We rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon. Everything went perfectly. The folks there were very helpful and friendly. Our time cruising the lakes was awesome. Such a great way to have family time. We are looking forward to doing this again.

Easy to deal with and a great experience. We rented a almost-new pontoon that fit 13 people, which was great for our big party (with room to spare on the boat). The company was super flexible when we got delayed and had to return the boat a little late. Would go back!

Have rented a few times, boats seem to be well maintained and clean, but the employees who work here have the personalities of a wooden door.Took a canoe one day and pedal boat out to kill time before the rest of the family got here and the girl who helped us didn't explain anything (not that it needed it) but it'd be nice to see some sort of customer relations skills. This isn't the first time this has happened as we have also been renting pontoon boats for a few years now.Overall, will probably continue to rent as they're basically the only marina in Old Forge.

Best boat rental ever. The boat was beyond our expectation in quality and delivery to our dock saved time and got us on the lake quicker. Highly recommend their services. Everyone we spoke to was kind and accommodating. We had a small accident with a rock and our propeller the fee charged was reasonable and the staff handled it professionally. If ever in the area rent from Rivett's you will not be disappointed.

We rented a pontoon boat for a week and received stellar service. Everyone we encountered whether it was over the phone or in person was accommodating, professional and courteous. Nothing was a problem for them, whether it was a lost bolt/knob in the lake, blowing up our tube for us, or delivering gas. The rental ratel was a little higher with them, but they made up for it with the incredible service. Life jackets, tow rope, and a water pad came with the rental. We brought our own tube. We created some terrific family memories, thank you Rivett's!

Rented kayaks over the weekend- plenty available and easy spot to launch from. Workers were helpful and friendly- though not super knowledgeable about things like weight limits on boats which caused a little trouble 😅 luckily they helped us out quickly and we got back on the water. Prices for hourly rates were pretty steep, but the 4hour package is a good deal.

Great afternoon on a pontoon boat to the Fourth lake and return. Attendants were very helpful in explaining everything and taking care of us. The only thing that I have to question is the gas is added to the bill before computing the state and local tax. Gasoline is already taxed. I highly recommend renting from Rivett’s.

Every visit to Old Forge requires a visit to Rivett's. I swear the pontoon boat we were on in July was brand new! The boats are always clean & ready to go. Mike & his staff are very knowledgable and very helpful. He is always smiling & very happy to see his customers enjoying themselves out on the lakes. Make sure you throw Hacker the dog a rock into the water! He is the best. We even bought Hacker t-shirts.

The staff (especially little Teddy) was so friendly and really have a great business there! There water crafts were all practically brand new and obviously well cared for! We will make this a regular pontoon rental spot for sure. We had a great day on the lakes!! Thank you all :)

I don’t like leaving a negative review on any small business. My husband and I are small business owners ourselves, but I feel like I need to speak out regarding this marina’s policy. We rented a pontoon boat in July this year. It was a torrential rain storm so we had to get a rain check. When you rent from them, you have to sign a waiver that states that if you have a rain check you have to use it in the same season. After receiving the rain check we got an automated email with the voucher information that also indicated that we had to use it within 365 days. This makes sense doesn’t it?? You pay $560 for a boat so it makes sense to have a year within the contract to use it. Fair. But no, when I inquired about it I was told it was sent out through their service and was incorrect. Okay, so every weekend was either wet or we had weddings, etc. Finally made a reservation to try to get back there this last weekend before they close. My husband gets exposed to covid. It’s not happening. I called to ask if they would allow us to extend the rental into next year within the one year contract date. They refused to help us out. “Prices might go up next year”. I said we would certainly pay for the increase. Still no. These are tough times. Now we just lost $560. They gained. How many more people have they gained from this season? I guess that’s how they make their money on the tourists. Sad. Owners: You just lost a customer but hey what do you care? There will be another one ready to rent the boat so you’ll make your money. I have an idea: instead of screwing people out of that kind of money, maybe charge a no show fee of $100 or something like that. We would’ve been happy with that.Lesson learned I guess.

