We visited from PA the day of the solar eclipse in April. What a very cool experience. The staff were very friendly and personable. The wine was very good - we had the Cab Franc. The atmosphere is laid back and easygoing. We did not see the eclipse because of clouds but the view of the lake was awesome to see. They are pet friendly. Parking was a stone lot and there was plenty of space. They do tastings but we just jumped into a full bottle. Easy to get to even with eclipse traffic.

First time we visited - really great experience. Early season so not tons of crowds yet. Staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable. The tasting room is brand new, spacious and well laid out. They offer several varietals and several different methods for each. View of the lake is great. When it gets warmer the outdoor seating will be an added bonus. Dog friendly also - we brought ours and was another while we were there.

Six Eighty Cellars was one of many stops during last weekend’s two-day Holiday Shopping Spree. Among the 13 wineries we visited, it was hands down THE BEST experience. Intimate. Friendly. Modern. The minimalist atmosphere is just right, sipping the delicious wines among all the stylish and unique vessels. The best part really was our time with the tasting room manager Jess. She pulled out all the stops to create a fun and personalized visit. Talk about a positive, good vibes kind of person! A must see when visiting the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail!

Hidden gem. Great view, great vines and the service was perfect! Unfortunately forgot the name of that super nice young lady that was flawless giving us all the tastings we want;) They have great complimentary charcuterie board for your tastings. The place is more expensive that the wineries around but that worth it, making a place more isolated of crowds.

This place was amazing. We went to a few other wineries near by, but they don't even compare. The view was gorgeous, the employees friendly and knowledgeable, the wine delicious. The execution of our wine tasting was perfect. The explanation of how their wines are created was terribly interesting. The Sandstone Egg riesling was so delicious I bought 2 bottles, and others in my group bought a few more bottles.I want to say I will try other wineries on my next trip to the FingerLakes, but I'm pretty sure I will need to come back here again.

Super relaxed tasting and by that I mean slower than other tastings in the area. They serve a little platter with the tasting as want you to slowly work your way though their variety of barrel and clay aged wines. You won’t fine any other wine like this because many of them are ages in claylike porous containers. It was a wild tasting experience that put familiar wines somewhere between steel and oak barrels but at the same time entirely on their own page. The servers were very informative and knowledgeable about the vines, growing process, and in which each container the wine was aged in. I don’t normally recommend sitting inside when there is such a lovely view, but it’s worth it when the servers can point out which clay container each wine was aged in and the difference. It was a one of the kind experience out of all four continents I’ve tasted wine in!

We stopped when we were in the area and it’s definitely a different kind of wine experience for several reasons. One is that they use a combination of material and vessel types to process the wines which offers much different and unique finishes than other wineries. These processing methods represent more of the old world/ ancient wine making flavors. Another cool thing here is that they make a wonderful artisan, locally sourced charcuterie/ snack board included in the price of your tasting which is a nice bonus. They were able to accommodate gluten free as well which was also a plus.I will say that their experience is meant to be chill and not rushed. If there is no one there you would need to plan at least an hour to be safe. It was nice to not be rushed but I am a slower eater/ drinker and 45- 60 minutes to enjoy 5 wine samples and a snack board was too long, even for me. Our server would stop by every so often and then we would just be sitting there waiting for quite while until she came back with our next glass. We got a little antsy in between tastes. If you went with a few people and planned for the time you needed and weren’t starving you could treat it like a mini dinner party. Our server was very sweet and friendly but she did not give us a lot of insight about the wine. It would have been nice to know more about them since they do things differently here. I was with my significant other and we were able to try a total of 10 wines which was a treat. Some of them were definitely more off the beaten path and that was fine with us. However, I will mention the server’s expression and comments about some of the choices didn’t set us up with imagery for a great new wine. For example one she said something along the lines of this isn’t what you would just hang out and drink on the couch, it kind of smells like a barn. I totally get what she meant but it wasn’t the best sales pitch of the products and who wants to ingest the aroma of a barn? The Pet- Nat’s were a neat thing to try when you visit. During nice weather there is indoor and outdoor seating.

Reservations recommended!! Lots of people tried to walk in, but it seemed to throw off the flow of the tasting. The charcuterie was delicious. The staff was knowledgeable. The wine making assistant was wonderful and the vineyard view beautiful

They use old methods of making wine, using amphoras and wow they taste good. It was a great experience sitting between all the amphoras and tasting wine while talking to them as they explain you the difference and process of each pot. Definitely recommend it and we will certainly be back.

We had a wonderful experience here! From being greeted at the front door to the knowledge and kindness that the young man showed us (I forget his name). The Charcuterie plate was a plus and five stars all around. My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves and the view is incredible too. We bought a bottle of the Pinot Noir Concrete Diamonds and it was delicious! Thank you for your hospitality! We will be back if we are ever in the area again!

Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were delicious and unique. We loved the 2020 Pinot Noir! Looking forward to seeing the renovated tasting room when it is ready, but the warehouse was really cute with the lights and barrels.

