These people literally saved my life. I was traveling between states when my glasses flew out the window of my car and got crushed by the car behind me. I don't have health insurance or a second pair and I immediately began panicking. The eye glass store right next to them told me they could not help me and their eye exam was 80 dollars just for me to get my prescription. I approached the staff at Cohen's, informed them of my situation and they all immediately began brainstorming on how to get me a pair of glasses then and there, going as far as calling other stores to help me. I paid 59 dollars for my exam and walked out with glasses 20 minutes later after I purchased frames. To say I would have been absolutely hopeless without them is an understatement. They went above and beyond for me, a total stranger who was just passing through. I will always be grateful for their help, they saved my entire trip in a matter of an hour. The entire staff deserves a raise, they are amazing, kind and compassionate people and I would have been lost without their help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Got my first multi focal contacts here and love them although vision is not perfect it’s so much better than before. I hate not being able to see close up when putting my contacts in, so this is such a relief. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Dr Louis and dr Mann we’re both excellent opticians.

My daughter was visiting from Florida and needed to replace her eye glasses because they were damaged. I took her to Cohen’s Fashion Optical and we were able to get a same day examination as well as new pair of glasses all within an hour. The owner is an absolute gentleman and treated us like vip guest in his store. I recommend this store to anyone looking to get exceptional service and reasonably priced products. My daughter was so happy with her new pair of glasses.

I highly recommend Cohen’s Fashion Optical. I had a exceptional eye exam by Dr. Mann and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Great customer service. I had a problem with my eye glass frames and the manager immediately changed my frames. They all were great there and I highly recommend them.

I always used to get my eye glasses from next door, but this time around decided to use Cohen’s instead. Had my exam and glasses done there. Great experience all together. I needed my eyeglasses since I lost mine over the weekend. One hour service actually turned out to be completed in under 30 minutes. Loved it! I certainly will be back. Just an update to my earlier review. Needed service on my glasses which I bought here early this year. The fix was painless and swift. Super happy overall.

I made a same day vision test appointment because I needed to submit paper work to the DMV. It was so quick and easy to make an appointment online. They called promptly to confirm my appointment. There was a slight wait but the doctor, Dr. Mann, was amazing. She was so easy to talk to and made me feel so comfortable. She was very thorough and I walked out feeling really thankful for such a good experience. The man (who I think was the owner) and the woman were also very kind. They sent in my vision test results to the DMV. And they let me know about their sales but did not pressure me into buying glasses at their location. They made it clear that it was completely up to me. Thank you!

I’ve gone to Cohen’s Fashion Opticalseveral times with my significant other. Joan always assisted my significant other. Every time we visited the store , Joan was friendly , professional and accommodating. Joan thoroughly knows the business of insurance, and assisting a client about their specific needs. Upon our last visit we met a young man name Fareed. My significant other needed an eyeglass case. A few cases didn’t fit my S.O. eyewear. Most sale representatives would have given up. Fareed went the extra mile to find a case that matched for my S.O. eyewear. I was impressed by his diligence, commitment and professionalism. I made sure I told him this we appreciated his service 😊

Amazing amazing amazing! This place genuinely cares about the patient. The eye exam was thorough and the doctor really took the time to make sure my prescription was going to be perfect. They also have an amazing selection of glasses you know you’ll find the perfect pair for you, and I even got mine in two days! I always look forward to my eye check ups!

Joan at the Palisade Mall store was fantastic! She was extremely professional, helpful and friendly, even before I went to the store. I had called over 10 eyewear stores beforehand to learn about various pricing and options, and Joan's friendly manner over the phone won me over. I arrived late for my appointment due to the traffic on HWY 287, but the doctor waited for me patiently. When I got to the store, Joan patiently explained various options, waited for me to try on many frames (over an hour!) and gave suggestions, and went far and beyond to satisfy my needs. My glasses were ready a couple days later, and I picked up on Aug 10, 2018. During my pick up, Joan made sure everything fitted well. I had a pleasant experience in her store, will come back!

I have never had such a pleasant experience purchasing glasses. There was no wait and a large variety of options to choose from. Joan and Peter we’re extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was also able to pick up my glasses in 20 minutes which was an added bonus. Brought my father to get his progressive glasses. He was never happy with any other pairs he ever got. Well this place was able to finally got him his best progressive glasses. Not only are the lenses best fitted and top quality but the doctor and service were just wonderful and best you could wish for! Highly highly recommend, if got those FSA dollars sitting around this will be your absolute best bet for glasses upgrade for years to come!

Had my glasses done there with progressive lenses and they totally nailed it. From my previous experiences I know that prescription is not easy to fill. Fast turnaround and competent service. They also worked with me on the price to make sure it is covered by my insurance plan.