Rented a boat for three days, had a great time. Friendly Staff. Clean well kept Boats. But if something goes wrong like your out on the lake and your Low Oil alarm goes off.. or it rains for the whole time you've rented the Boat.. Don't expect any discounts or adjustments in comparison.. they make the rules.. if you own a Boat bring it..

Glad there are lots of positive reviews. Paid $30 to Launch and then was informed there is no parking. OK - No problem. Where can I park... I don’t know try the lot over by Pied piper... or somewhere in town. Had a heck of a time loading at the end of day tight ramp and I am new at this. Owner stood their and watched a customer struggle and offered zero assistance as he road his pink scooter around while his kids asked him to please wear a helmet and he refused. He set a hell of a example for his kids and staff. I will get better at backing up a trailer but unfortunately this clown will continue down his path.

Good boat rental in Old Forge. Just be careful to note the condition of the boat and prop with photos. There was pre-existing damage on a housing, so just be careful bcs the boats get heavy use in the summer. The boat were well maintained, but cosmetic damage could be an issue. So be prudent. I'd rent again with that caveat.

My family got lucky! We showed up on a Saturday afternoon with no reservations and were able to rent a canoe for an hour. It is the one thing my oldest daughter and my husband wanted to do during our visit to the Adirondacks. They had so much out on the water even if it was just for a short time. Thank you to the staff for finding one more canoe for them to be able to make these memories!

They said they would help me with transportation so I could canoe the fulton chain of lakes. Then towards the trip starting the details started getting shakey. Maybe they would pick me up in the morning but if not they would be there at 6 pm. So I canceled, and they offered a 0$ refund. I was out 180$. Would definitely not recommend. Long time customer, will never go back

Long time Rivetts customer, booked a pontoon 150 for a week and was told they only had a bowrider 150. I said ok so after the weekend can I trade it in for the pontoon since we have 10 people. Lady said yes. Get there to pickup bowrider and leaving the channel the glovebox door flys off and hits my wife in the face. Go to open the other glovebox and that’s broke too. None of the lights work, horn, bilge pump, nothing, seats are all ripped. This is what I just paid $3k to rent for the week. Call Monday and they tell me no pontoons available, I explained what the lady said and the guy just cut me short and said no pontoons. Go into town to get groceries and there’s 25 pontoon boats there. All week when we were in town they had 15+ pontoon boats just sitting there. Was complaining to someone in town and they said they literally called Monday and booked a pontoon for this week. So basically they already got my money so they didn’t care about me anymore. Very disappointed with your customer service with someone who spends $3k every year with you. Rivetts has become so commercialized they don’t care about the customer anymore. I’ll bring a boat from home from now on and if I was you, explore your options. Not worth the money, aggregation or headaches.

This summer I needed two major repairs for each of my fishing boats. Rivett's has gone above and beyond. Their mechanic has made my 1992 and 1989 Johnson motors run and perform as new. I have used other marinas before but by far their service and expertise are second to none. Trust Rivetts for any repair you need, they will certainly meet your needs and leave you completely satisfied.

For anyone heading up to Old Forge this summer and wants to rent a boat or other watercraft for the hour, day or week Rivett's offers terrific service and great equipment. Hacker (their dog) is always there to greet you and the staff always friendly. Don't come to Old Forge without spending a little time on the water if you can.

Rivetts is the best. It’s the only place you should consider when renting in Old Forge. Me and My family have been renting from them for 15 years and they always deliver. Literally. Always. They’re more dependable than your aunt Pam or your old hat. Call them. Rent a boat. Love your life.

I called the day before to check the pricing for kayak rentals. The woman in the phone stated that they had kayaks and that there wouldn’t be any need to reserve them because they don’t rent them out very often. We went in the next morning and they only had one kayak available because the two others that they had were rented for the day. The employees were apologetic, but they should have allowed us to reserve the night before like I had asked. If you plan to rent from here, be sure to reserve ahead of time even if they say you don’t need to. They also only have three kayaks available for rental anyway.
