Red Tail RidgeThe best winery I went today has the fewest pictures because they had the best wine all-around (No time for photos). No fancy pavilions or restaurant style seating (I stood the whole time), just great tasting wine. I bought an entire case for my home stock. Please go by and support the true craftsmanship of Red Tail Ridge Winery. This is the place you were trying to find. Stop by and get yourself some great wines.

Hands down the absolute BEST vineyard in all of the Finger Lakes! My fiancé and I had a wonderful wine tasting with Bruce followed by a tour of the Vineyard and their facilities. We are already planning our next trip once the renovations and hospitality center have finished being built, but if you’re in the area make it a point to visit—I promise you won’t be disappointed and the quality of their wines supersedes that of any other one in the area!

We were recommended to go here by another winery, and boy, are we pleased that we managed to get a reservation! The tasting room is smaller and without a view, which may put some people off, but it just provided a more intimate setting where we could spend time learning about, and of course, tasting the wine. Our guide, Ed, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The wines themselves are great. We only the tasted the dry wines, as that's our preference, and all were great. We definitely left with a few bottles!

Came 15 minutes before closing and asked if it was too late for a tasting and the female said, “yes it is, but you can get a glass “. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes and she never made eye contact with us. Only complained about how tired she wasTo another customer . We walked out.

Our host was very knowledgeable and engaging. $10 bought 5 rather small tastings in a plain Jane facility. We enjoyed our visit but there are better wineries to stop at.

Wow what a heavenly place. A beautiful tasting room and a comfortable terrace with just stunning views of the vineyards and lake Seneca. An afternoon that will live long in our memory.

Jesse and Jordan were so accommodating to our small group. They were kind and quick to serve. They told us valuable information and joined in on all of our fun. They even let us enjoy our snacks while we tasted. They were so much fun and we really hope to come back again! I would definitely recommend a visit!

This was the first winery I visited in the Finger Lakes that actually had a vineyard, and a beautiful vineyard. The tasting was super quick and informative (you can choose 5 wines from a list). I personally loved the Dornfelder, but they had a lot of unique wines that I’ve never tried before which I really appreciated.

Turned away but an incredibly rude and pretentious host because "we only do reserved tastings. I can allow you to quickly buy a bottle or two but thats all." No where on their website or on any guides does it say reservations are required, never coming back and never recommending this winery.

Wonderful tasting experience. Previous reviews have said that you sacrifice quality view for quality of wine but they have rectified that with the new tasting room. One of the only vineyards we found with a serviceable pet nat. Wonderful service. Would return

Greeted when we walked in; hostess asked if we had reservations……on a Monday. Un-b-knownst to us, we needed a reservation. It was 11:15 am. She said we could return at 1:15 pm. We did not feel a warm, welcoming ‘come back later’ greeting. She said, ‘we cannotaccommodate you, especially with how we are staffed’. This is our first visit to the Finger Lakes, and our first visit to one of the wineries. This was not what we expected for our visit. We moved on. S & F Gross, Central Pennsylvania

Wonderfully delightful visit to Red Tail Ridge winery. The new venue is spectacular and matches the special uniqueness of the wine. What also stands this winery apart is the service. Jenna, our host, was informative and engaging. Definitely a must visit!

We arrived at the winery and put our name in for a tasting, we were skipped a few times. We started a tasting and did not finish because we had no one serving us. And the worst of all, it’s a brand new building with no bathrooms, all guests have to use porta potty’s outside

I have been wine tasting in this area for years the average cost of tastings have gone up to about 10-12$. Randomly stopped at this winery and tasting are 15$ so I looked at the menu to see if it was worth it to me, another worker came over I told him I only really wanted to try the Pinot rose and I see they have a 4$ tasting he said they had that outside and I said oh so I can't order that in here he told me I could and could pick 4 wines... Great! I thought this would be like it used to be when wine tasting just a small sample as I said I really only wanted to try the one. He set them down and said I need to ring you out first over here... My total for 4 small pour as was more than the tasting!! 18$! He said he explained this to me, clearly I didn't understand I asked my partner if that was the impression he got and he didn't understand either.. anyway I left didn't drink or pay wouldn't bother here again...Plus there was a huge amount of construction tiny tasting room with no view... Maybe it'll be better when they actually open.

Quality wines, lovely tasting room with a modern atmosphere. Drawback - restrooms are in a separate building (permits?)

winery was beautiful. outdoor pavilion was enjoyable and the flights were very well explained and organized.however, if you’re set on a tasting, make an appointment. the tasting room says walk-ins are welcome if they have availability. my wife and i stepped in to inquire and a gentleman seemed very put out with us even asking. we probably would’ve moved on to another winery had it not been for another patron who highly recommended we taste some flights outdoors.

