Quiet and off the main drive. Small and family owned with cute outdoor tasting area. Excellent flavors! Definitely a place I will return to!

Blackduck Cidery has an authentic, rustic farm feeling as well as a unique selection of dry ciders. I would absolutely recommend you make the stop if you're a cider enthusiast or need a break from the wine trail.

🐝🍎🍏🐝 Most knowledgeable and friendly staff I’ve met! The grounds are beautiful! They now have an apiary so you can buy fresh honey. New amazing flavored vinegars, as well! All delicious!🐝🍎🍏🐝

Not much to look at from the road but the ciders were unique and a nice change of pace from the usual sweet versions. Have some nice merchandise but the tasting area could use a little work, nothing flashy just cleaned up.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Black Duck Cidery. I went with a my family during graduation weekend. The owner was professional and accommodating. The cider was excellent. I generally don't enjoy dry ciders but every one was delicious and the owner did an excellent job describing what gave each ones its unique attributes. Great rustic tasting room and a nice family environment.

The Finger Lakes Region doesn't have enough cider mills in my opinion. This place is very funky but in a good way. Their tasting room is in a shed basically in a pretty remote location. Their woody is hands down my favorite. I don't come here enough and I should because I don't live far from them. Definitely recommend stopping by for a tasting.

Small place, big taste. When we first pulled up, I wasn't sure what to expect as it is a simple & basic tasting room . I was honestly not expecting to like anything - especially as all the ciders were dry. I was very pleasantly surprised. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and made for a great experience. The depth of flavors in the cider were incredible. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Blackduck Cidery is a fantastic place to visit if you enjoy fine ciders. The owner runs a small tasting room and give you an fun educational experience while you enjoy some excellent ciders all of which are made from fruit that he grows on his premises. After the tasting, I had a whole new appreciation for what ciders could be. We left with 5 bottles of various ciders and I know we will be back for more in the future.

Best cider we have had outside of European ciders! We love European ciders, so we loved everything he presented to us. The gent that provided the samples, I believe his name was John, was brilliant! We could have easily stayed and chatted with him for hours about the process, the trees, and other research, but people came in behind us towards the end, so we left. However, we will be back! I see Blackduck becoming a regular visit for us. Thank you for a great time!

We've enjoyed Blackduck Cidery every summer for several years now. The owners knowledge of cider and the story of how the cidery came to fruition is a reason alone to stop by for a visit. They have several types; some dry ciders, some perry's, some still, some sparkling but all delicious and true to the heritage of cidery.(sidra)We'll be visiting soon and hope you're well stocked with bottles to go.

Very small and very intimate in the back of a barn. When tasting it's just you, John, and his cider. There's no music, no AC, and no frills. If you don't like dry cider, it might not be your thing. My buddies and I had a great time and enjoyed the genuine atmosphere and our sampling.

Stopped by their booth at Ithaca AppleFest. The young lady staffing the booth was either too lazy or inexperienced and really should not be a business representative. Instead of opening a new bottle to offer a taste to a potential customer, she advised us to come tomorrow. With so many good choices to get excellent apple cider in our area, what chance is there that I would come back and try their cider next day or nay other day for that matter. Finger Lakes Cider is much friendlier and actually offer people some cider.

This was a great find on our bicycle trip. It's a beautiful setting with warm hospitality. Will definitely return sometime and enjoy more ciders when we have fewer miles ahead of us!

If you are a true cider drinker Black Duck makes some of the best hard ciders around. No sugary ciders made from overseas concentrated juices deluted with water found here. No heavy additions of CO2 to mask the flaws in the juice. No ciders made in two weeks with heavy chemical additions. Just the best locally grown apples go into these ciders. Worth a visit to sample how 'true' cider is made not the stuff on grocery store shelves.

Absolutly loved Blackduck. We snuck into the small tasting barn on a rainy saturday, and were welcomed warmly. We were treated to the best cider I had during my stay in the region, and on top of that learned lots about the process they use to create their ciders. If youre looking for a wine resort to pull your limo up to, this is not the place for you, but if you enjoy honest, friendly, simple locals and delicious cider, I could not recommend blackduck more.

The cidery owner regaled us with stories while serving up unique ciders and a perry. (What's a perry? Glad you asked, because I learned today that it's hard cider, but made with pears instead of apples.) Some products of Black Duck cidery are made from fruits harvested in the wild- it's staggering to think of the work involved. Well worth the $4 tasting fee!

All dry cider, lots of variety. Some carbonated, some not. Variety in the level of dryness. And distinct flavors in each cider. Jon (or John?) Had plenty of information not only on the ciders he makes but the history of cider. Overall a great experience.

The BEST ciders in the finger lakes region. Very small place, great owner who is really into ciders. Had a nice talk with him and learned a lot. Small batches so constantly changing, make sure to stop by.

Very unique ciders that are a cut above most of what is produced in the region. If you were to hit only one cidery around the finger lakes I’d recommend this.

They're not reinventing the wheel, they're just making it better. Some of the best cider I've ever had, plus the folks that run this place are super rad.

Not open when they said they were. Refused to allow us to enter since we were in a limo with 4 people. Sorry for being responsible. Kiss my money goodbye.

Would not allow us in with limo, there were six ladies on a Friday afternoon. Person at entrance was extremely rude and said "I probably should have sign at road saying we don't allow limos or cars over 2 people." Do you think????
