We switched to Bellport Animal Hospital with our new puppy Tank. They are wonderful with him and very patient. When he went in for surgery they allowed me to help to not stress the boy which in all the years I have owned animals has never happened. They do care for the well being of your pets and have a wonderful staff.

Dr. Glinka, and staff were very patient with my dog Hazel. She gets very nervous coming in, but we worked as a team to make sure she was comfortable & we can do the exam. After the exam was over, we were able to take the muzzle off of her, and let her relax & she was better! Dr. Glinka was very nice, informative, and didn’t make the appointment feel rushed. The doctor also gave her a treat himself after the appointment which made me very happy, and Hazel happy too. I appreciate you guys for taking care of my girl, and being so welcoming.

We love BAH. The staff is very friendly and professional, and they always remember and take time to greet our pup. The doctors are patient, the visits unrushed, and they take the time to explain everything. They always have our family's interests in mind when offering advice, and steer us away from costly procedures we might not need. The open space outside for the pup to walk before and after her appointment helps keep the stress levels low, and the inside is always immaculately clean. We are very thankful for the team at Bellport Animal Hospital!

Good service. Good vets. We have used them for many years for all my pets(15 plus years). Pricey though and I have multiple animals so at lean times we get updated shots / vaccinations, flea product, and micro chip at other locations that offer lower prices. But we love Bellport Animal Hospital and the staff! (Wish there was a senior or multiple pet discount at least for repeat or long time client's as they are so good..Just an idea😁)

Dr. Kramer and Dr. Cangro are truly amazing doctors. They both take their time with you and your special family member. Although my Miles passed away.. they did everything they could and spent countless hours both in person and over the phone. When my Miles passed.. Dr. Kramer took time out of her very busy stressful schedule to call me for a well check.. for me.. that is. I HIGHLY recommend. This little man will be missed for a life time.. and am so thankful his vets were who his vets were. ♡♡

Always helpful and treats my pet very well. Sometimes they are very busy with many clientele but they do a great job of juggling everything at once. Fare prices for Long Island. They give you the best and worst case scenario and let you choose how you wish to proceed with out any pressure. They treat my 4 legged baby like family. And they never put emphasis on making money.

Bellport Animal Hospital has cared for my dogs and cats for 29 years. They are caring and compassionate and make you feel comfortable. I can't tell you they are overpriced or not as I can't compare them to another practice. Dr's Glinka and Dr. Cangro are my favorites, but you can't go wrong with any doctor there.

Under the auspices of Bellport Animal Hospital, my worst nightmare was realized. My 7 year old Pomeranian Piper died unexpectedly while being treated at their recommended 24/7 medical facility, Atlantic Coast Veterinary Hospital on October 19, 2019. This happened nearly one year after my other dog Dominic died while in the care of the VMCLI.After my disappointing relationship with St. Francis Hospital for Animals in Oakdale, an associate of mine recommended the services of Dr. Glinka at Bellport Animal Hospital. The first thing I relayed to Dr. Glinka was my horrific experience trying to obtain the proper veterinary care for my late dog Dominic. I was explicit with my expectations of Dr. Glinka as Piper’s veterinarian and my need for a veterinarian who practiced progressive treatment and communication. Although Dr. Glinka is an affable, conventional veterinarian, he did not aggressively provide the necessary treatment Piper required given the severity of her collapsing trachea and its complications.I did everything I was told to do by the Bellport veterinarians; I maintained Piper’s twice daily medication as prescribed by Dr. Glinka prior to this last incident. When Piper’s condition became acute, I brought her to Atlantic Coast Veterinary Hospital for an electrocardiogram as indicated by Dr. Medema and I began treatment with the nebulizer. I admitted Piper to a 24/7 veterinary hospital as recommended by Dr. Kramer when Piper stopped eating and didn’t take her oral medication. I was misled by Dr. Medema who said Piper would survive this episode, then learn she had died 72 hours later. I am disappointed that Dr. Glinka did not tell me earlier that Piper would need to go on the nebulizer immediately to help improve her respiratory condition, as well as recommend a respiratory veterinary specialist rather than present it as an option.Apparently, Bellport Animal Hospital is much like many of the common multi-veterinary staffed facilities, it is an HMO type of medical facility without an invested interest in the individual patient. It seems long gone are the exceptional veterinarians who fully involved themselves in their practice and in the personal care of your animal family member.

I have 130 lb dog who deals with anxiety by presenting with aggression until he gets to know you. This office is amazing. They are just as good with my 10 lb dog as they are with 130 lb. I have never dealt with a single person who has not been kind, considerate, and extremely professional

I absolutely love this animal hospital. The front desk is super friendly and accommodating. I’m usually in an exam room within 10 minutes of walking in. The veterinarians never make you feel rushed nor do they ever push you for unnecessary procedures/testing/etc by using fear tactics like a lot of other veterinarians do. Their prices are extremely reasonable too. One of my dogs LOVES coming to this place (my other dog is still a very scared and timid girl, so we can’t really judge by her reaction). He get so excited when we’re walking up to the doors. When your dog is excited to go to the vet, that’s a sign of a great place.

I love this place! They are SO accommodating to my older dog’s anxiety/aggression! They listen….They go above and beyond to make sure she’s comfortable and makes sure to take us right in when they are ready. They never try and push any “extras” on us and are very thorough, compassionate, pleasant, knowledgeable and just amazing! HIGHLY recommend!

