There is something to be said for local shops. I bought the wrong paint and James and Vicky were so accommodating and friendly and helped me out in the return of a custom paint. While we were doing the return and processing the new paint, we shot the breeze and got to know each other. Ill go here first for any home needs I have for the next 20 years. People make a company. And all customers want these days is a sense of community and nice people to talk to. A nice chat and friendly smiles reminded me of why I love living here. Give these two a nice Christmas bonus - they earned a customer for life for your business. Honestly.

The guy behind the desk was nothing but nice, now the guy with the goggles was nasty he even gave me a slick remark and i said to myself u kno what if i let this guy with goggles get me fired up i automatically loose..whoever owns this joint you should def fire that dude ..

They were very helpful with finding a couple of screws and nuts, as well as getting several bags of bird seed. They even carried all the birdseed out to my car for me. Very friendly.Update... I got there just before closing time yesterday, for another five bags of bird seed. The owner had one of his workers get all that bird seed out of his stock area and carry them right out to my car and put them in my trunk.

I Have to say thanks to the owner and staff at the Ace hardware store. They very attentive.Heck as soon as I stepped out of my car Danny ( staff) asked " hey you called for charcoal "?Wow! I said yes. Much appreciated. There's a lot to be said about supporting your local hardware store. Thanks 😊

They are very knowledgeable and have the best prices anywhere on Weber Grills. We got free assembly and local delivery. We also got our Benjamin Moore Paint from them. Right now I am on my way to get my Propane tanks filled. We love having this local store. Thanks Guys!

I've lived in the neighborhood for 10 years. I usually find what I want/need right here. No need to go to the big box store. Paint, screens repaired, keys, tools, garbage pails and parts to name a few. No issues, no worries! Im glad they're around the corner.

The owner needs to realize that in order for him to be successful and compete with larger stores he needs to change his ways. Long story short I purchased a dimmer switch in which I opened the packaging. Apparently once you open the package you can't return it. Guess what buddy, your HD or Lowes will take the item back and re-sell or return back to the manufacturer. That is just the cost of doing business. I try to shop local but I will not be shopping here anymore.

Hey everyone, this place has pretty much what they should have as a local hdw store. Yes a little pricey and closes early but what's the alternative, Brinkmanns' Sayville where they have everything you don't need and no help? When you get it your treated like you're shoplifting . Price wise Oakdale's a dollar store. I live a half a mile away and avoid it but they're open till 8 pm so. 5 stars for Oakdale !

Ordered a new Weber grill 05/22/17 promised it within two weeks . Hounded them until 06/22/17 when they finally came to deliver it on 06/24/17, where they promptly dropped it while unloading. Told the driver I was refusing delivery and he still tried to bring a bent scratched unit into my backyard. Had to actually say the words " I'm not kidding I'm not taking delivery of a scratched bent unit" . Whereupon my answer was " where is it scratched and I bent the panel back. I'll order you a new panel." You just dropped a gas fed unit from two to three feet and you really think the only thing that happened was the panels fell off and bent. Called the place and they told me they would take care of it. Still have not heard from them as to how. The customer service there is atrocious at best, negligent at the least and they want premium money for being your neighborhood hardware store. You would think an apology for the delay or the way the delivery was handled would be appropriate, evidently hey do not.

I was never a believer in hardwares stores .I now go all the time the staff here is A plus .You may pay a little more then home depot but I like this place and would rather give my money to these guys then Blows! (Lowes)

Don't ever bother going there if your showing up just before they close. This guy doesn't stay a minute late. He yelled at my wife that he was closed and it was 5 minutes before they actually closed.
