We shop here on a regular basis. Convenient as we live close by. Very friendly & helpful staff. If you run out of something we need we always ask for a dept. manager who assures us that they will handle our issue. Appreciate the Pharmacy esp. Brandon! Great customer service!!

I ordered a cake for my son 1st birthday party. The design that I asked needed something that they did not have at tops. So I asked them to surprise me with a design and the decorator make my jaw drop when I saw this cake it was sooooo beautiful and she gives me the colors that I asked for. It was very nice. Everyone was asking where did I order the cake.

My daughter and hubby love their birthday cake. It was delicious and so beautiful everyone wanted to know where I got the cake from.They always do their best. They will make you happy. My twins' baby shower cake was on fire, my guesses were "Wow where did you order this cake from." Well, it is always Tops.

I didn't know this could happen but I found expired water in one of my tops water cases. Without knowing I drinked it and it tasted and smelled like expired milk. I also noticed this green one in the case with the rest. It's also unopened so no I didn't put food coloring in.

Everytime I go to return my bottles/cans, the bins are full. The room smells & is filthy. I was told to “ring the buzzer” on the wall and someone will come out. I have done that several times. Gave up, called the store, was told someone would be right out. 15 minutes later I call again only to be told they were short staffed & the only person to change the bin was on break. I asked why she couldn’t have just told me that the first time and I would have come back later. No response. Place is going downhill, too expensive to buy anything there unless it’s on sale. No one seems to care anymore. It’s sad.

Lately, the quality of food and service at this location has been lacking. Employees block sections of the aisles as they restock and ignore you when you ask to get an item. And buying any fresh fruit or veggies can be difficult because they tend to already be going bad. Bought a fruit parfait with a sell by date 2 days away. The blueberries all have alternaria rot.

So I called to see if they can cash a check because my bank account was compromised and they said yes until 7pm. So I make the drive from Webster only for them to let me know at the desk “I just want to let you know sometimes it doesn’t work” and it didn’t they said yeah happens all the time sorry. So you don’t really cash checks then tell people the correct information tell them it’s possible but there’s a chance you’ll be denied and we have no idea why. Tell them that over the phone so they don’t drive all the way there for nothing but a sorry it didn’t work can’t do anything response. If they would just tell me over the phone these details I wouldn’t have made any complaints they simply said “ yes we do cash checks” I won’t ever come back here it’s not a good grocery shop to begin no reason to. I guess it’s the main thing if you live in Ontario though. To me if a business does something like that I’m never going back you wasted my time. So people should know this they cash checks when they and the system feels like it.

Best customer Services, and Friendliest Staff!We moved to Ontario 5 years ago. We thought we would miss the shopping scene in Webster. What I discovered is that Top's has truly genuine friendly workers, and they are a pleasure to see. I was greeted with a friendly good morning by the cart guy in the lobby, the produce guy, the cashiers at self checkout, and others. Regardless if I am shopping at 6:30 AM or in the afternoon, everyone seems very pleasant. This makes a difference to me. Lately I have found that in other establishments they truly don't seem to want to help customers. I really like the atmosphere in Top's.

Tops never stops serving their customers more products, special sales, quality selections and overall good in-store services. Easy self check out registers for either cash/ check or credit/debit cards.Get a Tops Card and sign up turn the web site and get their weekly ad and special coupons to save more on your food and sundry items. A good bakery with weekly specials. And, with a Tops store card you can accumulate points for anywhere to 10 cents to 70 cents off a gallon of gasoline fill up .

It's Lent and fish fry time. Unfortunately this is not the place to get one. While it is a good price with coupon, that's about all that is good. Fish was large but off taste. Fries are fries. The "coleslaw" is large amount, but it ranks right up there with plain cabbage. Come on Tops, you make coleslaw in deli and sell different brands of coleslaw, you can do much better than this. Store remodeling doesn't make up for poor quality

This location is always on point. They never run out of the things I need and always have great sales going on every week. I also love their program that lets you build points quickly and that gives you .20 cents off a gallon or more. It goes a long way. The employees here are all very sweet, respectful and can answer any questions you have. If they don't have the answer, they won't just say "I'm not sure, I'm sorry". They will find someone fast who will be able to help you.

Good place. Been going here pretty much my whole life. Very clean, great staff and good products. Would give 5 stars but everything here is very expensive. Other than that I recommend.

Did a pretty good job of cleaning the place up. Still not anywhere near how nice the Walworth Tops is. While the facelift was appreciated they regressed in inventory. Either the person in charge of ordering or their selected suppliers are sub standard. They stopped carrying some pretty standard stuff like seeded Beef Steak rye bread, OutShine creamy coconut bars, Dole or Chiquita bananas. This is not a supply issue as I have started shopping at Wegmans and never have an issue with purchasing these items. Hope they can get their act together as the location was convenient.December 2021: Ontario Tops are making some improvements on ordering and have once again started carrying seeded and unseeded Beef Steak rye bread. The improved effort adds a star.May 2022: Ontario Tops continue to make improvements in ordering or getting better suppliers as many of the food items they stopped carrying are now available at this store. Continual improvement deserves acknowledgment and with appreciation, I have taken them up to 4 stars.

Make sure you check dates. Make sure you compare same products. This store clearly doesn't care. Today, (10/10/21) we purchased some pumpernickel bread to have with rye dip. The bread was moldy and dated for 10/1 and still on the shelf. And some of the rye dips had a half a pound and selling for a full pound.

Would be a much better place if the cashier that checked me out wasent the same person that does drugs with one of my relatives, don't like being in a store with someone that works there that i know is on drugs! Makes me feel unsafe, and don't feel safe bringing my little kids in, think they should do surprise drug test so the employees don't know that way they can't bring clean pee with them or get a detox pee kit,or do any other deceiving tricks so they pass , random test wouis be great , if they did that she would be gone and me and my kids would love to go back , we spend 700 to 1000 dollars a month there but haven't in the past five months , we will return back to do our shopping when we can feel safe there, but that won't be till she's gone......

My wife was shopping at the Ontario NY store today. There were 3 people in the store that she couldn't avoid that weren't wearing masks. No one from the store approached them and inforced the Tops policy of wearing a mask. If we want to stay safe we have to start avoiding stores that aren't willing to keep us safe.

The middle age woman at the customer service desk on 11/01/2018 at 2:20pm was extremely rude. She carried on a full conversation with her friend while we were trying to get service. She also spoke extremely rude and harsh to a gentleman with a disability. She could really use retraining on what customer service is all about. Also, the bathrooms were horrendous. With all the staff that were standing around, one would think that the toliet paper in at least 1 stall would be on the toliet paper holder. Instead every stall had a half a role sitting on the tampon disposal bin. DISGUSTING. Plenty of other places to shop nearby.

Always selling expired food. I see why wegmans is better. Wegmans where are you! Come put Tops under. This Tops sucks, their workers can't read the expiration dates. It might be the water or the phones can't teach them to read. Almost every shopping trip I have had at Tops therrs something past the date. It's nasty.

Tops in Ontario is not one of the mega stores but is a good grocery with a wide variety of essential products that serves the community well. The staff are friendly and helpful with a good community feel to it.

If u don't find what u need,management will go out of there way to get it for you. The staff is very hard working, busy all the time, but always find time for you. Although they do need more staff on hand
