Barkfield is hands down the best local pet store you’re going to find! Everyone who works there treats my dog like a VIP. No joke, we even walked a red carpet there. This is a great place with amazing food and toys. I became a loyal customer after realizing they focus on high quality ingredients (our dog food is made with OLIVE OIL!!)..Their knowledge and passion shine through, guiding me to top-quality products that keep my pup healthy, happy and shiny. Thanks to everyone at Barkfield, my dog's tail is wagging, and I couldn't be happier!

The best!!! We recently celebrated our dogs 13th birthday. They made the most amazing cake. The team also put together beautiful goodie bags for all the doggies that came to the birthday party. I’m so happy that we found Barkfield Road. If you’re looking for food for your baby, treats, or want to have a fabulous party like we did, please go to them!

I love everything about this amazing place! The vibe, the people, the products. Their service has always been incredible. The individualized care that you get for your fur baby is truly above any other store on Long Island or online. Whether you come here with your furry friend for a treat or alone, you will always find something for your canine friend that will not only make their tail wag longer and happier, but also healthier. From puppies to our senior babies, there is something for everyone. Barkfield has the most amazing staff too! They know that your fur baby is your top priority. They always take the time to help you find what you are looking for, so why go anywhere else?

Barkfield is the best place I’ve found for my pup! They have such great toys and treats, my dog gets so excited to go there! They have a bakery and I got my dog his Halloween birthday cake from them! They perfected the idea that I had in mind and brought it to life! AND my sweet pup loved it!!!!!! They’re all super kind and helpful and I’ve already recommended them to everyone I come in contact with that has a dog!! Will forever be a returning customer!

As soon as we approach “the plaza” on the corner of Pulaski Rd and Larkfield Rd, Edie and Frankie both know where we’re going. BARKFIELD ROAD where they are treated like superstars and spoiled by every employee they meet. They are allowed to pick out their own treats and toys. As well as double check inventory and sometimes assist with quality control. The store is always clean and organized. The employees always friendly and helpful. The choices of snacks and food are top quality and fresh. The clothing supplies and toys are also great. Prices are reasonable for the quality and freshness you’re getting. If you don’t see something. Ask. They’ll probably be able to special offer it for you. Edie and Frankie both give BARKFIELD ROAD “four paws” all around.

Barkfield Road is a one of a kind pet store. They treat your pet like family and have everything you buy in their system. I bought the Ucari sensitivity test for my pup who has struggled for six years with food allergies. After getting the results I changed his diet and he is like a new dog! It was the best 80 dollars I spent . The staff is knowledgeable and so caring. I highly recommend this pet store!

I learn something about my dog every time I visit. Everyone is welcoming. I had many questions about my dog and her allergies. Caitlyn the manager found great turkey based products that seem to agree with my 9 month old puppy. Every person that I have met at Barkfield Road has been helpful and generous with their time. They have given me free samples to try which after purchasing so many different products that my pup likes for just a minute, have been so helpful. The prices are always good and the selections are excellent. I have a great feeling when I go into Barkfield that I will make great food choices.My dog is now over a year old. She's sweet and smart and a very fussy eater. I love to go to Barkfield Road to find those special treats and products for my Zoey. I'm always greeted warmly by everyone. I feel like I'm visiting friends. I also get an education because I have many questions that they always answer.There are many stores for dog supplies, but this one is special. I live about a half hour away. It's worth the trip every time.

The new owners of Barkfield Road are wonderful! Carol was so knowledgeable and personable and must've hand-picked her successor to carry on those qualities and more. I love the younger generation's tech savvy - the emails, promotions, and social media presence. Caity (and Anna, too!) is so helpful, quick, & responsive. Best of luck with the business and keep up the great work!!! I have a hound at home, a shepherd at work, and two Labrador "nephews" so we'll be frequent shoppers!

At the risk of sounding super snobbish but this is where you go, OCCASIONALLY, when you want to treat your dog. They have a beautiful assortment of treats, toys, and birthday cupcakes that look much more appealing than run-of-the-mill doggie treats. A great store with a great selection

Love this place! I've been coming for years and there has always been really high quality clothes, toys and food for pets. The owners are very knowledgable about animals and all the items they sell. My dog especially loves the freeze dried mussels and the adorably decorated cookies!

Great shop- great owners. I went in looking for healthy alternatives for raw and frozen foods for my dogs. The owners took time explaining the differences. I found a new hidden treat game for them and lots of healthy treats. Overall, 10/10. I’ll definitely be back!!

Highly recommend!!! I walked in one day and needed help choosing a new food as my dog transitioned from ‘puppy’ to ‘big dog’ food (he’s a 10 pounder). The team at Barkfkeld Road are both nice and knowledgeable. They helped me pick a new food which my dog LOVES. They only sell the best brands and the highest quality foods. They also have helped me with other good for him snacks and of course a toy, a new harness for the car, and other must haves. The pricing Is great and is the same I can get it on Amazon , but the personal attention is what makes both me and Bodie coming back. So glad to have them in the neighborhood!!
