The receptionist and vet were obviously having a bad day as wqs I so that made a bad mix. They sent me a letter they would.not serve me as I became.incensed that they implied I wouldn't show when I have brought 5 animals there in the past. While they are putting the entire blame on me, they take no ownership for their lack of professionalism and care and would rather not have other animals seen and taken care of I received a rude at best letter. The welfare of the animals is last on their mind.. Stay away

Dr. Roeders was our dogs first Vet in Port Jervis and lost touch with her after she moved. Never knew it was to Otisville NY . Found her again when we needed to put our girl down. Such a peaceful setting. Thank you Dr. Roeder.

I drove almost three hours to get my guinea pig neutered here and it was worth every minute. I wanted to ensure that my piggie was seen by someone experienced and also wasn't too expensive- it was $125 for the whole procedure- and it looks amazing. I don't even see the incision and he's acting completely normal, eating, drinking, pooping, etc. I'm super thrilled and grateful ♡

She really knows and cares for all the animals, like Noah,she has a three year waiting list,yet when she heard about how I rescued bunnies and due therapy visits with them,she took me right in and has helped me and the bunnies and at a discount, she is a blessing and helps others

I don't know why this place is labeled as an emergency animal hospital. I am a local real estate agent who found 2 very emaciated kittens left behind in a home where the previous occupants had been evicted. You could literally feel every bone in their body. I took them home for the night tried to give them food and water. I had found out from a relative of that family that the other 2 cats had seen this vet and been placed at an animal sanctuary and so I was told to bring them there to be seen and then the cats could go to the sanctuary. I arrived and there were no other clients in the building. The staff was chatting behind the desk and did not acknowledge me until I made it to the desk. The girl sitting closest to me at what appeared to be a reception desk, oddly, would not make eye contact with me or acknowledge that I was standing in front of her. Weird, but ok. A white haired woman who had her back to me turned around and greeted me. I advised I did not have an appointment but that it was an emergency situation. I had 2 very emaciated cats that I took from a vacant home that needed assistance right away, likely an IV in the least. She asked if I had called the humane society yet and I said no, they need care now and advised that I would pay for it. She then proceeded to tell me there are "procedures in place for situations like this" which I do not doubt however, at this point in time, these cats were in a bad way and they needed immediate medical attention. I started to explain the other family member (who was a client ) told me to bring them and he would pay etc, however I was not counting on that and I would take care of it because they need help now. She said "we don't work like other practices. We are not accepting new patients" All the while this is going on, this woman never stepped foot from around the desk to even take a peek into the pet carrier they were in. She very clearly DID NOT CARE ONE BIT. I picked up the cats and walked out to head to my own vet and mentioned on the way out the door that I would be posting a review. I put them in the car and pulled out of the parking lot at which time as I was pulling on to the street the white haired woman emerged from the front door looked at me then went back inside. I've owned animals my entire life. I have encountered many veterinarians and some may have poor bedside manner or whatever but I've never witnessed such a lack of care or concern in a medical practice. I took them to my vet down the road (Monhagen Veterinary) who was jam packed with clients but graciously took us in no questions asked. They even thanked me for what I was doing, even though no thanks was needed. I would highly recommend taking your pets to see a vet who actually give a hoot about the welfare of animals.

Brought 3 kittens in I rescued to be spay/neutered. Affordable price and great communication. Thought something was wrong with one kitten so they advised me to rush back and Dr Roeder took her time to exam and explain that everything was normal and seemed glad to help and answer any questions!

My husband & I have had our pets taken care of by Dr. Roeder for years & years. She & her team are FANTASTIC! She always is honest, quick treatment wether check-ups or emergencies. She really cares from her heart. She is the most experienced as well as caring Dr. anyone could wish for. She reads animals emotions, keeps up-to-date on treatments and updates her needed supplies, as well. She accepts insurances. This is the best vet I have ever been to! Dr. Roeder is an extremely compassionate person that is also very reasonable priced. They won't even charge for rabies vaccines because she wants to make sure all pets get them. We love this place! And so do the ELEVEN pets of ours.

Dr Roeder is not only brilliant, but sweet, kind, caring and so gentle. She has helped me through the hardest situations and decisions.I believe she has chosen this profession for all the right reasons......she’s for the well being of the pet not for ‘other’ reasons.The staff is priceless, I have never been treated with such kindness in my life. I truly love them all.I’ve been a client for over 20 years and many dogs have been so lucky to be so gently and brilliantly taken care of. Whether it’s for an annual check up, a surgery, and emergency surgery or a devastating illness, she’s there and you know your being well taken care of ...both pet and owner.She even makes the most hardest times so special. The last few seconds of your beloved pets life as they melt in your arms she says in the most sweetest voice “go up and get your wing darling”....it warms my heart that she cares so much.I’m truly blessed to not only have her as my doggie doc but a dear friend as well.There’s an amazingly special glorious place in heaven for such a special person like her.I’m truly blessed to have her in mine and my furry children’s life.❤️

Dr. Roeder's and her staff were phenomenal. I took my mini pig Pumbaa to Dr. Roeder's to be neutered, she and her staff took exceptional care of Pumbaa. They made sure we were aware of the whole process and prepared us for what to expect. They also explained his after care instructions and were happy to answer any questions that I had. They're very friendly and welcoming and I was extremely pleased with the love and care they gave to Pumbaa and I. This made our 2 hour journey to Dr.Roeder's all very much worth it!!Thank you so much Dr. Roeder's and Staff!

She's the best in this whole area!!! I WAS a client of Dr. Roeder for almost 16 years with my 2 dogs, until recently. She has become downright mean and rude with no compassion at all to the point of making me cry, telling me after an appointment with my elderly dog who has hip and leg pain, was a horrible dog and I need to find a new vet for him and she had him since he was a puppy. She yelled at me like I was a misbehaving child all because i called her office to check on the status of my dogs condition. I feel she may be overwhelmed with too much clientele but that doesn’t give her the right the speak to people who pay a great deal of money for her services. I would not recommend her to anyone after the way she treated my dog and myself.

Best vet ever!!!! It's never a hassle to get an appointment, the staff is friendly, the vet tech is outstanding! Reasonably priced and Dr. Roeder is amazing. Dr. Roeder is patient, is incredibly helpful and understanding. She really cares about the animals. I am so grateful to be able to put my animals in the care of her hands whenever I have a concern. I know they will be well taken care of and Dr. Roeder will go above and beyond to see them through whatever issue is going on.
