Whenever I come to Fort Drum, North Country Store has become a destination lunch spot for me. Super small grocery store with a cold cut meat counter and fresh made sandwiches Subs and wraps, piled high with ingredients. The grocery store side has fresh spices, fruits and vegetables and a refrigerated section with plenty of cold soft drinks, sports drinks, and juices. Fantastic prices. I'm here for a month this trip, with its close proximity to Drum, I'll have the opportunity to visit many more times. Three picnic tables outside.

Great selection of products at a reasonable price. Staff is always very friendly and helpful ! I have ordered sandwiches, subs, and wraps to go, you cannot go wrong with whatever you order. The orders are always very good. They have a nice selection of deli products. I always buy from the deli, their prices are the lowest that I have found for quality products. I absolutely recommend this store !!

It's like a deli convenience store. Excellent choices on spices & baking ingredients and utentils. Deli has meat and cheese you can purchase by weight. Small selections of cold drinks like dairy and sodas. Best of all is the made to order sub & sandwich shop. Get the Italian herb bread for your sub, it's so good. For first timer, there is an order for making your sub, it's posted in front. They thought it out for you. I got the club on a whole Italian herb bread (half at lunch, other for dinner) with chipolte mayo, honey mustard, spinach, lettuce, black olives, banana peppers and the Italian oil & vinegar (don't skip it). My sub was way better than Jersey Mike's or Subway. Outside of the store was an Amish man selling desserts, eggs, maple and honey. We bought a few hand pies and maple syrup. Hand pies pasteries were dry but it was $2/ea. Would go back. Highly recommend going for sub sandwiches.

Great place for those looking for bulk gluten free baking or cooking ingredients! Like almond or spelt flour!! The food is fresh from the deli. There is also an amazing assortment of bulk items. Plus the yummy candy for the kiddos!

This place is on my hubby's top rated list. He swears their fresh meat deli subs are the best around town, and loves all of there old school candies on stock. I myself love the fresh spices and seasonings as well as the honey sticks. The sour cherry is fantastic.

Wish I could give 10 stars! This is truly one of my favorite places in the "North Country". The last time I was there was in October of 2019. They have good cheese curds, pickled polish sausage and whoopie pies! And everyone inside is nice.

Great store with tons of great bulk and local items. Great location off US 11 and easy to spot. Worth a visit if you are headed up to Potsdam or points beyond.

Great place! We stop in on our way through to Malone several times a year. Homemade breads for delicious sandwiches. The best Italian sub I've had since I lived in NJ, not kidding! Get it toasted with the shakers and sub oil on a homemade white sub roll. It's perfect. Also good selection of bulk food items and local sweets. Clean bathroom and nice picnic benches outside.

This was a nice little stop. Nice place with a nice little store and a variety of food goods. Then you go to the wood products. So much to look at and want. And the prices are fairly reasonable. The home you can walk through is amazing. I could see that being my retirement home.

I mostly go here for their slab bacon and the amazing selection of cheeses and cold cuts. One of the few places where I can get old fashioned (Dutch) loaf. Their spices are very inexpensive as well. Five stars!

Online ordering for pickup is fast and easy, the food is always quality, and the prices are great. Deli meat better quality than some grocery stores and often cheaper per pound. Lots of unique items in store too, stuff you will never see at Wally World.

The lunch sandwiches are delicious! If it was closer to work I would visit more often. I enjoy their rewards card as well. I received a text update letting me know I get a free 6 in sandwich for my birthday. The management and staff are very friendly. This is an excellent place to stop for anyone visiting the North Country as well as for those who live here.

This is a great store. Good food ,the cheese is so good. There is a sausage they make up their like a kalbasie, so good. It stinks I love so far. I'm in southern New York state. Over a 4 1/2 hour drive. Not a easy drive for me as I am battling cancer.

Ate here for the first time today after co-workers have been telling me how good it was for a couple of years now... They did not disappoint! The people were very courteous, the subs were amazing with fresh baked bread and quality meat (better than subways cheap quality), prices were very fair (around 7 something for a footling buffalo chicken), and they have a good selection of fresh baked bread and pastries, produce, and other goodies. I would definitely recommend this place, I only wish I would have tried it sooner.

Great Deli options, subs are the Bomb!!!! Clean and friendly environment. Some things are a little pricey but they are worth it. They accept EBT as well, which can be helpful to many.

I can't speak to any of the deli items, but lots of people seem to like them, as evidenced by the 30+ people in there midday on a weekday. There is a wide selection of bulk spices and flours, etc.Staff are friendly, usually very busy. Like a lot of North Country places, lots of younger folks on summer jobs or similar.I come here to pick up Grindstone farm orders, as it's the closest option for me and I can get a gallon of vinegar at the same time. I wish there were more local items (other than gifts and syrups - eggs would be great), and if there were more produce or groceries they could easily compete with the dollar store or walmart, and I'm coming from Theresa and Oxbow most times. Clayton Co-op is the next best bet for local, organic, or bulk, just much farther away (I often bike).

Twice a year I used to stop by here. This little store packs a punch. They have a great selection of cheeses, meats, and homemade jams. Spring for the 12 year cheddar if you like sharp cheese. And do yourself a favor and buy a few jars of FROG jam (and Hoppin' FROG, if you like spicy things). Plus, the price on bulk spices can't be beat!
