Great variety of goodies for my 4 legged son Duke, he wanted every toy on the shelf (like a boy sitting in a shopping cart) taking things off the shelf "mommy I want this" "oh look mommy I want this to" then giving me those puppy eyes with a grin. 😀 I went in for a few cans of wet food and a bag of dry. I left with that and 2 stuffed animals my boy wanted (from his grabbing them off the shelf. But I wouldn't want it any other way.But next time I come to Petco he's staying home.

One day I went to look for a Fish and as always you have to wait, but it is normal. The star is because they do not want to accept the price of the App or the Website, they simply told me we are not going to change the price. If they do it in another store, we don't care.Update : I went to look for food for my birds, I was searching on the app and comparing if they had it on the shelf, then a rude girl who works there comes up to me and tells me that I can't touch the product, she tells me just look at it and take it. . Also, I bought something in the app to pick up here, they simply told me to wait until I receive the notification that we have the product in this store, when I already had it in my hands. Then I tell him that the product is there and he tells me "you don't understand, we don't have him. I left to never return to this disgusting place with unprofessional people.

Love my local Petco in Baldwin, friendly and caring staff. Ashley does a great job grooming both our pups and Joe has helped with training with them. The aquatic dept has been very helpful with their advice in setting up 3 various size tanks. Vetco is convenient quick and help with keeping them healthy with update vaccines. All Petco care about their customers and furry friends!

The Petco around my way is always a wonderful shopping experience.The workers are not only knowledgeable but extremely friendly and so sweet to my dog when I do bring her in. I am always received well and always helped.

The workers are all friendly and the animals all have good care. When I come by to pick up cat food or litter I like to look at the reptiles and rodents and wish I could afford to take one home with me.

PSA: I took my chow to petco in Oceanside yesterday to get groomed at 2:00. My mom received a call at 5:30 saying that she was ready. During this phone call, they informed her that they had to shave my chow because she was matted. I don’t know how she could’ve been matted when I brush her every few days, but that’s besides the point. How could you shave someone’s dog without informing them first?! & they couldn’t even do it evenly!! She has bald spots all over. I am absolutely livid!!! Do not ever give their groomers your business.

Staff in this location are rude and unwilling to help. Asking them to do something a little bit beyond pointing the finger to someone/somewhere else, they make it seem like it was such a large inconvenience to them. It was so uncomfortable interacting with them. Most responses were really the bare minimum and really a fundamental lack of proactivity. It would be more helpful to interact with artificial intelligence then with these folks.

I went in for a dog choker because my dog Rocky pulls like no tomorrow and I didnt know what esle to try. Ralph went out of his way to show me the easy walk to deal with Rocky pulling. He took time and was explaining everything to me and I never felt rushed. The easy walk works great for Rocky and I. Thank you Ralph for going above and beyond. I truly appreciate it.

This location has rude staff, not the first time. The black girl in the register was so rude when I asked her about an item I wanted to buy. Where are the manners on this people now days! No greeting but just straight attitude from the ghetto or where are the franchise guidelines when hiring employees.

I was at this petco today with my mother !! And a red head staff I asked to assist seeing the hamsters told us we cannot hold the animals we said will take the hamsters she then began to interrogate us about the placement of where the hamster will be staying we told her in the cage we already have she asked to see the cage we showed her the cage in the store then she told us we will basically not be getting the hamsters and played petty games with us like we were not customers. We we then left and didn’t buy anything from there. We want to pet supplies plus and was treated COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY I RECCOMEND PET SUPPLIES PLUS THE SERVICE FEOM THAT RED HEAD AND THE STAFF AT PETCO ARE TREACHEROUS I’m very dissatisfied and disgusted

I wish there was more of a selection for kitten food. There was only 2 choices, 1 brand only had 3 cans (not just on the shelf but throughout the store) and the other brand was something I've never heard of. Both choices came out to well over $2/ can. My family recently adopted 2 kittens & I was hopeful my local store would have options. Instead, I have to drive a few towns over to get affordable kitten food with brand names I'm familiar with.

Do not book your grooming with Kenia. Canceled 2 weeks in a row. This time 30 mins before appointment as i was on my way. We made an appointment last week and it was cancelled. Rescheduled for this Saturday and we got a call from Petco literally as we were getting in the car with an appointment cancellation again mind you on a Holiday weekend. Also we were turned away from future grooming when asked how old the dog is. Really inappropriate. We made an appointment at a different groomer no problem but now waiting for a haircut for 3 weeks bc Petco canceled on us.

Can usually find anything I need for my dogs. Prices are inline with other pet stores. They definitely have less toy options. They offer training and grooming also.

Haircut itself was fine. Just in my view it was overpriced, and they tried to upsell me twice, and included this $6 fur disposal fee-that is absolutely ridiculous.

So we regulars in here and went in with some coupons we tried to use. There is a new assistant manager who clarified the policy for us that another manager told us different. Because of the discrepancy, Dale the new Asst manager gave us a bigger discount and is very personable. Had a great experience and hope he stays!

Has mostly what I look for every visit. Employees are friendly.In my personal opinion (although I never tried a class so take my word for a grain of salt), I do not recommend the dog training program. The woman is always shouting. It might seem effective, but you don't need to shout at your dog to get their attention. You can find great training tools online and a lot of times you and your dog just need patience and consistency to get the training down.

Terrible experience with grooming service. Have been coming to another location for years until they closed. Not one complaint from the groomers regarding dog's behavior. At Oceanside, NY, we experienced highly disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from one particular groomer, inability to connect to the dog or even take an interest to learn about dog's behavior. Honestly, why to choose this line of work? Supervisor was not much help, instead of resolving an issue, tried to hide behind store policy. I am never coming back !!!

The fish section was horrifying so many tanks with masses of dead fish in them. One or two in a few tanks us understandable. The level at which we saw shows real neglect and we would never get any fish from the Oceanside location.

Went here to purchase few things for my dog. The manager (guy) was very rude to me. I wanted them to price match a product they sell online which was on sale but not In store. I told his if he can’t do it’s fine but he chose to go on lecturing me about how I need to buy it online and not in store and that he was not supposed to do that and so on… Won’t shop at this location again would rather drive to baldwin.
