Ace Hardware is my hometown store for all my projects and project needs. I have access to bigger box hardware but I prefer the friendly and attentive service at Ace. I know most of the employees on a first name basis. I find them to be very knowledgeable and extremely helpful whenever I have questions. Their pricing is competitive and product lines are varied and the quality is top notch.I love the fact that if I need something in the clothing line they carry a good basic selection of necessities.Also when I needed a new functional pocketbook Ace had just the right selection. Two of my friends liked mine so much that I bought each of them one in different colors for their respective birthdays. What's not to love about ACE!!!!!

I visit this store when I frequent Old Forge. You can get lost in the isles of products from general hardware, books, clothes, puzzles, kitchenware, soap, yarn, to so much more. It's truly an iconic ADK store with staff as friendly as the wide selection. A must visit when you're in the area.

By far one of the cheapest places in town to get items you need for camping, house hold, etc. They are probably the best price for souvenirs like shirts and sweat shirts and more.

They were very helpful and saved our camping trip! I picked up my ThermaCELL refills at home and must have put the unit down accidentally. Couldn't find a replacement one in Old Forge anywhere. Then I saw Ace Hardware has them online and this store is also an Ace Hardware! I ordered it online for pickup the next day and got it. They were so helpful and friendly. Crazy how hard these are to find in basically a camping town.

everything was great till we got to check out. there were 2 ladies, one was scanning & very nice, patient & helpful. The other was snippy, & rude at one point. My daughter who is 15 (not a little kid) was simply looking at a display knife that was hanging near the register, my daughter went to turn it over, not open it or anything that would have been remotely dangerous, and the second lady says to her very rudely, "you have to be 18 to touch the knives" Totally understandable especially if it's a young kid. This left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure that person should be working up front with people. other than that the store was clean, organized, & has lots of souvenir stuff plus more.

Ordered 4 large cold beverages for the kids... good stuff... would have given it a 5 star rating but... I received the beverages, received one straw when I asked for the other 3 straws the server gave me a dirty look and didn't even say thank you... not the best business etiquette

Classic spot to visit if you are in Old Forge. They have a great selection of all kinds of things. It's easy to get lost it's so massive!

Helpful wonderful folks at Ace have almost any tool you need. Great selection. Many a camper problem has been solved with a quick trip to the Department store.

Great lil hardware store for the middle of nowhere USA, has that small town, everyone knows your name type feel to it, the help is super friendly but seems to know when to leave people who seem to know what they're after alone and let them get what they need without the typical big store pushiness most places seem to just love. Would definitely recommend, even if there was another store, I'd recommend Old Forge Department store over somewhere else, but seeing as the next closest one is like 20+ miles, it's a 10 out of 10 recommend!!

They have a good amount of hardware and souvenirs. My only gripe, and this may be due to what I consider overreacting to COVID, is that there was a noticeable intolerance for my kids. It translated as being unfriendly. I recognize that many of the employees are in the demo for concern. If I was in their house, being strict is understandable. At the end of the day, it was inside a business. Some of us are struggling with the militant mask and socialist distancing behavior, and we expect a business we are supporting to be more friendly than before the nonsense ruined our society and its manners. I mean no vitriol in this message.
