Rio Vista has been helping our fur babies for the last few years since we moved back to this area. They have an amazing staff that truly cares for the animals and goes above and beyond to help and do everything they can for your pet. They take the time to explain everything thoroughly and are very helpful. I am so glad they are close to where we live. Thank you to the staff for all you have done for all of our critters.

Rio Vista is a great vet. They're really great with my cat and my dog. Always friendly and personable, making follow up calls after visits to make sure my pets are feeling better. Their prices are also very fair. I've never felt like I was getting ripped off, and they gave us a price break wherever they could when our dog got very sick and had to make several visits. I highly recommend this vet.

I HAVE to leave a review for this place. Especially Dr.Dugan.I was looking for a new vet for my ferret as he was in critical shape, they got me in VERY quick even being a new patient. The staff is absolutely wonderful, they’re all so helpful, kind, and understanding. I have never felt more comfortable going to a vet in my life. A lot of vets I have been to make you feel bad and very uncomfortable over the smallest things especially payment. They don’t care at all and won’t see you for anything. I had to switch bc of the absolutely horrible service my animals and I have received. I was working hard to make sure I had enough for my appointment so I kept calling asking questions, changing things around, and even tho I paid the whole bill they never once made me feel bad for being so broke, and UNDERSTOOD that I was trying hard for my boy. I’d pay double in the future just to go to them. That’s how wonderful they are.Dr. Dugan is very very comforting, knowledgeable, kind, understanding. You can tell she takes pride in her work. She cares very much about her animals. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars.Dr. Dugan is absolutely amazing I will recommend her to everyone, and I will be taking all my animals there from now on!

My cat was very sick. Dr. Duggan was the best. Unfortunately a week later my cat passed away at home. Dr Duggan is a special person very kind. Loving. And sympathetic.

One of our local stray cats had been hit by a car so we called here and asked to bring her in. I was told they were "at capacity" and refused to help. We found our stray injured at 7:30 am, called here before 8 o'clock and were forced to wait until 11 o'clock for the local SPCA to open. Unfortunately she has to be put to sleep. I was in disbelief over their lack of compassion, especially considering we used to be a client here.

Recently started taking my older dog to the vet for regular checkups, nail trims, grooming etc. They are all very compassionate towards my dog. I like the way they interact with her. She always comes out happy, and looking great. Even during the pandemic they make time and do a great job. Keeping me informed along the way. This vet clinic is the best there is. We have had animals for over 30 years and have dealt with several different clinics. We operate a huge farm and deal with several different species along with our resident cats and dog. They have always been there for us no matter the time or animal. We could not ever ask for a better facility. Very reasonable on pricing and very compassionate.

They are a very compassionate group of professionals. When my beloved dog passed none of the vets in our are were open. I called Rio Vista an they said to bring her up. They met me at the door and directed me were to drive around to. They consoled me and my son and gave us time with our "baby". I highly recommend this wonderful group of professionals. The price was very reasonable too.

Dr. Dodds is just plain awesome!! She has a depth of medical knowledge and she explains things very well and takes time to answer my questions. My Chihuahua has microvascular dysplasia and he needs consults frequently to keep him healthy. The staff is wonderful and they really care about my pet.

We had a great experience at Rio Vista. We just adopted a dog and they were patient and understanding when I communicated that he’s not good with other animals. They provided a caring and thorough exam, and I left feeling better that my guy was taken care of.

For the first time in years, my rat terrier was able to get his rabies shot and nails clipped without being sedated! Duke is very skittish and nippy so I was beyond pleased when Dr. Dodd and her assistant were able to handle him with no one getting hurt. Very pleased with the visit.

Every visit to Rio Vista has been a positive one. Dr. Dodds and her staff are caring and do whatever they can to help your pet. They listen and spend whatever time is needed with you and your furry child. They are a busy hospital so if you are a new client make sure you plan ahead for your first appointment as they may not be able to get you in right away for a routine visit. Keep in mind this is a positive thing - a busy office means they have many clients which means many satisfied pet owners!

Had an emergency with our Guinea Pig. Called and talked with receptionist who was very understanding. Dr.Dodds called me right back. Was able to get right in. Dr. Dodds was able to diagnose the problem quickly. Thank You!!

The vet is a bully and tries to force testing and vaccines that are not always needed, she either loves you (when you're a big spender) or treats you like garbage when you cant be. The receptionist is almost always rude and short. I will never again recommend this practice

Rio Vista is by far the best veterinary hospital. Dr. Dodds and her entire staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable and always pleasant. Even with the extra stress of the COVID-19 requirements, the entire staff remains dedicated and super friendly in caring for all fur-babies and keeping all of us safe. They have been caring for our animals (dogs and cats) for many years, sometimes even working what I would call “miracles”! They treat all of their clients (both human and animal) with total respect. They work together and make a GREAT team of professionals. We are so blessed to have them in our area. Thanks Rio Team for all you do! You are the BEST!

Great Staff they're extremely friendly. Call you with reminders to your appointment and almost always have available time for an appointment. I've taken my cat there 3 times and he hasn't misbehaved once, these veterinarians really know how to keep your pet from having a bad experience at the vet.

I switched to Rio Vista after years with another vet . I regret not switching years ago ! My large, excitable dog is a handful , but she loves the staff and they are exceptional at dealing with her. I have been treated with nothing but respect - which is very important to me. I highly recommend Rio Vista!

I just called to get proces on how much it would be to get my dog fixed. And they said it would be between $470 and $780 and possibly more depending on how long they are under. So I ask" are you saying its going to be around $1000 to spay my dog that about 25lbs" and she said yes. R u kidding me????

This was the first time my dog chief and I visited. They are all very nice, and they price friendly.. They even came out to help when the van battery died, they had jumper cables to help us out even after our appointment.. Thank you

I had to bring my cat demon in for an emergency visit on 6/2/2018 he had a uti that turned into a full blown blockage. Dr Stephanie Dodd and the staff got us in quickly in the long run I made the very hard decision to have him euthanized. Dr Dodd made every effort to try and help demon and for that I am eternally grateful to her. The staff were very compassionate in my time of sadness and the hardest decision any pet owner has to make. I was offered a clay paw print as well which meant a lot to me. The vet tech took great care when wrapping demon up in the fabric bag so I could take him home to bury him. She also cried with me when it came time to euthanize him which shows how incredibly passionate they are about their jobs. Dr Dodd gave me words of encouragement which made me feel better. They also sent me a sympathy card in the mail. So if you want a place to take your pets where they care about them as much as you do then I highly suggest rio vista. The prices are fair and seem to be better then most vets offices in the area. Thank you to the staff at rio vista for helping me with my cat even though he had to be euthanized you made it a little less traumatic.

I switched to RVVH a little more than a year ago. I can't believe how different this place is. My pets are known by name without looking at their file. They are caring and patient at every visit. After I had to put one of my pets to sleep, when I had to bring my other pet in for a visit, they all came out and hugged me and asked if I was ok. I feel like they are truly there for you and your pets. Not just the transaction. I would recommend RVVH to everyone. Hands down!. Love them all :)
