They have nice baked goods and deserts and an excellent meat section. Great butchers.-However- their produce specifically, mushrooms, onions, avocados any sensitive produce is always a hit or miss.Also their hot food to go, that is self served , and rotisserie chicken do NOT have time stamps on which these items are made. I go to Reid’s often, and honestly 75% of the time the food in the to go, looks crusty and left out for awhile. The temperature at which food is held is critical.The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends maintaining hot food at a minimum internal temperature of 140°F (60°C). Food that falls below this temperature is at risk of bacterial growth and should be discarded after no more than four hours.However I do have to say the staff is always very nice and helpful.

The smell of fresh produce. The feeling of home given by staff. I've been living in Virginia for over 15 years, but Reid's Food Barn is one of the reasons I know I will be back to Olean. Exquisite Customer Service, the smell of clean floors and counters, The pot of coffee available for customer enjoyment, those familiar faces serving kindness; I'll be back.

Has the best produce department in the area. I was amazed at what appears to be hand picked produce. Not a brown banana in the store! The selection, quality and price are incredible. The bakery is fantastic, and the deli is great too. I shopped all over Olean, and now Reid's food Barn is my new regular shopping destination.

They got more at Ried's Food Barn! I love this place. It's a smaller grocery store (compared to newer places), but it's well organized and they even have great fresh meals (subs, pizza, etc.). Check it out!

Nice and clean store ,Great Selection of bake goods,and the deli also has a Great Selection of hams,and Salads. The Hot bar has Great selction also. A+

Awesome store! First time there and it was a pleasure wondering around. Bought a load of piping hot Italian bread for .99 cents, some nice produce, then continued on and saw a nice hot bar with nice fresh foods, but bought a delicious piece of white pizza with tomatoes and onions for $1.75..hot and from wonderful deli personnel. Will definitely stop in again when in the area!

I ordered a cake and cupcakes fromThe bakery it looks like a “nailed it” cake it was done so horribly they promised they could achieve this and did not deliver then when I called and had no time to get a new one before my daughters party the manager told me he would refund me for the cake I drove all the way over for them to not even refund half of the order what a joke!

The baked goods here are some of the best around. Their prices are also incredible. I just picked up their bakery hamburger rolls and house roasted roast beef. Not only was it the best sandwiches I've made for lunch in a long time, those things were WAY less expensive than they are at Tops or Walmart. Every dessert is excellent, you can't go wrong!

A great store,friendly staff, well stocked and very clean!!! Great handicapped parking (because I use it!)and two handicapped carts available! If you can't find an item, just ask 'Quinn' and he'll find it for you! Best donut selection in Olean and a lovely produce dept & well stocked meat dept...can we talk deli too? Hot food bar & more! Yes, I suggest shopping here!!

Rieds Food Barn is one of the nicest grocery stores we have here in Olean....It is a long standing privately, independent,and locally owned company.The store employs many people from this area...it is always clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful.Reid's Food Barn offers many products,from fresh produce,dairy,bake good's,can good's,a wide selection of meats, a large assortment of beverages,and household needs...And I almost forgotten to mention one of the best deli's that you could ask for! Fresh made subs made to order,along with wings and pizza....They also have a self-service hot meal menu that is as good as any restaurant in town!My wife and I both are so glad that we have this fine establishment in our backyard.Thanks Ried's for your service to our community.

This place has absolutely the best donuts they have wonderful baked goods for breads and other things like that. They've got a great assortment of meats. They're dairy and cheese section is phenomenal they also have hot and fresh food ready and waiting every single day. Great deli items available David they also have pizza and subs pretty much on demand you can't get a better store than this when it comes to food

The bakery was over the top! The donuts are the best in town, the variety of baked goods offered along with fresh rolls and such is spectacular. Great pricing in my option. The deli looked good as well. Nice selection of NY branded items (Cuba cheese, kemmelweck rolls, beers, ect).

Love shopping Rieds. The produce is always fresh, and the donuts are varied and tasty. I discovered Bob’s Red Mill cereals and grains here. The bakery offers a tempting array of treats, which rivals bigger stores. And their tough brown bags hold 40 lbs.

Reid's is a medium sized grocery store where things are easy to find and yet there is plenty of variety. There are reasonable numbers of cashiers and service is excellent. Their bakery is very good. Always a pleasant place to shop!

Even though I know I’m paying higher prices at Rieds, I’ve been supporting them for the past 10+ years, refusing to shop at any big box stores, trying to support the locality owned business, especially in times like this! I do all my grocery shopping with them. And I’m vocal about shopping local. I easily spend 250+ a week here. I was in there last week, without a mask and the owner rudely approached me asking me where my mask was, I told him I don’t have one and he said he had one to give me, and that I can’t come into his store without one on again. I’m pretty sure he sits in his office stalking customers without masks.They’re the ONLY grocery store in Olean that’s enforcing this mask “mandate”….not a law. It wouldn’t surprise me if they start asking for proof of the vaccine to shop there…They’ve lost myself and a handful others because of this, I’m going to shop at the other locally owned stores that don’t infringe on my rights. Don’t support people that don’t support your rights!✌🏼
