Wanted to start up my aquarium again. Went in to look at fish and see what we wanted to get. Explained I just got tank going. They advised me to wait 2 days and to buy a piece of drift wood to get tank going. Went back few days later and bought fish. It's been a few weeks and everything is going great! Great customer service and advice!

Well kept tanks, happy fish, positive, friendly service, and an extra item added to my purchase free of charge. I had a horrible experience. I brought my kids in last Monday to buy specific fish, they didn’t have anything on my list so I paid $100 for 2 grown Oscars. I called them back Wednesday and Friday because the fish weren’t eating they kept giving me excuses, it will be fine fish don’t have to eat for 3 weeks like I’m a novice. 8 days after my purchase date I returned the item , the owner stayed in the back of the store . I picked up three $6 fish and a bottle of Dechlor still supporting his business. He tried to tell the sales agent to just give me the stuff and call it even. When I said no I paid $100 for the fish the owner came from the back complaining and threw the money on the table . I gave him a $50 bill for the stuff I was trying to buy and picked up some fish food cost $21 and he had the nerve to say without ringing up ( which the sales agent was attempting to do ) my previous order.The customer service at this store is terrible, I should of just went to The Fish Place I would of never had these issues.Below is of what I was charged $76 for .

Healthy frogs, fish, and more! This is a top notch place. Love the fish they provide. Salt water selection is outstanding. The freshwater is also very well stocked. They have all your needs along with knowledge, so go give them a try 100% of the time over any chain in the area. You’ll be pleased you did!

I have a 100 gallon fish tank with Angel fish in it for like 2 years now and thought of giving this place a chance. I came there one day and was not even greeted or asked if I needed any help. I then came back another day and purchased 4 angels from this place. I paid $15 a piece for 3 and $30 for a black one. I have had them for approximately 2.5 weeks and they have all died and has caused havoc on my tank and my other angels that were there are now dying as well and/or are stressed out. This was the WORST experience and I’m not happy that I am losing all my fish. I will never come back to this place. I will stick with THE FIAH PLACE in Tonawanda.

Really easygoing and knowledgeable owner. They have a great selection of live plants and fish as well as top brands of filters. It was difficult to find Cattapa leaves for my new betta but these guys had them in stock so I picked up 2 packages. He even threw in a long sheet of aquarium wallpaper for my size tank for no charge when I told him about my Betta flaring at his reflection all the time! What a guy 😊.

Update: Still feel the same way. Great fish selection, prices, and customer service. Definitely recommend :)Still love this place, it's definitely my "go to" fish store. Love the selection of fish. Has some very unique fish too ! Very nice place. Very friendly. Prices are good. Salt Water and Fresh Water fish. Answered all my questions and added some new fish to my aquarium. Great selection of saltwater and freshwater fish. Their discus' are enormous and look so healthy and gorgeous. All their prices are clearly labeled as well.

The staff said hello but didn't pay much more attention to us. It seemed they did not want us there. After 15-20 minutes again they said from behind the counter if we needed anything. They never came out from behind the desk and just spoke from there. I was interested in any knowledge they would have about starting a tank but they didn't really engage me or my kids. Would not do business with them.

Go here and stay out of the big box store. Saved the life of my African Butterfly Fish with knowledge. Buy here, Order here, learn here. Salt water knowledge is top notch at well. I am a regular customer and this is a real review.

Recently decided to setup a 40 gallon aquarium. (Not my first rodeo just have not done a large tank in a few years) Still have a few smaller tanks.Brought in a water sample. Was told everything is good. Purchased 5 fish. 2 tetras 2 Cory cats and a pleco. The pleco got kind of shaken up a bit trying to get it into the bag but I figured it would be fine.Get them all home and eventually into the tank. The 4 other fish are doing fine, even today. The pleco started turning red almost like it had internal bleeding or something. Was dead about a day later.We called after the weekend to explain and see if we could just get a new one. After all the owner told us about how he works with people and even swapped one out 6 months later for someone.Person on the phone was rude to put it lightly. First said we would need to bring a water sample. Told him no problem but you guys did test it and said it was fine. Then started blaming us saying we must of done something all theirs are fine. (Even though the other 4 fish are all fine) nice store but customer service could use some work. Planned to come back and spend plenty more. But if it's like this over a cheap fish. I can't imagine how it is with some of the more expensive fish. Won't be back.

Both the owner and employees know exactly what they're talking about and know how to guide you in the right direction about what to buy or tank problems you could be experiencing. In addition, I've always spoken to the owner and never once got the impression he was simply just trying to make money. They really care for the customers and seem to really enjoy what they do and aren't just trying to make a "pretty penny". I highly recommend this store as it has quite a large and diverse selection, there always seems to be tons of new stuff every time I come and the customer service is great here.

This was the only place I could find close to Angola that sold saltwater fish. My 5 year old is obsessed with fishing, and he got a huge kick out of the enormous red tailed catfish they had in the store! My favorite was the little bitty clown fish!

This is my go to place for anything for my fresh water aquarium. Fish are always healthy + well cared for. Also have great variety of salt water fish, coral + anything else you're looking for. Fun to just wander around looking in all the beautiful tanks. Owner, Pete, is terrific. Very knowledgeable, helpful + pleasant. I always learn something new when I go there. Highly recommend to everyone!!

Good selection for freshwater, plants always look healthy, fair prices. Seem to have a larger marine selection, numerous frags and fish, then freshwater. Service is always great from the owner or workers. The fish store has a bigger selection but coral sea is much closer, best place I've found in South towns.

Nice and helpful staff. Not a large selection and ill fish in tanks, didn't feel comfortable purchasing fish. When compared to "The Fish Place" in Tonawanda or "Pets Plus" in Lockport, well there is no comparison. Both stores in the northtowns blow this place out of the water in regards to selection availability and quality of fish/fish conditions.

Have been there almost weekly while setting up a new tank, and every time there is someone doing rounds tending to the tanks. Sure, there's plenty there to amuse an expert aquarist, but what matters to me is how helpful (and not condescending!) the staff is to a novice like me.

Best fish store in the around. The owner (whos name i forgot at the moment) walked around the store with me making sure i got exactly what i needed. He helped me plan and figure out my first salt water tank, and made it very simple to understand. The stores livestock and corals are absolutely stunning and his fish are very healthy. His prices are fair and the customer service is outstanding. My girlfriend and i will never shop anywere else. Support yr local fish store and stop by. I promise, you wont regret it.
