I had a great experience here today. I came in with my daughter who is turning 3 in a few days. She’s been asking for a pet bunny for her birthday and after unsuccessfully checking chain stores in the area, I realized that this place was in our town and only a couple miles from our house. I didn’t know what to expect going in but had a wonderful experience. It’s much bigger of a store than I thought it would be and the staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming of a toddler coming in without a stroller. I held my daughter at first as we acclimated and then put her down when we got to the bunnies. All of the staff members who came by us were smiling and in great spirits with good customer service. Once I told someone we were interested in buying a bunny, a female customer service rep helped me and my daughter by giving us all of the information I need to know about bringing home a bunny and she was incredibly patient in letting my little girl pet the available bunnies and decide which she wanted. She was extremely knowledgeable about the bunnies and their policies and procedures for buying one. We made our deposit at the front desk with another rep who was great. We are so excited to pick up our new bunny in a few days and am so glad to know of this gem right by our house!

Obsessed with this place, bring the whole family, better than a trip to the zoo, and the best part is, most of it is for sale! Employees are so knowledge and kind. Make sure to bring quarters to feed Peep!

I adopted a bunny from here and I cannot recommend this place enough! They have the largest selection of fish I have ever seen at a pet store (including sting rays!), along with a ton of birds, reptiles, small animals, cats, and even chinchillas. As I only adopted a rabbit I can only speak to that process, but I am confident that any adoption experience would be good. For rabbits specifically, they ask to see a picture of your set up/cage to ensure that each animal is going to a proper home. They go over care instructions and have you purchase the first few weeks of food from them, which they make themselves, to make the transition easier on the animal. All of the staff I talked to were super friendly and knowledgeable. They said they get new rabbits every few weeks and typically take deposits ($20 minimum) up to a week in advance so that they can monitor each new animal to make sure it is healthy before sending it to its forever home. They offer nail trimmings at a very reasonable price. They also have such a wide selection of products at very reasonable prices. I don't think there is anything they could have done to make this a better experience. If you are considering adopting any animal, please give this place a try!!!!! (they also have a few pets that live at the store and you may even get to see their cat wandering aorund)

Buyer Beware! Country Critters does NOT stand by their product. I have been a customer for a while. Two weeks ago I bought several fresh water fish and they all died. They could have given me $25 in store credit, but they preferred to loose a customer permanently. They tested my water, and it was perfect!

I purchased five fish from them. Within four days, four were dead. Before I placed them in my aquarium, I tested my PH level. I floated the bag to adjust to the temperature. I tested the water from Country Critters, and the PH level was near 6.0. I then added my water to the water in the bag a few times and then let them free.They have quarantine tanks for new arrivals that are using the same filter system as all the other tanks. This could spread diseases to other fish.I don't recommend this pet shop for any type of fish. I am only rating them on the fish quality.

This store is HUGE. The fish look healthy! They don’t have just fish they have chinchillas, a wallaby, fancy sting rays, all kinds of hamsters, cats, rabbits, beautiful finches, moray eels, all kinds of shrimp. Huge store, huge tanks, clear tanks. I only spent 15 minutes in the store because I came before they closed but it was so great. Will update my review after I actually buy something. LOOK. They even have a duck!

Amazing place, akin to a visit to the aquarium. I try to patronize small business, especially now more than ever. This is a great place with reptiles, tons of fish/marine life, cuddly creatures and even a wallaby who roams the store. Kids love this place! Plenty of supplies in stock, friendly staff

Went to country critters to adopt a bearded dragon and they matched me up with a beautiful girl with the most amazing soul!! Rob who helped me with everything also got a heat lamp off the top shelf for me (I'm short) and got some nice electrolyte soak cause I was out of it. Rob was very patient and very kind as I got to know this girl in the store. Thank you so much rob for the amazing service in the reptile isle!!! I so happy I get to give this girl her forever home during the holidays!!!

Animals aren't in proper cages had a fully grown ball python in a 20 gallon tank with another one! They had a big bird in a 15 gallon tank avoid it at all cost!

This could be a thriving store, but the owner is not a nice guy. I have been in the pet industry for 40 years. The positive is that it's a beautiful store and maintained, Too often understocked and overpriced. I understand how expensive it is to stay open, and that all prices to do so have increased. There are always people looking and not buying, and treating it like a mini zoo and aquarium. The Wallaby shouldn't be there, period. It's not proper treatment for such an exotic animal, and encourages people to keep animals that should NOT be kept as pets. Not a good example of responsible pet ownership. ALSO!!! Selling domestic kittens at crazy prices is disgusting. Please adopt at your local shelter! You will find a wonderful friend there!

I recently discovered Country Critters during my new found interest/hobby of fish and have been building up my beginner aquarium through them. From their wide variety of both fresh and salt water fish, too all of theirs products for them as well; it’s a one-stop shop for all of your aquatic needs! All of the staff that I’ve worked with thus far have not only been friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable as well. They truly show both interest in what they do and car for you and your pets needs. In addition too that; they have a large variety of other animals, reptiles, birds, etc. as well. Also, including all of what you need need for all of them as well. Based upon all of my purchases thus far; I feel that all of their pricing is fair and reasonable. I also just found out that they offer boarding for select animals, reptiles and animals as well. Which is good to know for the future; as I am currently a reptile owner and may potentially become a bird owner as well in the near future. I highly recommend Country Critters for all of your pets needs and suggest anyone/everyone on the island looking for an exotic pet store to try them out! Looking forward too continuing on building my relationship with the store and all of its staff.

This pet store is absolutely wonderful. I bring my Guinea Pigs here regularly to get their nails clipped, and each time, they do an exceptional job. The staff members are incredibly efficient and friendly, providing top-notch service to their customers. What sets this store apart is the presence of numerous pets, not just those available for sale or adoption, but also their own beloved animals. It's heartwarming to see them freely roaming around the store, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.If you're looking to expand your family with a furry friend, please consider visiting this store and giving one a place to call home!

I just bought a Guinea Pig there a few days ago, actually 2 and they're all very nice and helpful there but Carrie and staff was such an amazing help and so sweet so she's getting 50 stars from me. I also buy my dogs food there as well. they're the only ones who carry it. Anyway Carrie and staff made it such a nice experience and were overly pleased. Very knowledgeable as well. Easily my favorite pet supply store. Far more extensive than the name implies, this store always has the necessities for exotic animals as well as cats and dogs. The aquarium section is fantastic - wide selection of healthy corals and other marine animals, and a wonderful freshwater selection too. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and don't try to sell you things you don't really need. Keep an eye out for a friendly duck, cat, or wallaby who may come to greet you!