They always take such good care of my pup Jackson! The staff are all very sweet and you can tell they are true animal lovers. All of the vets are very thorough, I’m usually picky, especially when it comes to my baby — but I can take an appointment with any vet here and rest assured my pup will receive the same high quality care. They have also gotten us in last minute many times. So happy they are just around the corner!

I’m so disappointed! I loved this hospital until today! I called this morning to try to get my dog in for ear check and they accommodated me with an appointment because they had a cancellation. I was there in time and was taken right in the office . After 20 minutes I poked my head out to see what was taking so long and was told the doctors were on the phone. After another 15 minutes I poked my head out again to ask what was happening?( Now it’s 35 minutes im sitting in the exam room with my poor dog .) Was there an emergency I asked? Was told the dr will explain when they came in.Another 5 minutes brings me to 40 minutes waiting?? Absurd!!I wouldn’t have been so upset if someone would have just came in to apologize and explain. Even ask if I wanted to reschedule. No one even was apologetic!!I said I’m leaving and I got from the desk….” Ok bye! “ No apologies there either. I thought maybe the dr would call me at the end of the day to explain but no call! So disappointing!! And to think I actually thought so highly of this office

We went to Bellport Animal Hospital with our beloved 13 year old Yorkie who was not doing well. Dr Kramer was compassionate and truly kind to our feelings. She did tests on our Kiefer and determined he had cancer. She gave us the time we needed to make the very difficult decision. She talked us through it and we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy. She is truly an amazing doctor and would highly recommend her. I would definitely use Dr Kramer if we decide to get another puppy.

Amazing staff from the front end, to the Vet Techs to the Vets. I have two large dogs I have been bringing here for the last few years since they were pups. My Staffie had bad allergies and they are helping us try what works best to prevent outbreaks.The staff are excellent with both and provide very comprehensive care. Highly recommend!

I write this with a heavy heart as my Luca passed away on Wednesday of this week....Dr. Cangro and the entire Bellport Animal Hospital staff are an amazing and caring group of Vets and Vet Techs. It's really comforting to know that this group of people really care about our Fur Children as if they were their own. They have tremendous bedside manner and compassion for our sick Fur children and should be commended and acknowledged for the level of care and love they provide during these tough times. My wife and I thank you so much for taking care of our Luca....especially being there for Luca this past Wednesday evening. We are grateful and appreciate all of you very much!

Outstanding vet. They have taken care of all my pets over the past few twenty years. The staff is friendly and helpful. The doctors are all empathetic and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Glinka has taken great care of my rabbits. I can call him with my concerns and questions. Everyone there loves animals and it shows.

Tried to make an appointment for my dog due to a growth that is bleeding out. They looked up my dog who was a patient there in the past and they could not find her. So they proceeded to tell me that if she hadn’t been there in 5 years that they delete the records and she is now considered a new patient and due to covid the appointments for new patients are 3 to 4 weeks out. So looked up my records and my dog was there 3 years ago. We may have missed a year to a year and a half “due to covid” most likely. Nothing they could due. They continued to tell me that if it were over 5 years she would not be in the system and i have a receipt showing that she was there along with an old prescription bottle with the same date as the receipt. No denying she was there. Well she was deleted out and there is nothing that they can do. She has to wait a month to be seen. In the past i have used them a few times with my many animals but they will no longer have my business and i will not refer anyone to this establishment. Completely unprofessional!!!

I definitely don't recomend dr. medema. I went to take my dog here for shots and she felt very unprofessional. She didnt even think to put my dog on the examining table. However, instead she had her and her assistant crowd around my dog while he was on the floor then had this stranger assistant who couldnt even give him a treat first before completely wrapping his arms around my dog. Now imagine having any situation where two huge strangers crowd around you, then grab you then try and give you a shot. Let that settle and. Let me know how any normal person would feel in that situation. Now, she says he needs medication for vet visits, she says give to him 3 hours prior for the best results possible. We give him the medicine as instructed by dr. Medema. He was still very hyper and aware(just as he normally is) when dr kramer gave him his shots. However, she asked me to put him on the examining table, and i did and dr. Kramer handled it just perfect and he got not one shot but a few shots and a heartworm test. Dr medema should’ve had him up on the examining table from the start just to make him feel less in danger, also she should've said to give the medication to my dog the morning of the appointment, not just 3 hours before because the medicine finally kicked in after his appointment is all over with. I have him drugged out now for no reason. He can barely stand or walk right now, this is how he shouldve been for the appointment and not an hour and half after the appointment. Just a really horrible and stressful experience. Wish we would have just had dr. kramer from the start. And i will be making sure i only have dr. kramer see my dog from now on if we decide to come back to this vet.

I couldn't thank the staff of this animal hospital enough. They saved my cat's leg and knew my family didn't have a lot of money and did everything they could for as cheap as possible without sacrificing my cat's care. They cared not only for my pet, but about my family's well being as well. They were reassuring and treated my cat like the king we all think he is. Amazing and caring staff.

I've never really had a problem getting an appt for my dog. The doctors and support staff have been first rate! However, I do have a serious problem with the administrative staff! on 5/24 my dog rec'd a sedated xray and it was confirmed that he would need surgery--ok, I'm cool with that. Today is the 3rd day I have called the office manager and left yet another message for her to get back to me so we can begin making arrangements for my dog who hobbles around the house!
