Pretty decent location and a good Gyro platter. I went there because I was waiting for my appointment at the barbershop and I’m glad that I drop by. I moved into the area about two years ago and this is really the only Greek food place that stands out. Reminds me of the stuff I used to get in Queens.I only get take out but if I had some time I'd probably sit and eat there. The price is good and the portions are definitely generous. Very tasty. Food is prepped pretty quickly too.

Bought two plates of Chicken Gyro which were completely burned. We contacted the restaurant but were not willing to change or give partial credit. The amount they charged was $33.74 and was a complete waste of money. I tried to contact the owner by leaving a message but they didn't care to return the call. I would not give my business to this restaurant where they don't provide you service or stay behind their quality.

We ordered the family meal. Lamb/beef gyro and chicken 🐔 solvouki. There was a ton of food . Ordered a piece of spinach pie also which also was a huge piece and very delicious. I highly reccomend

Title: A Unique Dining Experience at Pete the GreekOn a quiet Sunday in late October, my wife and I visited Pete the Greek in Old Bethpage. Our anticipation for a traditional Greek dining experience met with a different reality. The restaurant's setting in a shopping strip brought a distinctive touch.The restaurant's ambiance diverged from the usual Greek-themed decor, presenting a more straightforward, deli-style environment. This setting, while different from what we expected, had its appeal. The ordering process was direct, with customers voicing their choices in an open, bustling atmosphere.Regarding the food, there was a mix-up with our soup order, where we received Lentil Soup instead of Chicken Lemon Soup. Although not what we initially wanted, the lentil soup was palatable with its subtle flavors. While satisfactorily prepared, the falafel didn't fully capture the rich, herby flavors typical of Mediterranean cuisine. The chicken shawarma was commendable for its well-seasoned, tender meat, offering a taste closer to traditional Greek fare. Though lacking the rich, honeyed flavor we've relished in other Greek establishments, the baklava was still a decent dessert.We rate Pete the Greek four stars. This rating reflects our appreciation for the restaurant's unique approach to Greek dining and its adequate culinary offerings, balanced against the areas where it diverged from our expectations of traditional Greek cuisine and ambiance.

Pete the Greek was fantastic. I visited here a few weeks ago for lunch around 11:30. The food was fresh, prepared well and tasty. We discovered it after driving by looking for a quick lunch. It was a great decision. It took a little long to get my food compared my companions but it was worth it the wait. I recommend this place.

Got the chicken kabob platter. Chicken was way overdone and dry. The lentil soup side was so salty it was not edible (for me at least). We also got the spicy feta dip and it had chunks of feta and was not creamy at all. I added a few slices of roasted peppers and some olive oil and blended it to get to the creamy dip texture it should be.Overall, was not a fan unfortunately.

Good combo platter with two choices of meat, salad and a choice of a side. I picked the pork gyro meat along with the lamb beef gyro. I choose the Quinoa as a side and was delicious as well as healthy. It had cranberries just like I like it. So if looking for a place with healthy choices in a fast food place this is definitely one.The choice of their Shirasha yogurt sauce was excellent along their pork spiced gyro.I was given their dessert pastry and it was filled with full nuts instead of the littles once is used to, not overly sweet , and the hint of cinnamon hit gave it and spices gave it a warm welcome to my taste buds.I’m definitely returning with family and friends to get a second helping to the Quinoa and Shirasha yogurt sauce.

I've been raving about Pete the Greek since Sunday 10/11/2020. I haven't had the liberty of having an authentic Gyro since the 80's. ( Souvlaki on 8th Ave , Time Square) . Great food - an absolute local gem. Owned by a local family, so eating here supports our neighborhood. It also is not extremely expensive, and the food quality is fantastic. The lemon potatoes, ooooh man!Parking: The spots are a little narrow, but there is plenty of them.

Please, please support this establishment. Not only is the food absolutely amazing, but it was also so reasonably priced. The portions are huge!!! I ordered two family meals for my son's family party and everyone raved about it. We had so much food with plenty left over.Gus helped me put the order together, but everyone that I dealt with, including the delivery guy was absolutely amazing.Can't wait to order from them again!!

My coworker put me onto this establishment recently. We called it in for delivery. They arrived in a timely manner. She usually orders salmon kale salad (mixture of kale and romaine, grilled salmon, chickpeas, tomato, cucumber, quinoa and lemon herb dressing) and so I had one as well and enjoyed it. It comes with a side of pita bread and other dressings for additional cost. For those who like falafel, that can also be added to a salad for an additional $5. Next time I'd like to dine in.

The Food is very tasty and plentiful I love the Chicken Shish Kabob platter which includes a good portion of Chicken, delicious Lemon potatoes and a Greek Salad. A small platter adequately feeds two people. Their Beef Lamb Gyro’s are huge and comes with additional Pita to make two sandwiches. Their service is impeccable. I have walked in to order and within minutes my order or ready. Very prompt without losing any quality and presentation. They wrap all their takeout meals so no spillage and maintains the food warm driving home. The only negative is when they are busy you can’t get through calling your order on your cell phone. Best to use online ordering or give your order in person.