Best views of the lake coupled with friendly and professional service. The wine tasting experience is worth every penny. Includes several wine tastings as well as a charcuterie board with personalized service for tasting. Can’t wait to go back and check out the brand new tasting room that’s set to open up soon! Would 100% recommend making a stop during your Cayuga wine trail experience. Also, check out their sister winery Buttonwood Grove just a few minutes down the road.

My wife and I visited Six Eighty Cellars for the first time last week and were immediately blown away. Their brand new tasting room, deck, and outdoor space is the nicest we've seen in the Finger Lakes, and the view of Seneca Lake is spectacular. The staff, particularly Diana, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us choose the wines we would most enjoy for our tastings, and gave general advice on how to pair food and wines. The charcuterie board included in the tasting was delicious as well.We did not expect to love the wine as most of their offerings are very dry with zero residual sugar, but our tastings were eye opening. Everything we tried was delicious, and we walked out with several bottles of Chardonnays and Roses, varieties we typically do not enjoy. After visiting nearly half of the wineries in the Finger Lakes over the last few years, this is our new favorite. The tastings are pricy, but worth every penny.

680 Cellars offers an upscale experience for those who appreciate the art of winemaking.Upon arrival, you will see that they are currently building a new tasting room. I can only imagine how wonderful the new space will be based on the renderings that are shown in the current tasting room. The wine tasting comes with a charcuterie plate that has been thoughtfully prepared and designed to compliment the wines that you will be sampling.Oleg was our server and explained to us the different vessels that are being used to create the wines that we sampled. We were able to sample wines that were aged in sandstone and clayvar and learn about the differences that these aging processes have on the wines. It's incredible to see how these winemaking choices make wines different. We were absolutely in love with everything that we tried, we joined the wine club and look forward to future releases.

We had a wonderful tasting with Oleg st Six Eighty. He was very informative and friendly regarding the wines which have a more “creative” flair to how they’re made and stored. The tasting menu price is higher than the surrounding wineries but I think it’s worth it given the quality of the wine and the charcuterie board that comes with it. The view of the lake is excellent and there are big lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the view. The inside tasting room also surrounds you with the various stone vessels for you to see yourself how the wines are kept. The carbolic cab franc was stellar and I bought a bottle home. The clay and sandstone Chardonnays were very delicious as well.

This place is amazing. They make unique and delicious wines and the staff is genuinely interested in helping patrons understand what they have to offer. Their prices are higher than some other wineries on Cayuga lake, but you definitely get what you pay for here! They welcome our well-behaved dog, and they also have a wonderful outdoor area for enjoying a glass of wine or two. The winemaker is knowledgeable and friendly and we keep coming back! Please make sure to stop here for a tasting, an event, or just to snag a bottle or two. I can't say enough about this place!!

Wow. Super nice people. I came in after the wine tastings were finished and they went out of their way to prep me a charcuterie board and a glass of wine. I also dropped my glass immediately and they gave me a new one. Amazing place.

I would highly recommend this winery for a tasting or purchases. The wine portfolio is unusually diverse by any standard, but certainly so for the US; it included PetNat wines, a Cabernet Franc that underwent carbonic maceration, and a Vin Doux Naturel (based on Riesling). The winery’s brand-new tasting area overlooks the scenic Cayuga Lake, the service is highly professional, and, at least for now, you won’t face the often distracting hustle and bustle of more fashionable wineries in the region.

Outstanding winery making creative, complex and unique wines! A real gem in the Finger Lakes, and such an incredible example of how ingenuity and craft can bring out such deep character of the grapes. Utterly unlike any other winery in the Finger Lakes, excepting Bloomer Creek (creative and complex but in a different direction!) Highly recommended!!!We had a wonderful experience overall and our host Anna was super knowledgeable.

Anna was a great host and shared a lot of information about 680, the area, as well as other wineries in the area. View was the best one we saw all day along the trail. Bottles and tasting were the most expensive we encountered all day, but the experience and included cheese board was worth it. Looking forward to trying my sandstone pinot after it ages.

It would be a mistake not to go here. Best overall experience. You get a good amount with the tasting cost, including really good charcuterie. They're very successful with trying many different styles.

I never thought we would pay $25 for a guided tasting but partner talked me into it and it was a very interesting and delicious experience. A staff member tells you all about the wine ,which is first rate, while you sit at your own table. A very tasty charcuterie plate with local cheeses and sausage and other tastes. I could go on about the wine which the maker is doing some very interesting things with but I will just say that if you are serious about good wine this is highly recommended. + one of the best lake views I’ve seen.

My husband and I visited Six Eighty Cellars on a quick wine getaway trip to the finger lakes. We came into the place and were greeted so nicely by Katie! She walked us through our tasting experience which was incredible and came with a very delicious charcuterie board for each of us. The atmosphere is super fun and the wine is great! Bought 3 bottles and will certainly go back! Thank you, Katie!!
