BJ’s has to play games with their coupons. Forgot coupons and forgot to flag electronically online. So I didn’t buy everything on my list except for 1 item I needed. Unlike Costco where they just automatically come off your bill without having to cut coupons or play online. Usually do a $1,000 order at Costco when in Jersey and pack coolers and truck bed. No comparison between BJ’s and Costco. Hands down Costco is superior. I try to avoid this place and wait for a Jersey trip.

Please notice BJ'S sales. They never give the sale price just $2.00 off, $1.50 off. You would need to have your old sales receipt to see if it's a bargain. Well, I do. Time and again they give a coupon and raise the price on the shelf effectively making it not a sale. I've seen it 3 different times.

Visiting family, I was a member of BJ’s until I moved to the Nashville TN. BJ’s was always my favorite. More brand choices than Samsclub. Great deals. They are opening A Bj’s soon by me in TN. This location was a great reminder of what I miss.

They will stand over you and watch you do the self-checkout like you were a thief, and then make you wait at the door while they count the stuff in your basket. They do that even if you go through a register with an actual person. I’m not sure why people pay so much money a year to be treated like a criminal. It’s not like the prices are really any different from everywhere else in town. I’ve done the research. At least Walmart doesn’t treat its customers like criminals and I don’t have to pay a yearly fee. And I get everything cheap as well. Terrible place, terrible customer service, terrible prices for the yearly fee, and you can get cheaper gas almost anywhere else.

When we arrive at Oneonta BJ’s and the greeter Rick is on, we are always greeted in a friendly way. When we are leaving Rick is there, always friendly, a smile and pleasant chatter as he does his job professionally. Rick has fun at doing his job, and it shows.Tick is the kind of employee all to rare in BJ’s and unfortunately too many other retail stores..***** Great job Rick. This particular location is probably the smallest and least stocked I've been to. Also don't bother with coupons they usually don't have them and the electronic ones are only good for 1 item so if you want a single bag of chips it's great the others will have to come without a discount (sounds like trapping specially when you have a big family and got membership in the lousy club for the coupons and savings on family and bulk shopping) guess we'll have to find another wholesale store. Way to go BJs like I'll drive 30 min to buy 1 item of each of my needs when Wal-Mart is down my street.

I save a lot of money with bulk purchases at their store. Some of the food quality is even organic. They are one of the few stores that offers KETO bread. The not-so-good side is that they do not carry recycled toilet paper, recycled paper towels, recycled napkins, and do not have environmentally friendly washing detergent. They do not have environmentally friendly skipjack tuna. Their Championship sweatpants quality appears fake--in NYC Championship sweatpants are usually 100% cotton (or at least used to be), and BJs are of a strange material like a rip-off even though they are cheaper, through the Championship t-shirts there appear to be mainly good quality cotton. BJs also does not sell sneakers often. Their Zero Water filters are sometimes not okay--with one missing from a box that appears to have happened at the shipping facility. Their customer service on the phone and in-store is so-so, they still have my dead mom's name as a shipping address, and I cannot change it online--I tried to correct it with them a few times these past years, but they still have not done it.

A friend of mine recently visited the Oneonta BJ's Club and had a story to tell.On top of buying groceries for their family, they also needed diapers. When it came time to check out their card was declined. Sadly there weren't enough funds in the account to cover the diapers. They asked the cashier to remove the diapers from their order. Instead of removing them, Emily Brown paid the difference.For a young high-school student to take money out of their own pocket and help a struggling family amazes me. Not many people would do such a thing, they would have simply removed the diapers and went about their day, adults included. To hear of such a thing in a time when this country is so polarized, gives me hope.Thank you for your kindness and generosity Emily. You are a wonderful person and have a wonderful heart.

Most days are fine. Some of the best employees have been fired though. Still, as long as the machines are working and we actually price compare, we can do decently and membership is still worth while.Automotive department has always been good, even when mis-managed and bogged down. It'd be helpful to have two techs sometimes, but BJ's likes to keep it to one guy most of the time. They make do.

