If you want to enjoy food made with love and with the taste that only grandma's have so then Yellow Deli it's your place. It's my favorite place I live in the neighborhood and since I moved here it's been my favorite place, waffles are heavenly, the daily soups and chili are the best in ny state, the sandwiches are so fresh and not to mention the cold teas, mango mate, hibiscus, I recommend this place to everyone who visits the Catskills

Great all day breakfast and food spot. Come hang out relax in the lodge like scenery with handcarved wood accents. Nice people and caring service :)The food is good and hearty yet has also healthy options like carrot juice, dandy blend lattes and smoothies. The tiny fruit salad was surprisingly soo good! And the reuben sandwiches are my go to here. I love bougie upscale hipster spots yet there is something about getting a quality n AFFORDABLE meal in a cute themed scenery that really fits the mountain vibe.I have been to other locations in colorado and im happy i spotted this one on the map. Worth the drive. Dont expect too much going on in this small town of durham though.

What a beautiful, delicious, and relaxing experience. As soon as you walk in, you’re transported to a magical stress free whimsical atmosphere. The decor of the place was amazing. The service was outstanding, we were well received and attended to the whole time. Now let’s get to the food, EVERYTHING we had was delicious…the veggie burger, the soup, the salmon sandwich, chicken sandwich, and all the drinks were great. The decided to go the next day to have breakfast and wow! All the ingredients were fresh…the bread, waffles, maple syrup were all locally grown. You can definitely taste how fresh everything was. What a pleasant time we had.

I'm in love. The ambience is magical, it's like being in a homey hobbit animated fantasy world, the music fits perfectly the incredible wooden design... we were in the terrace right next to the forest and the river 💚 Sahara was so so sweet! ^^ oh and don't get me started with the food... here I had one of the best veggie burgers ever, and I have tried many. This one was: per-fect.The drinks were delightful, I had a dandelion tea with oatmilk, tasted almost like hot chocolate with hazelnut, so cozy, and the apple cider was awesome, they even gave us some samples to try, delicious. The juices are all natural, there are so many appealing options you don't know what to choose. The ingredients overall are natural and everything is hand made!You can just feel the love they put into it.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

If you are like me and and live in the area , You get a lot of Friends and Family who come to visit. I love showing them around the amazing area that is the Catskills and the Capital Region and then taking them out to Lunch or Dinner.After showing off our beautiful county sides, mountains and Waterfalls I am always looking for a unique place to take people that really screams country living and the Yellow Deli is just the place!Soon as you walk in you are amazed by all the wood work and the country feel of the place, The food is delicious and the prices are more then fair. I for one highly recommend this as a place to take anyone who is visiting from out of the area or just as a daily place to stop by for a Great meal. The owners and staff are also very friendly to talk with and will show you around.I will see you there!!!

Love this place . I've been going to it when it was the common ground. Love the atmosphere and staff is always pleasant.Try the namesake common ground.The Chilli was really good.The waffles are big.The carrot cake good.Their hike sandwich was tastey.I've never had anything bad from here.Vegetarian options: Had vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Just ask, they are accommodating.Kid-friendliness: They were kind to all my little marmots.

So anybody else ever seen, a restaurant with nothing but 5 star reviews. That's pretty rare. You know why that happened because this restaurant is run by the 12 tribes cult. A pretty terrible call. There's actually a very long FBI report about them and all the child molestation. Child abuse child labor sexism, racism homophobia. Antisematism They were even Responsible for colorado's worst wildfire of all time burning over six thousand acres , the martial fire Burned to the ground 1802 homes in the process. Don't eat here, these are not good people. You don't have to believe me. There's an fbi report and plenty of documentation on these people. Yes, it's very quaint, the food might be good. They might seem like nice people but do not support this. This is not a good thing. The reason I gave it a 5 star rating. Is because you wouldn't see it if I gave it a one star rating

We found this place very randomly on our trip upstate. It was very close to our Airbnb and we decided to check it out. It’s sooo lovely! The decor is just out of this world! And hospitality was awesome too. I’d highly recommend going there!

We skied windham this past week and stayed not too far from the yellow deli. What an amazing place . The atmosphere is something to see. The food was excellent and the service was great . Don’t miss stopping here for breakfast or dinner when you’re up this way .Dietary restrictions: Serving gluten free food as well .

“One step into The Yellow Deli and you’ll feel you’ve been transported to a simpler time…” I visited the Oak Hill location and can confirm that having a bowl of chili after a stressful day can indeed help your mental state. The jalapeño bread was baked to perfection, the assortment of teas were wonderful. I had a walk in group of 6, the staff and kitchen are polite and efficient. What a pleasure it was to have exceptional comfort food on a day it snowed :) I hope our paths cross again Oak Hill, stay blessed

An unexpected gem. There is nothing you cannot appreciate there: you are first hit by the original interior design that is cozy and trendy, then you are greeted by staff who is cordial and hipster, and finally treated to a meal that is delicious and healthy. You'll want to embrace all of it and not share... :) Some of the warmest personal memories there.

It is, by far, the cutest and cozies restaurant in entire Catskill area. Food is simple but delicious! We come here at least 10 times a year when we come to our weekend home in Northern Catskill. Staffs are always super friendly. It is truly a gem!!!

Unique wholesome food with artisan interior design that has to be experienced. Wood carved tables and settings that a Journeyman carpenter would be proud of. The food and service makes you feel right at home👍

I’m saddened to see reviews claiming this establishment it’s ran by a “cult” just because people can’t accept someone’s lifestyle and their lack o tolerance thereof. I stayed in East Durham cabin back in 2019, the yellow deli, aside from having great food, their atmosphere is one of a kind, they made feel VERY welcomed and at peace within myself and space. I haven’t gotten that experience elsewhere. The restaurant it’s beautiful and I was very happy to learn about their history. Keep it up !

This deli is the most beautiful deli I've ever been to. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing, down to earth people. Very quiet and peaceful place to eat with a beautiful view of a creek in the back. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and amazing service. Will visit again soon!

Really delightful place. Name is a bit of a misnomer as it is a sit-down restaurant, but the inside is very distinctive and you'll want to take some time to enjoy it. Food is simple but very good and freshly made. Don't miss the on-tap root beer.

Despite the fact that it is owned by a cult that supports racism, slavery, and more, The Yellow Deli has much to offer in the department of food and atmosphere. The bread is to die for. I got the chef’s salad and it was so incredibly fresh and delicious! My friend got the turkey sandwich and said it was the best sandwich they ever had. Service was very slow, but our sweet waitress Sahara made up for it. love that bish
