Always good customer service. Can we consider a better service for the firewood purchasing process? They occupy a lot of space in the cart and its annoying to bring it from outside to inside to just then bring it back outside. Please fix.

This is one of the best Stop& Shop locations that I've been to. It's huge and a big variety of all kinds of foods and goods. I wish there was one closer to me like this

I only come here in an emergency because it's very close to my home. But I usually go to the Shoprite in Northvale for better prices and a larger selection. The ground beef here is very "tough" Prices are very expensive.

I used to shop more often at this store and now I know why it's never crowded.The cashier today was so rude it was almost comical.Its not even worth getting into the details.This is not the first time i have encountered rudeness and attitude from the cashiers.They used to be pleasant.What happened? The prices are higher than anywhere else,there is never any management around and you never see the same cashiers.They obviously can't keep their staff.Not that it matters if this same obnoxious cashier lasts because i will NEVER shop there again.Shoprite in Nyack may be more crowded,but at least they smile and go out of their way to help you every time.There is always someone there opening up a line even in the self pay and guiding you thru it.Management at Stop and shop( if it exists) need to take a trip to Shop rite to see how its done.Disgraceful.

At the Stop and Shop in Orangeburg, NY. I had a very odd and negative experience. The customer service desk person, named Clarance, sort of scalded and repremanded me for not magically knowing how to close out of their scanner system. He gave me a directive, as if I am someone who works for him. I am a paying customer. Why couldn't he just take the scanner and close it out without complaining to me about how I am inconveniencing him? Those scanners are there for the customers to use. If its such a problem, why have them there in the first place? I kept calm and composed and diplomatic and tolorated his rudeness. He should have been the professonal one.

Not sure what happened with this store…there’s barely any produce, when there is it is it’s usually hit or miss. The seafood section smells SO FISHY when it is NOT supposed to smell that putrid. It is also impossible to find chicken. I understand supply and demand issues but shop rite in northvale isn’t having this issue.Tonight we picked up this charcuterie board which was expired. The salami was grey.. we went back to return it to get another one and ALL of them were expired and grey. When we told the produce associate that the rest of the trays were expired (they were in the produce section by the kombucha) she said “give it to the deli, it isn’t my problem” I was absolutely BAFFLED. We have sadly come to the conclusion we are no longer shopping here. So unfortunate.

The store itself is very nice. Nice sized store, plenty of products, even nice selection of "natural" products. However, we were there early on a Sunday and there weren't a lot of customers, but there wasn't anyone at the customer service desk.

Hopefully people have a more positive experience with them moving forward!Original: 2 stars. My first time at the store, initially impressed by how big and spacious and clean it was, despite the parking lot being fairly empty. The weekly flyer said lobsters were $9.99/lb starting today. We went to the seafood department, and there was nobody there. Asked an employee who had the store page for assistance. Person who showed up was really grumpy when I asked about the price, because the posted sign read $16.99/lb. He interrupted me and said "I'm the wrong guy to talk about prices - you'd have to talk to the manager but she's on break for the next 15 minutes." So I went to customer service to see if they had a copy of the weekly flyer. While they were friendly, they were also unhelpful. They said the sale price should be valid but if the signage is wrong in the seafood department, only the seafood department manager can change it and change the pricing programmed in the scale. I said if it rings up incorrectly, can't you adjust it at customer service? They said no. It has to be the manager who changes it on the scale in the seafood department. We went back and waited over 15 minutes and other employees kept coming by to check if we needed help, which we appreciated. Kudos to their efforts. When the meat/seafood manager finally showed up, she was not helpful either, just said "what do you want." We told her the story and she had zero reaction. We then asked for 2 specific lobsters and she said she couldn't give us one of them because she was afraid it might bite her because the claw rubber band had fallen off. I asked, can't you put another one? She said no. I reminded her we had waited over 30 minutes and that was a specific lobster we wanted and still she said no and gave us a different one. What kind of a seafood manager thinks a lobster is going to bite her if she holds the lobster from its back? The price was correctly programmed in the scale after all, which the first guy could have checked before just brushing us off. All in all, it was a very long and disappointing experience. Sticking with ShopRite.

Awful service, only one register open that can take the can deposit slips at 4pm on a Friday. If you are going to force everyone to use self-checkout at least make it so everyone can use self-checkout. Update: Now the owner wants to waste more of my time telling him how to do his job, labor's time is always free when dealing with a capitalist.

Nice clean store but not much help from customer service. This morning 9/12/20 …. The bottle redemption machine didn't accept my items. I took them to customer service and asked for a refund. The spring water was purchased in this store and I was charged a nickel on each bottle. The C.S. person refused.? We don't give refunds on bottles she said. I explained the machines outside didn't accept them …... She told us ….I cant help you, the item is NOT in our system. The same customer service refused to play a lotto ticket for me a few months ago. The person said We don't have time for lotto. I could not believe it. Maybe I should let NEW STATE know about this. They take your money but don't give refunds. Again nice clean store but poor customer service. Maybe I will shop else where.

