Specifically want to call out the service of the employees during my visit today. I was looking for a grip bar for the bathroom with my father-in-law. We asked an employee and they gave us precise directions to find them. As we moved back to the front of the store, I realized my father-in-law had left his cane in the car and he was struggling with the long walk. I caught the eye of Dean a the customer service desk and asked if we could check out there-- he took one quick look and quickly nodded his head and invited us over to the side register. It is a small thing-- but it was exactly what was needed and it was done in a way that preserved my father-in-law's dignity. Thank you, Dean.

Great prices, knowledgeable staff. Grabbed a water tank pressure switch and was helped in understanding the different types and purposes and given advice in maintenance of my system. Accomodated my late arrival just before close understanding my emergency.

I wanted to give a shout out to this Home Depot ( I know I jokingly bust your chops a lot) I truly love the staff here! Jeremy always helpful and I love our banter, Rylee (hopefully I spelled your name correctly although I doubt it) you are always helpful in calling staff to find my items or getting my order when you see me, Michelle always a delight and Tyler ( the animal handler lol) I can’t express how many times you’ve loaded my car and found items for me, just to name a few. I can’t tell you enough that you are great and always helpful, taking me to aisles to find my items, the endless bags of mulch and rocks to stop my dogs digging and then loading in my car, my attempts at painting, my endless house projects to get my house in order to put up for sale. You guys are the best! Jim store manager ( you are the best manager and I know you spread yourself pretty thin) I will never forget the time you stopped a store meeting to help me! I can’t express enough appreciation for what you do and how much you’ve helped me especially after I was injured in the car accident. I love home Depot and it's where I get most of my supplies the guys that helped me out in the store were great but the person that was being super hovery in the self checkout was driving me nuts and making me feel uncomfortable. It's kind of obvious that I shop there a lot because I knew what I was doing but she had to give me a play by play of every function of the self-checkout and I'd really like people to leave me alone that's kind of the point of the self checkout....

LOVE this home Depot location.I've been to Home Depot locations all over the country, and this one is fantastic.Staff are wonderful, no pushing or up selling, just simple help and advice, and if you say you're fine they leave you alone. Love it!Stock is great, location is easy to get to, couldn't be happier.

Don’t even think of ordering appliances from this store Oneonta or any other Home Depot!! I ordered a complete kitchen with extended warranties and paid for installation ($6000.00).The delivery people insisted that the appliances wouldn’t fit through the door, I suggested to take the appliances out of the box and they would fit. They said it would be against store policy, they were able to get the dishwasher in I then mentioned installation that I purchased and and they said sorry but we don’t install. I proceeded to call customer service and the delivery people wouldn’t speak to customer service as requested. I canceled the order and they seemed relieved that I did and left with the order. 😡

In the end, I got what I came for. But I made it clear this is my first time painting and that I had some questions. British associate acted annoyed during our whole interaction. I get this is what you do for work and I'm just a clueless individual, but would of been nice if he was more helpful. Other Rep in the paint department I've dealt with was helpful, but I've seen him visibly and audibly angry before while behind the counter.

Their rental department states you can't hold equipment it's first come first served. That is NOT true. Went to rent a lift and was told it was on hold from the day before. Guess you have to be special to reserve equipment here.

Please take a look at the photo below or above tell me what price the lattice is? Home Depot has the worst manager in the evening at the Oneonta location. Pricing is very misleading. Manager wouldn't honor the price on the lattice.

Should of went here first even though Harbor Freight and Lowes is within minutes of each other. I was offered assistance and got what I needed, so happy with the experience. Excellent customer service and they know what I wanted even though I wasn't using the correct terms to describe it.

It's ok, but no one can find anyone to assist you or it seems the desire to want to help you is lacking . I usually go to Lowes even though it is a bit more expensive, but the folks there are willing to assist or go out of their way to help you.

Always been a fan of home depot and DIYs (flipping my house) but this location takes the cake, the staff are the absolute best I've had the pleasure of working with and being advised by, my projects became more efficient. Seriously from pain to paneling to electric and plumbing they have someone that can give great advice in every corner. And excellent marketing strategy that leaves a vendor and a client winning.

It was the cleanest store I have ever been to in My life. Home depots are usually very clean anyway but this one was outstanding. Everyone I talk to was was very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of items that other stores that other home depots don't have.

Purchased a Woodbrook 30” Halifax Oak Vanity “Com” today. Display showed vanity/top/faucet/mirror. I thought “com” on the display poster was short for combo…. A great buy for $249.99. Except when you get the call from your contractor that the faucet that was part of the display was not included. The display model is misleading. When you go back to the display, you see a washer plugging the drain hole. Hmm. That’s odd. Did not notice that before! Then the faucets…oh- there they are, tucked on the side of the display for an additional $44.99.Well, you get 3 of 4 items on display for $249.99! Break the $300+ threshold and you get everything. Disappointing display. Misleading. That should be clearer to consumers.

I was going in today to spend about $200 on supplies for a project. They didn’t have any carts by the lumber so I worked my way down. I got down to the power tool section before I found a flat cart in the middle of the isle unattended. I grabbed and headed to get the insulation boards I need and then heard someone yelling hey that’s my cart! I stopped and an employee came chasing me down telling me that was her cart. I said I couldn’t find any anywhere else and this was the first I could find. She yelled back carts are outside or in isle 5! I put down everything I had and left the store. This was not a teenage but a grown women who treated me like this.

After searching for an air conditioner near us we decided on Home Depot. I checked their website and found the air conditioner that fit our budget and was in stock. When we got there I had to go through two different people to find where the ACs were. They didn't have the one we went there for so we asked someone that works there to clarify that and he said someone must have screwed it up because they don't have those there. As in, they never had or just that there weren't anymore? But never an apology for the screw up. Okay, I know by now you're probably thinking 'wow, well she's an entitled gem'. But that's honestly not the case. Who hasn't just wanted a simple apology. I don't think I'm asking for a lot and does good work ethic mean anything anymore when nobody even offers to apologize for causing a simple misunderstanding or inconvenience to their customers anymore. It was more like, good luck to ya! And I was beginning to think that we should be the ones who apologize for bothering them. What I remember with any orientation or training that was required before I started working at my job was to always DO for the customer and make their experience a good one. Period. Which some customers take to extremes (believe me I know). But simple courtesy things like that, I just don't see that with a lot of stores anymore in this town, especially Harbor Freight. So that's why it's not a complete 5 stars.Anyway...by that time it's like, come on pick one. The whole purpose to us getting an air conditioner so late in the day is because our 15-month-old has not taken a nap AT ALL today because the house is too uncomfortable, even with fans blowing. The sun just sits on our house. But I wasn't wanting to leave without one so I kinda felt forced to purchase something we probably could have just got at Lowe's, which is right across from us. So maybe the fact that we had a cranky baby with us or that we had to go to that particular store (which we usually don't - no offense!) was why I gave Home Depot a 3.BUT, on the actual AC review: it is AMAZING. We use it for only our bedroom that we share with our daughter and it cooled down the room SO quick. I like the automatic shut off function. It's quiet and is the perfect white noise for sleeping. Highly recommended.

The guy in the paint department with the British or English accent is very rude. Every time I go in there for paint I have an issue with him. Just this morning he not only was rude to me but also to 3 other customers including an elderly man. I don’t know how they let him get away with this but I will be getting my paint from somewhere else from now on.
