The store itself is okay, and the staff is always very friendly. The prices are wildly high though. I remember being excited when Grand Union bought the location, anticipating a better grocery option in this small town. And sadly it didn't turn out that way. They stock and clean much better than price chopper (like, way nicer). But the mark up on everything isn't worth it, sadly.

Store looks like it has never been renovated, despite a week-long shutdown when they changed over from Tops, and is frequently dirty. They pay their employees minimum wage while selling rotting produce and charging over $4 for a single can of Progresso soup. Absolutely the most outrageous prices I have ever seen at any grocery store across 7 states, with about half the selection of any of the other stores in the area. You would literally get more bang for your buck shopping at the Speedway next door. If this is the only way you can afford to be in business, you can't afford to be in business.

Groceries are priced like it's a destination shopping experience, but it's not. Other than the eye watering grocery prices, it's your average grocery store. Bonus points awarded for NOT having self checkout registers.

The staff there is so friendly and always very helpful! On a couple trips, I had to bring my son with me and he has medical challenges that can make being in that environment hard for him. The staff always went the extra mile to make sure we could get in and out as quickly as possible and were very patient with him.

The produce looks delish and the only person in the entire store to approce me asking if I could use help finding something was the produce manager. He was so kind and made sure I found everything I was looking for and he was very personable and made me feel welcome. You can tell that he knows what he's doing and genuinely cares about his work. It was refressing!

Omg I feel sorry for the locals that have to shop here. Store smelled awful. Deli meats were old and discolored. Subs and in store pizza were old and needed to be thrown away. Prices were extremely high.

I don't feel it was as nice as it was years ago. They were out of a lot of stock; which is due to supply chain issues more than likely. It was clean, staff was very nice and I was greeted by several of them. Sale items were very good as far as price. Their brand "best buy" was very reasonably priced. Maybe they will upgrade the store some more?

Store was clean. Store is well organized. Produce dates --were all good and produce was fresh. Employees are friendly. I was looking for something specific. When I asked for it, employee had no idea if they carried it. The parking lot is large, however it didn't look like anyone had been out to take care of there carts in awhile.

Little bit pricey for my taste however the store has everything you need including a awesome staff of clerk's. I recommend you shop late in the day if possible to avoid crowds. Shelves are always stocked. Good experience

Check the expiration dates on everything you buy. I regularly get home and find that I've accidentally purchased something that's expired, or is expiring in a day or two. The employees here are great and very nice, but I don't trust the quality or freshness of the food.

Always check the dates on food there. Youth and most workers looks miserable not friendly. The guys are okay mostly. I made it my last visit there and going an extra mile to price chopper from now on. If the workers weren't so snobby at grand union. Lastly the prices is insane!

You can't buy anything there unless it's on sale. I shopped at Tops a lot so I was familiar with the pricing. Went there right after the switch to check it out and was really disappointed and walked out never to go back. As an example Tops milk was 2.79 a gallon and Grand Unions was like a dollar more.

I was hooked on their fruit n yogurt parfaits, while they were still Tops. Once they transitioned to GU, I was happy they continued to sell the parfaits. Within a month or two, every time I went in to get my favorite parfait, they were either out-dated, or the yogurt amd the fruit both looked disgusting- they never looked fresh after that and I came back in several times but they were always the same. I wasn't able to buy them anymore, so I stopped going in to GU. I gave it one more shot, last week. There were NO parfaits on the shelf at all. I bought a bowl of fresh berries, instead. Got em home n they were smushed and gross.... No reason to go back there, now.

If you want fresh produce don't go here. Most of it is wilted, gross, or moldy. The prices are high, and usually don't ring up for what it says on the shelf.

Almost $7 for a pack of 4 muffins might be a better deal if they were baked all the way. The mushy, gooey middles can’t be healthy. It has happened several times.

Sooo expensive. Price chopper is expensive too but wow this place is even worse. You're better off making the trip to JC & buying Wegmans quality brand products and saving yourself heaps of money!

I've never been disrespected when asking an employee if they knew if there was any person who could check the stock of an item until now. Way to represent the company.

A decent replacement of what used to be Tops with the resurrected Grand Union name. It reminds me more of the Shur-save family of grocery supermarkets in PA (Rob's, Schneider's, Gerrity's, Hayes Market) which serve its purpose toward a market reach that is rural in nature. Sometimes you can find decent deals, but selection is much more limited than major chains. Give it time.

Prices are out of this world. Best yet brands suck and taste nasty, everything else is so over priced that you can't afford to purchase it.

Our 1st time visiting since the change from Tops to Grand Union. Prices seem to be less than Price Chopper just across town.