Store is big, clean and convenient. Never really crowded. A little pricier than other supermarkets nearby, especially produce and essential items. The self-checkout always has problems. This is a good place to go for a quick fill in for something needed, but not for major shopping.

This place is clean inside and I like to use the self checkout. During the pandemic, only the left side doors are open for entering and exiting. Their fried chicken and rotisserie chicken is the best. Very moist and flavorful. Their fried chicken is just as good or even better than KFC. The rotisserie chicken is better than ShopRite up the street. Their glazed donuts are also very good. They used to have a really good chocolate mousse cake but they don’t supply it anymore. I took one star off because the ice cream is sometimes defrosted and old. Specifically, I bought Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and it was so freezer burned, I had to throw it out. Stop and shop brand ice cream is good though. Also, their sushi isn’t great either. The parking lot can be a little dangerous with the first aisle of parking near the entrance because there’s a blind spot so be careful when exiting from the first aisle of parking spots. Overall, I prefer to shop from this location due to it being convenient and the self checkout is hardly ever too busy.

Seems they haven't stocked shelves since pandemic. Fresh bread is tasteless no meat at butcher counter. Used to be an ok store has deteriorated drastically. Needs new management.

I can get in and out very quickly and it's 7 minutes away from home, so very convenient. If you're looking for breads, rolls etc. try the discount area at the back of the store.

Great experience! The store was clean. The staff was helpful. Checkout was easy. The staff keeps the isles, mostly, clear. I didn't have a hard time finding things. Good sales. Parking was easy.

Clean well organized store. Good selection and easy to navigate through aisles. Helpful and courteous staff. Ample parking. The only negative I have is that it is slightly overpriced on staple items.

This Stop & Shop is generally well stocked. It can be quiet during the week but weekends have gotten busy. They have a nice a amount of self check out lanes.

As a former employee, as well as an avid shopper for 18 plus years, I’ve always had a positive experience until today. I’ve met many colleagues as well as friends working/not working at either new city, Nanuet, and at times orangeburg when I’m on break from work (I work less than five minutes away). I recently visited an old friend in which we got caught up in conversation while he was still focusing and executing his job duties at the same time. Though I did not have a cart on me, it did not mean I was not going to purchase an item. I was essentially told to leave from Andrew Cafaro who I believe is the store manager. He could’ve handled it in many different ways. He could’ve introduced himself, he could’ve interjected and inquired as to why I seemed to be at one part of the store for a period of time, he could’ve even approached me and said I noticed you were here for a while may I help you. He provided everything but customer service and was not even courteous enough to approach me himself. Maybe this was an aberration, or maybe this is the way he interacts with customers by not interacting, either way it was unprofessional. As a former employee I could only hope he doesn’t have an environment of disinterest, fear, and humiliation. I could not help but notice that we differ in height, weight, skin color, and culture and hope that was not the basis of his lack of interaction. I have no ill will or personal feelings as I will continue to shop at stop shop, but hope his attitude, approach, and environment is more welcoming to not just me but future customers and employees.

I didn't know this store existed until my sister's friend referred me to work there . I applied today they called me the next day for interview and started working the next day again. I applied for cashier but they put me in the deli department which I didn't like because of the cleaning cooking and the coolness but I enjoyed every single day I went to work .Great coworkers, management,very clean ,discipline. I just never showed up for work after I got pregnant I was so embarrassed with the spitting and vomiting, I felt so dizzy all the time I couldn't stand up for long. ..... I 100%recommend this place to people to work and shop.

Clean store, easy to find your way around the store. Used the self check out did not have any interest in with any staff on my shopping trip. Onky down fall for not giving five stars is they are in the middle of construction and part of the entrances were blocked by caution tape

You guys never have anyone at the registers every time I come to this store! I don’t work at stop and shop and I detest this location’s emphasis on self check out -please hire more staff. If you’re gonna always make me do self checkout then I should get an employee discount.

Great Supermarket, most locations are very large and some include a bank inside. Large selection of products, often carrying an item that other supermarkets do not stock.Only con I've experienced, at the locations near me, is the hit food bar is a tad lack luster.

Really nice grocery shop, fresh groceries, nice staff. Only have one complaint; why is the hot chicken wings super salty? I bought it about 3 or 4 times within the last year including today. Just way too salty! :(

Store is good but customer service is horrible. Non of the associates have the desire to go above and beyond to help resolve the issue. I guess going above and beyond is too much to expect. Staff is not even doing bare minimum.Please do yourself a favour and shop somewhere else. I wish I had a choice not to pick any star.
