This thrift store is such a good find!! The prices are incredibly reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the selection is very neatly sorted. I will definitely be back if we are ever in town again. Highly recommend you check this place out!

Great goodies. Vast selection of kitchen goodies, clothing, and vintage glass & porcelain. The collections are great! The children there clearly have reading issues.

Now that we second-hand shoppers can no longer shop at Bath's Salvation Army store which kept that town's economy alive, it's such a blessing that the Once Again Shop in PennYan sells used items. I love recycled items for holidays and year round odds and ends; baking dishes, t-shirts, used books, furniture, paintings, etc. Great place and fun to go there.

This thrift store is overwhelming and not in the good way thrift stores usually are. I went on a random Wednesday and they really should have limited the number of people that came in at once. There was no room to move with so many people and claustrophobic. Not to mention people fighting over items.

I just went here after my Aunt told me it was an excellent second hand shop. There was a blonde lady with short hair who stated “you can’t be here, we don’t allow strollers in the store” after I was in the store. She was very abrupt and short with me. I said I didn’t know and she said “yep there is a sign”. I didn’t see it. I was really taken off guard. The ladies at the cash register said they had never heard that. I will not be returning and I will be telling my family. I’m sure it’s a nice shop: but I’d much rather kids contained in a stroller than running around my establishment any day. My kids were well behaved and contained. I understand every place has rules but you can treat people with respect when conveying them.

Preface: I am 43 years old and this is the first time I have felt compelled to use social media to post a negative review.I saw some adorable Autumn decorations with price tags on them in the display window on a Sunday when this shop was closed. I decided it would be worth the half-hour drive back to the store today to check them out. When I walked in the store, I quickly realized that I couldn't get to the items in the display window. So I waited in a lengthy line of customers at the register to ask how to see those items. It turned out the lady in front of me wanted to do the same. So one of the sales Clerks moved aside the temporary display wall blocking off the area, and I followed her into the area to look at a couple of items. The sales clerk, after impatiently watching me pick up a wall plaque to examine it, proceeded to tell me that it was not their policy to sell items in the display window. I asked why they would have items on display with price stickers on them if they weren't for sale. She replied that they will sometimes sell the items if you know exactly what you want, but I was not allowed to be in the display area. The only way to see the items is to stand outside from the sidewalk and peer into this pretty good sized windowed room. From this distance you can't even read the price tags, let alone get a good idea of what condition the items are in. For example, there was a book that was semi covered by decorations. I couldn't even see the title of the book. And if I could see the title and found it interesting, I would want to pick up the book and read the synopsis on the back cover.I'm not going to purchase something after glancing at it from afar. I am bummed that I took a special half hour trip back here, only to be told that the items weren't for sale, except MAYBE sometimes, if I knew exactly what I wanted without being able to got a close look at it, touch it, or see the price tag. This is a place that you go to buy things. Either items are for sale or they aren't for sale. Maybe for sale is ridiculous! If items aren't for sale, don't display them and don't put price stickers on them. Worst case scenario, put a big sign in the display window that says, "not for sale!" And if they are for sale let the customers see them so they can make an informed decision about whether to purchase them! Isn't the purpose of a display window in a store to place items in a consumers main line of vision to increase the chances of a sale?

employees were rude, one shorter woman in particular was very rude about us having a drink in the store. i completely understand not wanting customers to have food or drink, but the way she approached us and spoke to us was very unnecessary and she could’ve easily gotten her point across in a much nicer, more respectful way. her attitude was awful and i can easily say i will not be coming back.

It's a thrift store that benefits the local churches which is amazing. A lot of the stuff here is old and you may find deals here and there but some of there pricing makes no sense or is over priced. If you love books they're great bargain. Children's books only $0.15!!!

Great selection. Only downside is that the lady checking us out wasn't aware of the sale for the month. So while the lady checking out next to us got the sale on the books, we didn't. Some of the pricing also seemed a little arbitrary/inconsistent...probably based on who priced it when it came in.

I've been going here for years and it's the best it has been. The place has had a huge overhaul. It's been reorganized and newly managed. It's far less cluttered and easier to shop. Plus it's all for a good cause.

They have great deals on clothes and books, and they have lots of options to choose from in every category. However, the store is a bit unorganized and it’s hard to find where clothes of a certain size are.