Great prices and love that I can buy in bulk. I have a large family. The only issue I had was I bought parmesan cheese and it turned black 4 days after purchasing it. Have not bought it again and have had no other issues

Whenever I've gone there I found everything I was looking for. The store is well organized and had a decent flow. The customer service has always been fantastic and eager to help. And the bathrooms are always spotless. Always the first place I go to buy groceries.

I called just now in regards to a membership, I was out of the country on business and just came back. The woman at member services is the C word let's just put it that way. So rude, snarky and condescending and unpleasant. If I were to pay for a membership I will NEVER do it now. I will be getting my membership at Sam's club in Kingston. They have much more to offer and are much more helpful. Here is a word of advice you should have someone with customer service skills working in member services. What is going on with customer service these days? Businesses hire these rude trashy people with no customer service . I did not realize the membership expired by one day and she refused to wave it for one day. I come here all the time. I will not anymore. She condescendingly said NOPE. If it expired it expired. She also never said her name when she answered the phone and had an attitude from when she answered the phone. You hire some real winner's Bjs.

So I ordered an Avengers cake from the bakery for my son's 9 yr old Birthday over a week in advance. I called the morning i was set to pick up the cake to make sure everything was good and was told "sure everything is ready"...i get to the store and ask for my cake and was then told oh we didn't have the right colors " I asked well why didn't anyone call to inform me and we could've changed it???? So I guess you guys just give people whatever cake you want and not what they ask for huh??? Yes they did remove $10.00 off the cake but now I have a cake that doesn't match any of the decorations...good job but the best was when I was told "MAYBE NEXT YEAR I SHOULD JUST BAKE MY OWN CAKE" LMAO ill never buy anything from here again..i wish there was a place where I can post the pictures of the cakeni ordered and the one they gave me....save your money people its just not worth it

Not good service at all, I was completely ignored when I walked up to the register, then had to empty everything out of my cart, which every time I have shopped at BJs only the smaller items I had to put on the belt. As I was putting all of my items on the belt, the cashier is putting items back in the same cart I was taking out of, instead of either, waiting for me take everything out of my cart, or put the items scanned in a empty cart. She then was throwing the items back in the cart, with heavy things on top.Then I had multiple coupons,( I could tell the cashier was having a little trouble getting some of coupons to work, but she never called another associate to help, I didn't really think to check my receipt before leaving the store.) I then looked at my receipt out in the parking lot and she forgot to scan half of the coupons. So within a couple minutes of leaving the store, I returned to the customer service desk after being told from the associate at the door, " it was no problem they could put those coupons she missed on my receipt and fund back to me." I proceeded to let the associate at customer service know I was just in the store shopping, 5 minutes ago, and the cashier forgot to scan half of my coupons. She then asked if I had the physical coupons with me, I had told her the cashier had them, and the associate at customer service held up 3 coupon books, thinking I was going to flipp through all 3 books, after spending $230.00 on groceries they couldn't have just put the $10 worth of coupons the cashier missed back on my receipt. I can say after shopping here for at least 7 years and buying my gas from them, spending a couple thousand a year, i will not shop here again, and its not about the coupons or the money, but how I was treated and seemed like they didn't care about "customer service".

BJ's ... Expedient shopping, staff helpful, always have the carts w a friendly person to try samples of food ... I usually pass on it .. only bcs my diet is specific. Selections are good & quantity... like the Xtra V'n Olv oils ... save $ over other stores... great produce section. .large bags of organic lettuce, tomatoes, garlic, apples & cost effective that I can't find elsewhere...and pineapples! 2X size @ less cost than competitors...I eat 1 pineapple every two days...they are good for gut & lose weight. BJ's has large section of athletic clothing: hoodies, shirts, pants etc..at fraction of normal price...the store is an integral part of grocery, household supplies & numerous other items.
