What a great stop on the way to Orient Point! The Orient Country Store is vintage but still has the necessities you need so you don't have to go to the local (and further) IGA or King Kullen. Also the baking here is really good. We stopped in one morning on our way to Orient Point and enjoyed breakfast bagel sandwiches in bagels fresh from the oven. Risky worth the wait. The crust was good and the crumb was dense and chewy the way a good New York bagel is supposed to be and not pillowy and doughy. Also as many others have pointed out, you can't leave without an oatmeal cookie! Def with the stop!

Such an awesome little store! The food is cooked to order and they had some of the BEST sandwiches we’d ever had. The staff is super fun and friendly as well. Homemade ice cream was delicious. Must see!

We didn’t want to deal with crowded restaurants so we’re tried the Orient Country Store. The sandwiches were delicious and the staff friendly!

We stumbled upon the Orient Country Store and were completely blown away by their customer service and hospitality. The sandwiches are all freshly made to order and they have a load of home made sweets and treats. We were assisted by the owners parents and they were the sweetest couple. It was such a memorable experience in quaint small town America. If you find yourself in Orient you have to stop in and ask them about the history of this place, it will blow you away.

This place was amazing. The owners were so friendly and the banana bread was tasty. The oatmeal cookie sans raisins (yay) was the best I've ever had. We only saw this place on our way OUT of town. So bummed...I would have loved to try the sandwiches. Next time!

Mom and Pop shop run by Miriam and Grayson. Wow they do a spectacular job. Sandwiches are exceptional: I particularly like the mushroom one. Baked goods even better: my highlights are coconut macaroons and blueberry muffins - but honestly the rule is if they bake it, it’s going to be delicious!

Delightful old country store that locals can come to for breakfast or lunch as well as pick up some necessities like can goods and paper products. I purchased an Orient baseball cap. Souvenirs and some books are on hand. True community store, collecting items for CAST a charitable organization. I had breakfast one morning, nothing special just egg and cheese on toast. Felt old fashioned and just right for that morning. I come often into Orient but live in Riverhead.

Unbelievably fantastic baked goods, sandwiches, soups. Charming store full of character and fun things to look at. Our family had our aunt convention there on 2/5/23 and it was perfect. Sitting at the table at the front of the store is the perfect spot to take a break from your bike ride, run, walk, hike, car ride. Don't think twice - just go and go hungry.

On my way to the ferry, I wanted something other than what Cross Town Ferry has to offer and I didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices at the local Orient restaurants. With nothing more to go on than my cell phone, I found this store/deli. It's right off the main drag not far from the docks. The best "meal" I had on the island all weekend was the pulled pork sandwich I ordered here. When I ordered the sandwich the kitchen was closed. I did not know this. The nice woman at the counter put the order in and told me later. So good food, pleasant owners, close to ferry . . rates the five stars above plus!

I wish I can give this place more than 5 stars! Our first time visiting this hidden gem in Orient Point & definitely won’t be the last! Their Thai Basil Chicken sandwich is to die for, we can’t wait to go back! Miriam is amazing!

What could be better than a cup of hot Chicken Noodle soup after a bone chilling ride on the Long Island ferry. I wasn't sure at first about ordering it as I'm no fan of chicken noodle soup but figured at least it would warm me up. Much to my surprise it was as good or better than my mom's.

A lovely spot. It's like a movie set, everything and everyone is straight out of central casting. The food is great, the baked goods are delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. They don't have everything, but there's almost always a suitable substitute. Or maybe just get something else.P.S. Don't buy the last piece of Apple Walnut Cake, that one's mine. Seriously, leave it

We took the 7:30 ferry from New London to Orient Point. We were looking for a place to eat breakfast and asked a workman if there was a good place nearby. He recommended the Orient Point Country Store. It is a unique little old building with a great business in it. We had fresh made breakfast sandwiches that were excellent. Also tried their zucchini bread, also very good. Looking at their blackboard menu, we noticed they listed fresh corn chowder. We ordered some to go, and had it later in the day. It was excellent. We live in Maryland, but every time we are in the area we will return. Great people, great food!

Love the Orient Country Store!!! Miriam's baked goods are other worldly. The egg sandwiches are unforgettable. But my all time favorite is the curried chicken salad. It's my go to lunch that always brings a smile to my tummy. This store is a neighborhood gem filled with old world goodness and friendly people.

A friendly, flavorful place with a true country feel. Don't miss Miriam's always fresh and delicious baked goods. She's as warm as they are. The sandwiches are also fantastic. While you're in Orient take a stroll thru town and travel back in time...

A hidden gem in the far east. Whether you are winery hopping, on your way to the ferry, or headed to Orient state park you owe it to yourself to stop in at the Orient Country Store. It is nestled in the quaint Village of Orient, way out, on the north fork of Long Island. It's owners Miriam and Grayson provide amazing food in addition to various sundries you may need for your day at the beach. I highly recommend the house made pastrami reuben with red cabbage slaw! Out of this world. And if you don't try the baked goods you are missing out. The crispy oatmeal cookies with sea salt are amazing. I have never had a bad meal. This is a truly special place.

I defy you to find a more charming ambiance combined with some serious comfort food.Miriam & Grayson are the jewels in a crown of herbs, spices and local berries, and Miriam is an all-pro baker & chef.It is a well-know secret among foodies on the North Fork, but success has not spoiled their enthusiasm and dedication. No white tablecloths and shining silverware here...take it out and enjoy the fruits (literally) of their labor.

Step inside, look around, fall to the ground and pray they don't change a single thing about this wondrously charming, genuinely unique, old-time family general store.Order anything you choose from the ever-changing menu because everything is well thought out, prepared with good ingredients and never fails to embrace the pallet.Do not, repeat, do not taste Miriam's pies as you will be house hunting in the area just to be near the store.

I bought a chocolate milk, an pint of oj, a loaf of bread and an Orient sticker. It was over $12.00!! The baked goods looked really nice but I was afraid to ask. This store caters only to people making at least 6 figures. Nice enough owners but I won’t be back.