Best winery in the region! Bobbi and Kelly both are lovely conversationalists and extremely knowledgeable about the viticulture and history of the winery. Highly recommend the Blanc de Noir and the Bloc 907 Auslese Riesling.

This was the third of four wineries we tried. It sounded like it used the most organic/natural practices of the three. (We had really wanted to go to Bloomer Creek but realized they were open only one day a week.) The setup is not fancy, just a small building for the tasting room, no view or anything. We made an online reservation, and we were the only three there. At first the server was standoffish, but she quickly warmed up and gave us very helpful guidance on which wines to select for our flights. We loved all of the wines we tasted, especially the natural-yeast Riesling. They had some lesser-known German reds that were rich and delicious as well. All of the wines we had were interesting, and we all bought some to take home. Red Tail Ridge is definitely on my repeat-visit list.

Jenn saved the day. She was very knowledgeable and took over when our experience didn't start off well. Jenn treated us as friends of the industry. Would return because of her! Great sparkling wines!

Friendly Wine consultant Shomari, who was knowledgeable about the products. I enjoyed each of his recommendations. The wines were rich, with a great variety of selections of whites, reds and sparkling. He was also able to give food pairing suggestions.

Great wines! I thought Bob's descriptions of the wines during the tasting were both educational and entertaining. A must stop on any Finger Lakes wine tour.

We went to have a tasting and we definitely got more than we paid for. One of the owners was there pouring for us and spoke with us at length about the history of the region, the soil composition and the different types of grapes that grow well in different regions. And don’t get me wrong, he’s not just a talker who won’t shut up. We asked a bunch of questions and he answered all of them in wonderful fashion. He was really nice and welcoming. Oh and the wines taste great, all of them. 10/10 would go back and drink all of their wine.

Made reservation online easily. Tasting room staff were excellent, friendly and informative. Reds better than whites in my opinion but the white wines were good by my standard & I've been tasting wines for decades.

Don't let the group reviews fool you, this place is a one of the FLX best kept secrets. Amazing wines at reasonable prices and friendly staff. We ended up buying the Riesling for the open bar at our wedding. Needless to there were no bottles remaining at the end of the night. Good Karma is also a great wine and a portion of the proceeds are donated to a local food bank.

One of the more enjoyable wineries I've been to a tasting at. Driving to the tasting room you get a nice look at the vineyard and how well its kept. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy. They have a very wide selection for tastings and have some specialty wines available for individual paid tastes. The normal fare of 5$ for 5 wines is also available from the "normal" menu.Everything I tried was good - even the reds are better than most wineries in the area (though not as good as the whites). The tasting room is nice but not particularly fancy.

Outstanding winery in FLX, the best we visited. Gabby did a wonderful job and was very knowledgeable about the different red wines that they produced.Being from Oregon and a lover of Pinot Noir, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their Pinot Noir, which is in the Burgundian style that I prefer.Their German and Italian reds were all excellent and I loved "Rebel with a Cause" which is a blend of Blaufrankisch, Teroldego and Lagrein, three grapes that I wasn't familiar with. Each individually are excellent, but are outstanding when blended together.Left with a bottle of all the wines that I mentioned and will definitely return in 2022 when my daughter graduates from Syracuse in the Spring. Finally, they now have an outdoor pavilion that is open on weekends and takes advantage of the beautiful lake view that they have of Seneca Lake. While I enjoyed our tasting in their quaint tasting room, I found the pavilion to be an excellent option to drink a glass of Lagrein while we enjoyed the view of the lake before our next winery.

One of our favorites in FLX! Very knowledgeable staff who made the experience very nice. Most of the better vineyards have a no limo policy so don't be fooled by their reviews. Roses (Cab Franc and Pinot Noir) were both very good. Great sparkling rose. Rieslings are great too.

Owner Mike questioned our group of 6 girls about where we were staying and questioned if we took a limo there (they don’t allow limos) and we said no we walked (absolute truth). The owner proceeded to ask us three more times and said we weren’t allowed in the one area because they don’t accept groups over 4, so we went to another area where a Kathy (i think) could help us. She ran out asking us (again) if we took a limo. When they finally agreed to take us in, we decided to not give them our money and go elsewhere. Asking a group of six women where they are staying is absolutely unacceptable. Where we were staying is nobody’s business, but I can assure you, it would have taken more time to walk to my car in a store parking lot than it did for me to walk to this winery.
