There were huge carts in front of the aisles, but they were more than willing to move them to get to the shelves behind. Their clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. The process are very competitive and the selection is always huge. This store is very busy and they work very hard here.I will always give this store 5 stars because the staff is always friendly no matter what.It's a pleasure to shop there. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Update from my review 3 yrs ago.I'm excited to see the new remodel! And fingers crossed they got things a lil more In Order. We shop here very often as its convenient for us being so close to home. Most of the employees are amazing! There's a few that shouldn't be working in customer service! They are very rude! Including the manager! I've seen ALOT of employees come and go.(I feel like and been told it's due to management most of the time). Ive seen things go downhill with this dollar general. Waiting time to cash out is very long most of the time!!! Ppl say it's very dirty... some spots are due to being neglected, like the The candy bars at the counter are very dusty! When they get shipments in its takes them days/a week to stock it all so the isles are loaded with boxes so you can't shop or even get down the the isle. The part that upsets me most is they lock up the store whenever they feel like it with no notice! We ride our bikes there at 5pm for things we need and the doors are locked!! When They should be open! I understand emergencies happen but this happens WAY to often. I understand they are under staffed and I appreciate the couple employees that do love there job there and work very hard to make it a pleasant shopping experience for you.

Just got done shopping there all three people that I came in contact with working at the store were extremely nice and extremely helpful. All three of them were busy when I approached each of them to help find something and they genuinely stopped and cared more about helping me then their task at hand. Thank you ladies!

Love the manager, she's great. Staff is pretty helpful and very nice and will bring you to the product you're looking for! Pretty clean store, rarely anything in aisles.

Never enough cashier's, very bare shelves and understocked. When shipment does arrive, it takes days to unload it in which all the boxes are left in the aisles taking up space. Employees do not pay attention, to the ppl in need of assistance. Lastly one employee is very rude, nasty and impatient... Definitely could use some improvement.. maybe should go visit the Ellenburgh location, because that have got it together over there.

Constructive criticism, store is getting better organized from previous months however still have a way to go before up to par. Need more staff. Appears to be always understaffed which leads loss and disorganization. Improvements appear to be taking place, but feel that upper management perhaps needs to allocate more hrs for coverage. An area where most major corporations fail the staff and store managers hence the high turn over rate.Other than that good parking excellent location variety of goods a discount prices. Good luck.

Dollar General is typically cheaper than Family Dollar, although the workers are always doing tasks such as stocking that remove them from their cashier duties. That is not their fault though. Overall, it is a good store.

I would give 5 stars but I have noticed how empty their shelves have been at certain DG stores. Very inconvenient for people. I honestly think its because of the pandemic and not necessarily the stored fault.

Mike im assuming the manager or an assistant manager was horrible to deal with. Johnathan a cashier was absolutely amazing. Mike honors a price verbally and on the computer then cancels it because he "changed his mind" horrible manager. That's called false advertisement Mike.

Looked in 2 other stores for watch batteries for my grandsons toy. The very nice cashier at Dollar General was the only one to read the back of the battery package to see what other numbers they replace. Other than Dollar General being $8.00 cheaper for the batteries, the cashier was priceless in her customer service. There at 830pm.

The one stop shop closest to home! I can typically find just about anything I am looking for there, and if not, I usually can get close enough to be satisfied!! This is for sure a weekly, sometimes multiple times a week stop and shop for me🌞

I love dollar general they have a little bit of everything. Especially the on on south Catherine Street. Nice customer service ALWAYS quick lines and things are easy to find. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly.

Always disgusting. That's all I can say. The store manager yells at employees and guests. Nothing is cleaned. Dust is covering everything. Theres always some sort of spill or stain. Surprised the building is still standing.

Good prices, cute clothes, just make sure you look at them thoroughly. I've bought 2 pairs of leggings and both had a decent sized hole in them.

Located on South Catherine street in Plattsburgh. Close proximity to the college, within walking distance. Also theres a bike path that goes from the college right by it. There's a little bit of everything here with good customer service. Great place to grab a couple last minute things.

My experience at this facility are limited, I went in and asked "do yall have any meatballs?" And the cashier whos name tag read Jamie looked at me with out missing a beat replied with "you can meet these balls!" And then disappeared, only to reappear with a dodgedball. We played around of dodgeball in the parking lot for the throwback feels. Jamie definitely knows the five Ds of dodgeball. Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge. Jamie B is a formidable opponent. Much more professional than the rest of the staff. Made the whole experience worth it and a throwback. Will recommend for her skill level.

Filthy, cluttered store. They try to do maximum amount of business with minimum amount of help. There are not enough staff to put away all of the stock, which is littered throughout the store, on storage carts, blocking the way of the Isles. Shame on Dollar General

Everything I buy here has something wrong with it, whether it be the sprayer on a bottle of cleaner, clothes, solar lights, sports bra, makeup. I believe these are the defective items that didn't make the cut! This is Criminal
