The crappiest customer service ever. Cashier purposely dropped another customers drinks into the bag with the worst attitude ive ever seen a cashier have. Was standing in line for over 5 minutes waiting for someone come to the checkout. I suggest everyone use another dollar general. Dirty store also.

Very helpful staff members always willing to help locate items when asked if it got moved to a different aisle or if they have it in back the willing to go check.inside they have a freezer section / refrigeration area plus your regular foods and merchandise that go on shelving for storage as well as displayed in ways all heights and ages can see everything from your folks and knives to car materials as well as both wet and dry foods as well as treats toys colors leashes etc for your pets. Soaps, shampoos, over the counter medicines and vitamins for humans.ect...

The place is a mess and the lot is crawling with sketchy people and junkies. Lock your card for sure. Some of the staff are solid. Usually treated with kindness. Not sure how they do it after dealing with thieves and scumbags all day

Dollar stores are known for being very messy, dirty, and seriously understaffed. I have been in this Oneonta store twice. It is without doubt the messiest, dirtiest store I have ever been in.I have been in bad stores in cities like NYC, Chicago, etc and this is the worst.There is more inventory in boxes blocking the shelves than their is inventory on the shelves.Where is the Manager, District Manager, Vp’s, Pres., CEO, Oneonta, Otsego, and State health departments?Doesn’t anyone have any pride. How can good conscientious employees hire in, or work there.No wonder they can’t get and keep good help.This is just my honest opinion. Don’t believe any store could be that bad, just check it out anytime. (Check your codes if you dare buy anything)

Once Allan passed away which was a huge hit for everyone, this store is a hot mess. I feel like I work there if I pile up products of expired so badly 6 months to 2 years expired. Most people don't check dates and apparently the person putting the stuff out don't check but people use or eat this stuff and it's dangerous. The manager is outside most of the time and the one skinny guy works hard. Everyone else nope. I hope something gets done about this store because it's sad how bad it is.Original review from 1 year ago and later -Love the employees. Down to earth and helpful

Wonderful store and very pleasant employees that are eager to help.There was extreme price gouging in other retail stores since the COVID-19 pandemic, yet Dollar General never jumped on the bandwagon of price gouging, Dollar General always look out for their customers.The store is clean despite some other reviews here. In my opinion the aisles can be a little tight, but this allows the store to stock more items (even refrigerated items). Keep up the good work!

The staff is friendly and helpful. If you need to locate something they can help or even find it for you. My experience has always been pretty awesome. I appreciate their efforts in being friendly and engaging. Retail is one of the hardest soul sucking jobs out there.

Dirty as all heck and the most unorganized store I've ever stepped foot in. Stuff all over the store and the stock crate things fill the store so you can't even use a cart in there. Employees are always very nice and helpful but they need more staff! Nothing against the employees. I see them do all they can and always short staffed.

I love dollar general, but this one can be a pain to navigate, especially with a cart, because they always have carts of products in the middle of an aisle making it hard to get around. But besides that, it's great. The manager is really nice, and so are most of the people who work there.

Love to coupon here. Using the digital coupons with manufacture coupons on Saturdays with the $5/$25 you can get excellent deals. If you Google dollar general weekly coupon deals it will give you a breakdown all the way to how much you will pay of everything you need. I've got tide pods,diapers, dog food and left paying less than $5

Very bad experience everytime I have been there!! There is a worker there with long red hair who walks around with his headphones blaring music and whenever I ask him something he acts like I am annoying him!! It's not just once it's been everytime! My wife and daughter feel the same way!

Yesterday I locked my keys in my car and the employees were kind to make sure I was alright when I got items to attempt to unlock it. I ended up calling a friend to help me open it.The cashier and manager (I'm assuming the guy was a manager) were friendly and professional.

Everything you could get at a grocery except fresh meat, fruit, and vegetables. Hard working staff are constantly stocking the shelves, great deals on everything and cell phones. They also take ebt and give cash back at the register. there is one in every small town of note around here-upstate n.y. giving us options and saving us long trips to the nearest walmart.

Sure, not everything is a dollar as the name might lead you to believe, but their products are cheap. Good place to pick up snacks, toiletries, household products, and even clothes. Much cheaper than Walmart in most aspects.

It is dirty. You could not get down the isles. The store is so unorganized. I feel the corporate people need to pay a visit to the Oneonta store. I also feel it needs the floors cleaned they are so dirty

This one is a bit small and dirty compared to the other stores. Be very careful in the parking lot because there are no painted lines and people tend to park in the area cars should be driving through.

This place is disgusting. Dirty and cluttered. When I was there, there was a domestic dispute with yelling and racial slurs being thrown about. Not one employee intervened. I never made a purchase as I left the store to avoid this situation.

The name is missleading to me. I think its a doallar store. Its not, its just like any other store. There are some good deals here though.
