Edited review: previously reviewed at 5 stars in 2022, lowered based on this experience as well as multiple previous experiences with poor customer service:Found an item at TJ Maxx with a $1.29 tag, but was told at checkout it was supposed to be $12.99 due to a misprint. Cashier refused to honor the marked price. Disappointing experience.

Had the wonderful pleasure of dealing with one of the grumpiest cashiers ever. Didn’t greet us as we placed our items down, she was clearly in a bad mood. She started aggressively scanning my items huffing and puffing and then smacked the receipt down on the table while I had my hand out waiting for it. Happy holidays to you too..

The store is well organized and it's very easy to find the specific products I am looking for and some extras along the way. My problem is that I always have to wait in a long line to check out. The whole check out process just feels so slow and could definitely be better for the customers. Very nice place as long as you are not in a rush.

I am never disappointed at TJ Max. My biggest concern is that they might close someday. This town is a Walmart kinda town.

This store has an attitude problem. The clerks and a good majority of the staff don’t have the common human decency you’d expect at a store let alone the real world. Perhaps if the employees were trained properly to assist customers and to be kind to each other then maybe people would be happy to shop here. The general vibe is one of misery and it shows. Step it up TJ Maxx Oswego, then maybe your employees would want to stay.

The shopping experience was great until we went to the cashier and she thought it was appropriate to judge us by what we were purchasing. Very inappropriate for her to voice her opinion of our purchase to us or even out loud.

I've never before seen a TJ Maxx with such organized kitchen aisles. I was super surprised by this because I've been to many TJ Maxx around the country and this was the first one that was so neat and tidy.

I like to shop here for name brands at lower prices. They almost always have socks and or underwear on sale. Can find some cool, weird food or household items here too.

Love tj max and a loyal customer but I am disappointed they would not discount this dirty item and unfortunately it was the only size left. For a total of $43.19 I’d think they’d at least clean it off before putting on display or give discount on dirty/used item. Always had a good experience besides this.

Cashier was terribly impersonal. Can they offer to put your things in a bag or put them into the bag that you purchased from their store? Not sure if it's policy but she didn't ask and I was rushing to put my cards back into my wallet to put my stuff in the bag before the next person was coming. Everything else was okay.

I love TJ Maxx for shopping, however, The back of this building, exposed from all angles on a very busy road, is a mess of trash. It would not take much to clean the hedgerow from trash. It is a real eyesore and embarrassing to our community.

TJ Maxx is a very dangerous store for me and my family to enter. It seems we can't get out of there without spending around $100. There is a large variety of items here and lots of cute outfits, furniture, and cooking tools. Great store.

Stores like TJ MAXX and Marshall’s used to follow a business model of providing off-price designer goods. High end clothing would fill the racks with many styles limited to just a few pieces. Now, designer labels are making their own cheap knock-offs to supply these stores. Sure, you’ll find that occasional super deal, but for the most part the selection is somewhat disappointing. They have become a true department store, with housewares, beauty aids and a home section. Even electronic accessories take up a whole wall. I used to hit Marshall’s once a week (20 years ago) and always come away with a real find. Now, once a month if that. Start with the clearance rack and work your way up. Be patient, and set aside some time to dig. You might find that treasure.

90% of the store is women and girls then they stuff guys and boys stuff on 5 racks in the corner. Then top it off with nothing worth my time on those 5 little racks. Worse store ever!

It's okay, frustrating they don't have a whole lot in Stock of my daughters sizes Witch is 8-10 children's, also If your like me and like to buy full outfits for your kids rather then buying pants and shirts separate (annoying) they don't really Carry for bigger sizes but if you have a child who wears 3t-6x your in luck they have a pretty big variety of those sizes and full outfits ! But they do have decent brands (just check really good u can tell sometimes they get clothing from great brands like American eagle and guess and Bebe but some of them u can tell were made wrong or size ing is really weired ect. Like clothes they accidently messed up so instead of selling in there stores they send to tj Maxx and Burlington that sort of thing) And pretty good prices and deals !. Also have a great purse/bag selection! They are discounted fairly well considering some of the prices of some of them ! But still a little costly for my budget!
