations to that homeless,poor,cold hungry,neglected and abandoned cat that is needing of a human help,companionship ,love,warmth ,care,safety ,happiness and love from you so give that money to these cats in need out there that you probably can find (there are a lot a lot of cats homeless running around) that you probably can “catch “/ find that would love you to give him/her a home and not organizations like these “animal rescue welfare services,inc”.

Our cashier was skylar and she was absolutely amazing!! I loved to see how the pets are being cared for here. Everyone here cares for the animals, and all the staff I saw was just so nice and welcoming.The fish here get regular water changes, and are well loved. Good management and clean space!

We mostly use the store for the pet grooming. Their groomers are friendly and great with my dog. Kelsey made our Yorkie poo a very handsome fellow.

Petsmart in plattsburgh I usually only shop by default. The prices are on higher end, though if you go through the steps you can very quickly price match an item if you found cheaper else where. They locally are the only place I know to get crickets so I'm there often. Theres one maybe two long term floor members who are attentive and enjoyable. Lots of new faces every time I go for staff members. When the store manager is on the floor I often avoid her as my interactions with her have not been friendly or quick and can sense there's a reason for so much turnover on the floor staff side. Like seeing the dogs when they are in there and they keep it pretty stocked.

They have a pretty good selection of merchandise and there's usually someone who can help you find something, but their cashiers almost always a problem entering their menagerie of coupons, perks, and whatnot when a purchase is rung up at the cash register, and you are held hostage in the store until it's sorted out. They won't let you take anything out of the store, even if they've successfully entered your payment information, and the more loyal the customer that you are and the more that you are purchasing, the more inconvenient this situation is. I was told "It's our policy," but I recently observed a convenience store associate letting a customer take a gallon of milk to her car while he made a couple of milkshakes for the customer, without the customer having tendered payment, and I doubt the convenience store associate ever had been told it was against store policy to do that. This "policy" of PetSmart was particularly galling to me the last time I shopped there, because my dog was waiting for me in their grooming salon while the cashier was struggling with ringing up her grooming and a large bag of dog food, and a reasonable person would think of my dog as being more than sufficient collateral for the bag of dog food they wouldn't let me carry out. And I was the only customer in the store at the time, so it wasn't as if I would be holding up a line. I continue to patronize other PetSmarts. They might have the same "policy," but I wouldn't know, because they don't have the same delay at the cash register. I'll try this PetSmart again when their management changes, because their cashiers seem to be their newest hires and it's their management that's responsible for training their cashiers, or so you would think.

Staff is always so pleasant, animals though I don't think should be sold in big chains- at least at this location the staff tend them wonderfully. And they are always clean and look healthy.I go here often and I am recognized. They are all so friendly and kind.

Terrible experience with a staff member! I am a very loyal customer I feed a large cat fish weekly as well as a large snake. I use this store only because it's the only one around an I'm forced to. Every time I am in the store hunter in the fish department has been nasty and had a problem with every thing I needed or wanted. She acts like it's a problem for her to do her job an get you fish. She shouldn't be working with people acting like she does. If i can get a Different employ to help me I try to because hunter makes me very uncomfortable she's a nasty person who doesn't know anything about fish.

Incompetent, Lazy, and Patronizing. I have brought my dog to many petsmart grooming places in both New York state and in Pennsylvania. This was by far the worst experience. They couldn't even tell the difference between an excited dog and a distressed dog. I have vet tech assistant training and have owned dogs all my life. I know dogs. I especially know my own dog who has never had an issue before at either a private groomer or at a petsmart one. Not until today apparently. Will never be returning to petsmart for grooming or otherwise. Being talked down to like I was some 1st time dog owner and then ultimately told that they can't have a barking dog in one of their cages in the grooming area... if dogs barking bothers someone they probably shouldn't be working in a pet store.

This place disposes live animals in their dumpster!! Even tho they put the live animals on ice to kill them faster they are very much alive!! Parakeets sentenced to their death for a broken foot when they clearly don’t have a broken foot or anything and are able to fly away!! Little geckos tossed in alive for whatever reason! Hamsters too! I’m sure they’ve tossed Guinea pigs that were alive in the garbage as well! Fish in garbage bags that were trying to survive! This is soooooo inhumane! Also. I’m sure you have to properly dispose of critters NOT TOSS THEM IN THE GARBAGE IN THEIR LITTLE BOXES THEY WERE PURCHASED IN OR IN BLACK GARBAGE BAGS!! You guys are sick! I bet the reason why y’all stopped carrying rats is because y’all learned they don’t die easily when you toss them out alive and why I’ve seen them running around the parking lot a few times when you did carry them!! Wish I could leave zero stars… but you rightfully get 1 as I adopted a cat from focus on ferals whom use you guys to find them home!
