We went here early in the afternoon on the day of the solar eclipse. We ordered 30 chicken wings and a large seasoned curly fry. The fries were cooked perfectly. We tried three different sauces. Hot, house, and honey barbecue. The hot were more on the medium side. The house sauce I definitely enjoyed and would recommend to anyone trying their chicken wings. The honey barbecue was also good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you're in the area.

Our hostess/bartender/waitress, Mary, was all that anyone could ask for. She was kind, attentive (but not smothering), and knowledgeable about the menu, the village, and the idiosyncrasies of the building. Our food came quickly and was top-notch bar food. Seasoned curly fries and a burger for me and a wrap for my companion were flavorful without being too salty or soggy. 5/5 will visit again when I choose the Lake road home from Buffalo/Niagara Falls.

When you drive by local restaurants on off-season weekdays and there are a lot of cars outside, you should check them out. That’s how we found Maxwell Station. And I’m so glad we did! We got the French onion soup, wings, the beef pot pie and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and our server Brenda, who was working the whole place, which is not that small, was awesome! I don’t know how much she’s getting paid, but Brenda definitely deserves a raise.There was live music by McHenry and Baz, which was lovely and apparently lots of other things happen here, including a weekly Zumba class.

My GF and I stumbled across this place while chasing the sunset Friday night and we loved everything about it. The prices were good, the food was hot, delicious and made fresh to order. The atmosphere was unique and we loved it! Somehow we keep finding unique places like this without even trying 😊We will definitely be back!We had the burger, fries and chicken fingers. Oh- and got dessert to go, all homemade, coconut cream pie, blueberry pie with a perfect crumble on top and brownies. We highly recommend this place! Nom-nom-nom!

Went for dinner on a Monday night which conveniently was .50 wing night. they are for a variety of flavors and preparations for the wings which were great and I tried the House sauce and medium. Both were good with the house sauce being the stand out for me. It sort of had a honey sweetness to it but I can’t pin down one of the other flavors there. I could of taken the wings a bit crispier, but if I were to return I'd just asked for that next time. Despite how busy it was and a special for the night, it didn’t take long for the wings to come out.Also had a beer which was cheap. My service experience was pretty standard. I ordered at the bar and my food was brought to my table. They did check in on me at the table and I just paid at the bar when I was done eating. Note this place is cash only.

What in the hillbilly hell. The only take cash. OK I can deal with that... Ordered 2 kids meals a hamburger and a blt. With 2 appetizers. Poppers and fried pickles.... Took over an hour for food to come out.... Staff everywhere. (including their family and kids...) the bring out the poppers and a large fry. Never mentioning that they had no pickles. While waiting we had the pleasure of listening to a chorus of screaming children (the cooks kids) were the only patrons in the restaurant and they said there is a backup??. The struggle and confusion is real.... Oh there is also a random. Fly swatter hanging over our table yuk.

If you’re looking for a quaint small town experience, this is it. Drinks were well made, food was delicious with generous portions. We were told there were motel rooms to rent upstairs which were recently remodeled and clean. The entire experience was worth repeating. The only downside was cash only but they do have an ATM in the building.

A great place to eat. Food is awsome. I recommend the French Onion Sandwich or try the Pot Roast Burger! Its also a nice place to enjoy a cocktail. Full bar inside and rooms to rent.

I meet up with some friends in Olcott for their Saturday night cruise show. When it came time to eat my friends mentioned they had been at Maxwells a couple of weeks ago and the food was really good so we decided to go there. It was my first time and I wasn’t disappointed and can’t wait to go back!I decided to give the French Onion Sandwich a shot when I normally go conservative at a new restaurant and just get a burger or something common. Boy was I glad I did! The French onion Sandwich is to die for! It is a roast beef on rye sandwich topped with melted provolone cheese and covered with French Onion soup. It was so delicious I can’t wait to go get another! The old style saloon atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was great too! Highly recommend!

We've eaten at Maxwell Station Restaurant a number of times during our regular visits to Olcott Beach, but we sometimes wonder if maybe it's the best kept secret in Olcott. The weather was absolutely perfect on Saturday and we really enjoyed an excellent dinner on the outdoor deck at this restaurant. We both ordered the chicken fingers and sweet potato fries. The chicken fingers were delicious; crispy, tasty, and not at all oily. The portion sizes are big. A single serving of (three) chicken fingers doesn't sound like a lot of food, but three of them are probably enough for most people. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly and crispy. Our food was delicious, but our server Lily was simply amazing. Very pleasant, engaging, courteous, and very attentive, checking back with us several times during our meal to see how everything was or if we needed anything else. Both the food and the service were outstanding! Our check for two double orders of chicken fingers, one double order of sweet potato fries, and two beverages totaled $34, a bargain considering the amount of food we had left over and took home with us. Everything was flawless and absolutely no complaints. We've ordered their burgers during previous visits and they're also delicious, and reasonably priced as well.

You probably won't notice this place but you should. The food is worth the visit on its own. I had the French onion sandwich and it was full of flavor thanks to the cheese cap. My wife made the mistake of getting a double order of chicken fingers because a single order would have been too much for her to eat. They're huge and the garlic parm is amazing. We liked the natural wood with all there is too look at in the ceiling and on the walls and the varnished lumber tables and bar. And the bartender/waitress was on it taking care of everyone in the place like a pro.

We made our first stop here for the labor day weekend. Very nice bartender. Good prices and friendly atmosphere. Went back for breakfast the next morning. All the help called in sick, but the same bartender was there. Waiting on all the tables, smiling and doing a great job handling the crowd. Then the cook and another lady joined in. It was nice to see them all work together, be cool to the customers and show everyone what team work is about. Hats off to you ladies! You helped make it a wonderful weekend in Olcott.

Wanted a nice supper out...on a Monday or Tuesday with the wife...everywhere else was closed. Sat on outside patio...food was excellent...had 50 cent wings if eaten in...chicken and cheese casidillas were really good. Just a nice experience locally and was much easier on the pocketbook than others! Pleasant waitress also which is always a plus! We could see the sunset from patio as well...very nice.

I will definitely be going back.. the food was absolutely delicious, all the staff were very welcoming and friendly and so very helpful. The prices were good and the portions were huge! The food is really good and the prices are reasonable but OMG is it slow much of the time! Plan on an hour and be happy if it's faster. The cook needs glasses but is still in denial about it (been there, done that). So you see her up there squinting to read the order tickets and it can take forever to get your order. The staff are all friendly. The place is freakishly quiet, even when it's busy. I half expect a librarian to come up and "shush" us whenever we go there. Everyone speaks in a hushed tone because you know every other table can hear what your saying. Noise is not a bad thing in a restaurant. Over in the bar, the jukebox will play you song if it wants to. It's a coin flip. Otherwise it will just take your money.

We were staying at the motel there for the Pirate Festival. My wife and I went to the bar for a while,then meandered to a nearby table and had dinner with friends and fellow pirates.The food is really good and staff are so friendly, it's like being with family.

Great owners, bartenders and most of all the wings are cheap(.50 on monday) and the drinks are refreshing. A definite must go.

The food is great; however the bartender on Tuesdays is unwelcoming, unfriendly, inconsiderate, rude, & lacks manners... why she would even choose that type of work is beyond me. I believe in tipping for even the worst service, yet when it comes to her....save every penny!
