We were beyond impressed with this hotel! From the moment we checked in, the staff was so friendly and helpful! The rooms were spacious and so clean! Housekeeping was wonderful and even left us a really nice note hoping we were enjoying our stay (thanks, Sue). We are already planning our next trip to Penn Yan and won’t even consider staying anywhere else!

The staff was wonderful! Amenities were very nice and we truly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfy beds. Breakfast had options as well as 24/7 coffee/tea.Walkability: Easy walk to downtown main street, but also located directly by other restaurants and convenience locations.

Wow! This hotel needs an award for excellent customer service! Housekeeping is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Registration of vehicle was required. The Directory Guide was great. Overall, I really enjoyed myself at this location. Room was in need of repairs as wallpaper was buckling in corners. We were given a room with an adjoining room. The adjoining room was very noisy and we could heat clearly their conversation. A lot of hallway noise with kids running up & down the hallway and doors slamming. Breakfast was subpar and coffee machine stopped working.Nearby activities: Near lake frontWalkability: LocaL restaurants

Literally the BEST Western I have ever stayed at! Extremely clean, great breakfast, nice pool and hot tub, spacious rooms, well decorated. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend and will be staying again for sure. We had a little trouble with our in-room jetted bathtub not working after the first five minutes of use, but they graciously agreed to adjust our rate and give us a discount for the trouble without even my asking. We switched to a regular room and they said since I booked the jetted tub room, I could be let into the public hot tub area after hours. I didn’t partake in this, however, but I truly appreciated the thought!! Such nice people!! Even the cleaning staff were friendly and kind in the midst of their busy duties.

Good stay in a decent location for a reasonable price. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to a couple good places to shop or get good food and drinks. Price was very reasonable (at least for my trip, cost seems to jump around). One complaint was that the room wasn't as clean as I'd prefer. There was some garbage on the floors and the carpets were very stained. Room sizes were very nice though, including a good sized sitting area! Overall recommended based on the price and location.Rooms: Rooms weren't as clean as I would prefer. We found some trash on the floor from the previous occupants, and the carpets were very stained. Bed and bathroom were both clean though and that's the most important bit.Walkability: It's an easy walk to the middle of Penn Yan where there are a number of activities, including a couple good places to get food and drinks.Food & drinks: Breakfast was really good for a complimentary Hotel spread. Better than most places, more options.

We just stayed last night. The outside is quaint and there's a grassy area and picnic table with bags for dog duty behind the hotel. There's a working electric vehicle charge station. The lobby is charming, staff are friendly, and the free breakfast was delicious! All of the standard hot and cold faire with a magic touch less pancake machine that my kids loved, a yogurt machine, and juice and hot drinks are complimentary 24/7. The rooms were very clean and nice, and there's a fridge and microwave. It was quiet even though we were across from the pool. The room was clean and beds were comfy. Theres a table, an extra bench, and a nice sitting chair in the room as well. The pool and hot tub were clean, and there's a fitness center too. I think the only downside, and this was a very tiny thing, is how small the bathroom is. That's it! The stay was delightful otherwise. Well done, Best Western!

My experience living at Kew Gardens under the Bernstein Management Corporation has been fantastic. Since I moved here 2 years ago, numerous renovations and upgrades have been made to the building (e.g., lobby, fitness center, coffee station, free printing). Management is also very communicative .This is our favorite place to go on vacation. This hotel is fabulous. The staff is fantastic, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The amenities are great, delicious breakfast, beautiful well kept pool and hot tub. And the best part is that everything, I mean everything is exceptionally clean! Like immaculate! This is the cleanest, nicest, best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The minute you walk in it feels like home, but better! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff who makes it all possible! You are greatly appreciated by our family!

I have been to a lot BW hotels and this one is the best so far. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and quiet. There were an indoor pool and a coffee & juice bar. They even provided a toy and treats to my dog. I am so glad I stayed there.

Our first stay at a Best Western marks also possibly the best experience at a hotel in the last 2-3 years. Especially in the post pandemic era, the property goes far and beyond the expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The room was spacious and had all the amenities provided. The location was good too - safe, quiet and yet very close to food, gas and anything of need (practically walking distance)Special shout out for the breakfast -The best breakfast spread - in terms of variety, cleanliness and taste - in the post pandemic era. When hotels are shying away and giving the packaged cold pick-n-go breakfast, it was very heartening to see a full breakfast while adhering to the health norms. Loved the Pancake maker - that was new!

Great place for visiting the area. It's located at corner intersection in town although some exterior photos they have make it seem like there's a lot of outdoor social space. Staff were super friendly and the place was clean. Nice breakfast options, pancake machine was cool as well as the coffee beverage machine (makes mochas, cappuccino, Americano, etc. Parking is super limited/tight

Upon check in the front office staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I haven't had that much pleasant of a check-in in a long time. We had 2 beagles and requested a room slightly out of the way and near the side door for easy in and out access and we were accommodated. This is a very pet friendly hotel. They don't make you feel uncomfortable for having a pet. The room was immaculate. House keeping does an awesome job keeping the pet friendly rooms clean. The breakfast was great. Hot eggs and bacon and plenty of beverage choices. Hot tub was also a great amenity. Very clean. Hotel is walking distance to restaurants, bars and convenience store. Will absolutely book again this summer.

I've stayed in dozens of Best Westerns throughout the country.This one ranks near the top.The staff is first rate and oh so friendly; especially Marissa and Nigel and Sue.The rooms are generous in size with very comfortable beds.The cleanliness is super. You can ask for clean bedding or towels anytime and receive the service with a smile.Breakfast is decent given the covid situation.Fruit is always fresh and tasty.The proximity to several major roadways to lots of great sites and wineries makes this the perfect location.A tad pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.Will stay here again when in the area.

I find best westerns to be hit or miss.  The Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites is a definite hit.  From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed.  The rooms were clean.  The front desk staff is great and even delivered cookies to our room.  The cleaning staff were genuinely happy to be at work.  The breakfast is one of the better I've had.  Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes and fresh fruit. Another plus is the hotel is pet friendly with a reasonable fee. I gave the hotel 4 stars because the carpet could have used a shampoo and the pool water was murky.

On the + side: Checkin was quick & easy, our room was clean, comfortable and not too noisy. The cleaning staff did a good job too. If you want to consistently score 4 or 5 stars you have to do better than that.Annoyances (See pics): Our bathroom door didn't close. The bathroom sink had VERY slow draining. The shower head was terrible. The coffee packets were IMPOSSIBLE to open. I'm an early riser. I like to have a few cups of coffee in my room before going down for the complementary breakfast (we went out one morning because it was pretty bad) not the best way to get started in the morning. A big minus is VERY inadequate parking available. We would return at @ 11 pm at night & have to drive around the lot several times & finally found the very last slot available.Most of these issues are due to hotel aging & would totally be repairable if they had maintenance look at each room once in a while. If our room was <$100/night, you can overlook a few minor issues but at full price I totally expect better.
