If i could give a 0 i would. But i cant so i gave it a one. The female manager was very rude and demanding. She told us we couldn’t bring our bags into the store with no written rule prior to entering. When confronting her with this information she simply brushed it off as her imaginary rule that we were supposed to know. In conclusion, i will not return to this location and you shouldnt either

The older white woman that works there is unbearable. I stopped coming here because of her. She is always nasty and rude for no reason. She yelled at me for using self checkout saying it is only for people with under 10 item ... I visibly only had 4 items. She yelled at me in front of a line of customers for no apparent reason other than to be rude. Stuff like this happens regularly at this store.

I was sent to the store by my client who is specific about what he wants and where he wants it from. I went into this store for a few items and spent well over 40 minutes searching for my items. I'm sure it's partly because I had to familiarize myself with the store again after not being there for some years, but mostly because the store is very disorganized now. I think because I was a customer service trainer, I notice things instantly. I went there on several occasions throughout my time there and only once was I greeted as I walked in. I thought it was me, so when I came back again, I stood at the door waiting for the cashier to acknowledge me so I could ask a question. On another occasion, I had a good amount of things I needed to purchase. As I approached the register I greeted the cashier with no response and a bland stare on his face, he proceeded to check my items. I asked him to not put my items back on the counter after he bagged them so I could place them in my cart without having to walk around my cart to get my packages. I must not have been clear because he continued to bag my items, remove them from the bag wheel, and place them behind me on the register. The customer who was standing behind my cart looked at me and shook his head in disbelief. DG is always a good convenient go-to store when you're not close to a market and the prices are always great. This store is in a perfect location because there is nothing else on that side of town that compares to it. I believe with some tweaking on the service aspect and reorganizing the store, it could be in the top 10 on that region.

They have the products I want/need at prices I like. The store associates are usually very nice and friendly. However this store is DIRTY. When it first opened and for the first 6-12 months it was good, but not since. The store seems cluttered, the floor never really clean, and the restrooms --one has been our of service for over a year. My advice: not for the faint of heart, but I'd reconnect toy go, get in, and get out. As long as you're focused and quick it can still be a great resource to save money and get what you need.

The store just sucks. the people that work there are morons the stores never stocked with stuff it's always empty on all the shelves it's a complete disaster it looks like a bomb went off everyday I stood at the counter for 20 minutes waiting to be rung up as the cashier was in the aisle talkin to another worker while the whole front was wide open Cash drawers Banks everywhere I mean Place could have easily been robbed and no one would have cared but I think Dollar General as a whole needs to reevaluate Washington Street Dollar General and fire all the people that work there and hire some good working people

Very convenient. They offer a little bit of everything you would need. Young man at cashier was very pleasant. Although it seemed like he was the only one working in the store.The store could be a bit more neat, there were many stacks of inventory on carts to be shelved. I guess that could also be due to the fact that they were understaffed.

For what it is, a place with real value and decent service. Ceramic plates and bowls for $1 - can't beat that. 32 ounce bottles of liquid hand soap, same price. Brand name canned soup, dog treats, dish soap, glass cleaner, .many other items also good values. Lines can build but usually not bad. Staff sometimes scarce, but helpful once tracked down. Good place to get candy.

Staff pointed out sales & helpful getting prices on clothes where no tag. Corporate issue: no price scan machine in store. Had to wait for manager to get gun & took time if serving a customer. My 1st experience.

Great place to shop. You get good quality things for cheap and there has everything you need for your house. Sells clothes , shoes, food, makeup, household items, toys, diy stuff really just about anything is at Dollar General. It's one of my favorite places to shop. Great for stationary for back to school

Always a horrible mess. Manager Daniel is rude to customers. Employees stock inefficiently while register backs up. Badly run. Dirty. Common merchandise frequently sold out. Milk cooler is disgusting. registers frequently crash or are too opaque for staff to figure out simple requests. Max $40 cash back and they charge you for it. Absolutely everything they sell is the cheapest chinese garbage that will prove unsatisfactory in some depressing way. The goods are also mishandled and frequently dirty or broken. Good luck finding anything amidst literal piles of unsorted goods. The customers make a mess here and the employees have an absurd backlog of work backed up all over the sales floor. The back room is nearly always jammed up with the emergency exit blocked. The floor is filthy and in need of repair. Employees are asked to stock merchandise directly from the dirty floor to the shelf while aisles are blocked by awkward, broken freight cartons with metal rods sticking out of them. Nearly everything that goes on the shelf as well as everyone working here is routinely abused in some way. Cheap candy. Open bathrooms.

Actually, zero rating. The employees are lazy. The store is unkept. You can always find merchandise or stick juice or whatever all over the dirty floors so be careful or you will trip. The shelves are messy and you can't find anything.They offer Western Union Service but only a few employees are knowledgeable on how to process this transaction, so forget it!!! they turn you away and tell you that the system is down. Thumbs down!!!!You call the corporate office and someone named Alexas answers the phone as if she just jumped out of the shower. No supervisors are available. Who owns this darn place. Is it a scam business????

There’s a heavyweight girl working there, seemed to not know anything at all. Asked for a certain pack of cigs and she brings me the wrong ones then asked me to point them out, why work in a store if you don’t know anything? On top of that she took forever counting my change and was short in $1 bills so paid me $2 in all coins.

This Morning I was running around looking for eyelash glue. While I was in the second store, I googled the brand to see if it was close. Low and behold it says that you have it in the store, so I make the mad dash to DG on the other side of town. Let's be clear when I walked in the store there was 3 persons up front 2 standing and talking about my lashes and fashion as I passed them. Mind you there was one recognizable employee who was behind the retail counter ringing ppl up.So I get to what looks like the cosmetics wall. This section was very sparse. I didn't see it or many related items so I went back up to ask the young man if they carried the brand I came there for, he says yes over there on the wall. So I go over to the two ladies after one asked if I needed help. She proceeded to explain how the shipment was all boxed up and out on the floor. And said that that guy is the only one here. In other words it was in the store but not out on the floor. She further information me that they would most likely be out by next week. And then. Continued to stand around. That store really needs alot of help.

the reason I am giving zero stars is because the worker there are as disgusting as the place itself my daughter went there with three of her friends. The manager there followed the girls around till they were done shopping. He then continues to yell at them and threatened to kick them out of the store and to never come back. He gave no warnings and just threatened them. I will never go back there again that ma should be fired he harrassed my daughter and her friends while they were shopping.

This store is big but needs improvement. Never enough associates. It wasnt always this way. The shelves arent stocked and when you ask for something it's usually there they just have to find it. Very unorganized. But overall a good store

I spend way too much time there. Love the kinda recent upgrade to the store and love all the workers there. Scott’s the best. It’s like a mini Walmart I love it !!! 😊💯💗

It was my first visit to this Dollar General store. I found it well lighted clean and well stocked. The best part they had what I have been searching for ( Rubbing Alcohol). This has been an on going search, but they had some!!!

It's like a mini market to me. Has a decent selection like any other Super market just not as much of it. But what makes this place good, there prices. They always have nice deals on items.

DG has finally invested in a revamp and product expansion in this store. The refridgeration and freezer section has now tripled. There are many more needed food and grocery offerings, as well a larger variety of well stocked family household needs, personal items, soft goods, seasonal items. Much more in the way of convenience for Peekskill residents.

I Love dollar General. I wish they were more consistent.. I go in there Alll the time.. Its right across the street.. But its messy. The workers seem exhausted and overwhelmed! They need night stockers! But in general I Love it..