Everything and everyone at this location, was just amazing. First off, I walk into the store and IMMEDIATELY I felt the good vibes of a great customer service was already enveloping the entire store. I was approached by one of the associates (terribly sorry but I'm bad with names) I forgot her name but I will offer her I.D.3752 (these are the last four). Anyways she immediately approached me with a great service and introduction. She used her expertise and presented me with a great selection for glasses based on my preference..then suddenly I was approached by every other available associate to offer their opinion on the selection of glasses chosen. Like I said I'm bad with names but the females that were working between the hours of 12:30pm and 2:00pm were just EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND AMAZING. Forgot to mention I arrived early for my appointment so the doctor available was funny and very very knowledgeable on EVERYTHING. Like I said what the consumer expect is great customer service. CUSTOMER SERVICE....THEY OFFERED AN AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I felt the warm welcome of Cohen's Fashion Optical (By the way I remembered their old school commercial lol). But once again I entered the store with a great customer service and I left happy with the service they provided me.

I had a great experience at Cohen's today! I went on my lunch break and was in and out in about 30 minutes, after a great eye exam and then getting a great pair of glasses for a great price. The salesmen was very helpful and made it so much easier! Everyone there was great. I will recommend this place to others!

Great customer service! Ronza was great she helped me with everything i wanted quick and easy. She knew exactly what would look good on me and made it a really easy process. She said I would receive the glasses in about 7-10 Buisness days and i received them about 4 days later which was amazing for someone who just broke their glasses and couldn’t see a thing. I disagree with negative reviews here! I had an eye exam this past October with Dr.Erica (not sure of her last name), she was very thorough and answered all my questions. I got a beautiful pair of eyeglasses for under $100. I'm happy and would definitely go there again. Much cheaper than Lenscrafters. Didn't have any service issues and got my glasses on time. Oh yea and everyone was very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Had to take a minute to share the great experience I had at the Cohen's optical in the Palisades mall - the sales person was friendly and knowledgeable - she didn't even mind that I wasn't planning to buy new frames, I only needed a new prescription and lenses. I was able to see the optometrist immediately (without an appt), she was super nice and thorough. The new lenses were perfect, affordable and available quickly.

Extremely disappointed with Cohen's Fashion Optical. I had a great first impression, however it somewhat ended there. I came here in February in a snowstorm due to severe vision issues. I was suddenly unable to see my computer screen and having double vision. They were able to get me right in. My insurance paid for the exam and part of my new glasses. I wasn't sure at the time if glasses were going to correct my issue so I didn't want to jump right into contacts as well. The glasses did seem to help so I decided to inquire about contacts. This was less than a month after getting my glasses. I was fitted several times with contacts, different brands, all with the same result. Extreme discomfort. Each appointment I explained I was still having double vision, looking for professional advice. The doctor I saw had absolutely nothing to say and just proceeded to do the same tests over and over and saying my eyes were fine. He was completely dismissive of my issues. After the third pair of contacts I decided this was not going to work, I was in so much discomfort from the contacts I wanted to cry. All the doctor had to say was they are sitting properly in your eye. He didn't ask what the discomfort was, and when I tried to explain he spoke over me and wouldn't hear anything I had to say. My assumption was that I could use the money I had to spend up front for the contact exam towards a pair of prescription sunglasses. Not the case. Basically I paid about $140 for a second exam a few weeks after my first and walk away with nothing. Had I known up front if the contacts did not work out I would be out that money, I may have considered waiting. There is no guarantee that contacts are for everyone. How can there be a policy if your not happy with your glasses you can receive credit, but if contacts don't work for someone they have now paid for absolutely nothing. I am extremely disappointed with the experience I have had, not only in regards to the receptionist , but the doctor as well. Please consider going somewhere with doctors that have better listening and communication skills and that value their client more. Glad you lost a client and future business instead of applying my now wasted money towards a pair of prescription sunglasses.

I had broken my eyeglasses and when I went to the store they fixed my existing glasses for me. I got an eye exam and ordered new glasses that same visit. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Tatiana checked my insurance coverage & found discounts for my exam & the new glasses. I would definitely recommend this store.

Purchased three sets of glasses for my family about a month ago. Everyone is happy and most importantly the prescriptions are accurate. I will definitely be back next month for contacts. It's been years since I've found an optician that can properly correct my vision. Selection of frames is great and insurance covered part of my bill. Highly recommended.

The doc Is great but received unpleasant attitude over the phone and for that reason I will never return. I’ve gone there for a few years now and when my prescription expired, I called to see what availability they had. She tried to tell me they have no record of my previous exams and prescriptions, which was just untrue. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she rudely said she’d call back and never did. To me, customer service is everything, and that completely killed my experience at this location, no matter how nice the doc is.

I walked into Cohens Optical and received outstanding customer service from Onur! He was very helpful and I was able to walk out with a pair of glasses the same day. My entire family comes here for our eyeglasses and we’ve always left satisfied. I would recommend anyone in the Rockland county area to pay a visit it’ll be worth it.
