We just adopted our dog, Kai, from Shelter of Hope and it was a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and kind and just amazing with the animals. There is so much love given to the shelter pets. You can't miss it. Nate is so amazing with the dogs. And he's a great judge of character. We're only on day 2 with Kai but he has made himself at home with us and is fitting in like a champ! We wish you continued success finding homes for the animals that come your way. They are getting the best possible opportunity for their future when they come to you. Many thanks!!

We've donated to our Humane Society in Yates County in the past. This was our first time adopting from them. The staff was wonderful. Kim showed us all the cats that were available and left us to share time with the kittens we were interested in. Wonderful remodeled facility! We picked out a 2 month old kitten to foster until he could get neutered. Not even a week later, his surgery is now scheduled! The Humane Society provided a week of food, a climbing stand (that someone donated), and a carry box ( though we didn't need it). They are a "no kill" facility. Excited to add a kitten to our family & happy to work with Yates County Humane Society!

Very clean and well kept place. The staff are beyond friendly and you can tell they truly care about the animals. Anytime I stop to drop off donations they are happy to help unload.If you are able and willing there are plenty of furry friends in need of a good home!

Called today because we found a stray cat he’s in good health and 2 years old and the women on the phone was so beyond rude to us for no reason we asked if there was any availability to take a stray cat and instead of just saying “no we don’t sorry” all she said was rehome him yourself then hung up. Staff changes should be considered this is ridiculous for an animal shelter if this was my business I would be so embarrassed these are living creatures that need homes and to have someone so companionless dealing with these animals is disgusting.Will never recommend this place to anyone.

They have some beautiful dogs. That one I'm kind of thinking about getting. She is a little girl about a year old pitbull mix I think. Very sweet! I highly recommend going there if you're looking for a new friend

Last August, we adopted our cat from here. They have always welcomed us to visit animals, to volunteer, or simply to ask questions. The volunteers are supremely friendly and knowledgeable. They all care deeply for the animals living there, and it shows. Each volunteer knows specific things about each animal and their backstory. Please consider volunteering for, donating to, or adopting from HSYC.

The absolute best place, whether you're looking for a new fur-baby, or having to make the heartbreaking decision to give one up. Not only is the place clean and very well run, but the people who work and volunteer are kind, compassionate and truly care about the animals that are temporarily in their care. I cannot say enough good things about them. I've had many pets in my life, and I will go nowhere else.

By far the best humane society I have ever visited. They were already closed for the day but they still let us meet one of their dogs, Abigail. She was a sweetheart and we loved meeting with her and playing with her. Right inside the door is a white board with all of their dogs listed. They took the time to analyze every dog and list their problems that need to be addressed. I have never seen such a high level of care and respect given to an animal. I strongly believe that any animal you adopt from here will be exactly what they tell you it is- this business is no shady, under the table gig. Their main objective isn't to sell as many dogs as possible. They actually care and if you actually care, then this is the place for you.

Love this place they do such a great service to the community by taking in animals and taking care of them and finding them homes. And most importantly they are a no kill sheller. When we lost our cat of 17 years we decided to go here to adopt another cat and we came home with Tigger. For the cost of $100 for the adoption it is really worth it. You get all their vax's up to date, micro chip, small bag of food, membership for a year, and a free wellness visit at the vets. Plus they have discounted or free adoption days throughout the year as well.

What a wonderful experience we had at this shelter. The staff is wonderful, the facility is clean and welcoming, and the adoption process is refreshingly not over-complicated. I highly recommend choosing this shelter if you're looking to adopt a furry friend. We liked it so much we brought home TWO cats!

These guys are great! we have adopted a dog from them years ago. Very friendly staff! we visit a few times a year to visit with the animals. My kids love the cat rooms.

What a joke, finally after months of waiting for help for a stray cat that needs help waiting list BS.. for the so called Cat lady there to say it's her day off and again without help for this cat because after her attitude I'm sure not letting her care for this cat.. Nope I will continue to do the best I can No Thanks to her! And charge me to bring there but only at her say so.. Thanks for nothing!!!! And shame on You Kimmie ... Can't believe your in charge of the cats... To funny!

Adopt two baby kittens a few years ago and they are the best socialized cat I have ever adopted they do wonders with there furry babies. And even with the cost every thing is done fixed, wormed, chipped well worth it
