Such a cute hotel nestled in the heart of North Creek! Great location right in town so you can walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel has lots of rooms, ample parking, and amenities. The hotel room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comes with everything you need. Our stay was beyond memorable thanks to Karesha! She is the kindest person ensuring we had everything we needed and offering suggestions of places to eat and things to do in the area. Karesha, you are truly a gem of a person and we are beyond thankful to have met you!

I’d seen a range of reviews and decided to filter results to Recent to see if that would clarify the muddied picture. With strong recent reviews, I decided to book, and I’m so pleased I did. We had a fabulous stay!! The facility has been taken over by a new owner and they’ve inherited some issues; I’m confident that they’re going to continue with some important updates and I look forward to returning. We got some good work done in the grand common room with the fireplace and took advantage of the tennis court and gym. One small frustration was getting a live person on the phone in advance of the stay. After speaking with staff, I believe that they’ll be prioritizing that as well. Natasha was especially helpful and understands how important customer service is. Overall, I highly recommend the Phoenix Inn!

Upon arrival no one at front desk, just an envelope with our information for room code and a bunch of rules/directions that made no sense at all. Upon entering room there were dead bugs everywhere on bed and carpet, counted 40+. Requested to move to another room. Both rooms had one window out and replaced with a piece of wood with a dehumidifier vent hose run out but nothing to secure it in the opening in the wood piece.Sink had a crack all the way from top to drain. Dust and cobwebs around room. Beds were worn, carpeting old, wall paper peeling, used soap from previous guest still in shower, dust ruffles for king beds used on queens and laying on floor. No microwave in room so went to use one provided in lobby area and it was tiny and filthy, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Absolutely disgusting. Front desk staff was not friendly, seemed inconvenienced. Way overpriced for the quality and amenities, or lack thereof. Building has a lot of potential but a long way to go to be a good resort. Barely a 1 star resort at this point.

The location, friendly staff, and the restaurant are the good things about this hotel. I arrived to my new room, after the room I had previously booked was unavailable, and the first thing I noticed was the bathroom was filthy. The toilet was not cleaned and one of the most disgusting things I have seen. The king bed in the suite was awful. We could feel every spring in the mattress. I did not say anything because I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since they are under new management. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful and the bartenders in trappers were just as amazing. When it came time to pay, I was charged $400 for the room change and the credit was not applied that I was promised from the original room not being available. It took 2 weeks for me to finally be refunded the money. I had to continuously call to ask about the refund and was always told the new owner was unavailable and I was unable to contact her. The people I was able to talk to were wonderful and helpful to the extent that that they could be. The new owners have made this into a place we will never stay in again. I was disappointed and disgusted with the way that the new owners are handling their business.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our one year anniversary, may I tell you it is the best place to stay. Not only was it quiet and not surrounded by children. Me and my boyfriend were able to explore the area around us. Natasha, the new owner is amazing, and was really well rounded when it came to us getting our stay here. At first I was booked in a room with two separate beds for our anniversary but she quickly change that for is to have one big king size room!! Although the pool and the Jacuzzi, we’re being reconstructed ,the gym and sauna, was a big surprise ! Unfortunately, me and my boyfriend did not use it but we will!! My boyfriend and I cannot wait to come back in August to see what more Natasha and her team plan to do. Best wishes ~Angely T & Ian RWalkability: There’s a literally so much space to walk and drive! It’s so easy and accessible and at night it is so Chris and quiet you can literally sit in the road!Food & drinks: If you definitely wanna visit a place to eat visit Barvino! It is a great place with really good chicken wings and fancy entrées plus the best wine tastings in North Creek:))

It was a nice relaxing stay. They were very kind to my family. We had a long 4 hour drive, got in late and 10 minutes to the restaurant closing, they made dinner possible for us in a beautiful courtyard setting. We were not rushed or made to feel like a burden.Overall, The owners were very attentive to details. This made our stay pleasant. The staff and waitresses/bartender was sweet. The attached restaurant was good. We had a excellent time!!!

Hotel is very clean and smells very nice upon entering. Diana was very attentive to our needs and accommodated us very nicely with our stay. She was just fantastic. I cant say ebough nice things about this place. Great location very quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be staying here again. The bed was super comfortable. Had a king size room. Very nice layout and we had the perfect view of the pool. The jacuzzi was nice and warm and was so relaxing to sit in. Right across the street withing walking distance is revolutionary rail co. Highly recommend as well.

I stayed with my family for two nights. It is pretty, old fashion I felt I was in England! Friendly staff and a decent restaurant in premise. It is only 2 minutes from Gore, Tops and a few nice restaurants are jut within walking distance. Very nice and convenient!

The rating might be higher if I paid less, but I honestly expecting more. We booked a weekend to ski because snow was coming in and we also ate in the restaurant.Pros: close to everything, large rooms, and generally friendly service. Cons: no housekeeping unless requested, there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee cups, only ice machine in the hotel was broken, there was no way to adjust the temp in room (no thermostat), restaurant menu online is NOT actual menu, food in restaurant was subpar at best, and they only half cleared the parking lot of snow (after two days and the other parking lots in town were pristine).Like others have said, I’d expect this from a cheaper hotel (and been mostly fine with it), but at this price point I expected a lot more. We were only there to ski and sleep and the rooms were comfortable, but if I was there for the “resort” experience I’d be irate. I love North Creek and know there aren’t many options in the area, I was just hoping by springing for a more expensive “luxury hotel” for my family for the first time, I’d be getting more. I literally stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn earlier in the week for work in Vegas and spent a lot less for so many more amenities that I find it ridiculous Phoenix is charging well over $200/night.

Rooms were big and clean. Nice sitting area up front. Helpful and pleasant staff. I loved the little book that was in the room for guests to read. Very nice touch.

Avoid this place if you can save your money! we stayed here over February break 2023 and from all advertised amenities listed all of which were unavailable right down to the hot tub and ice machine being outta order as well as no restaurant or room service. We also had no hot water to shower and there was hair and dirt and bugs in our bedding. Also the fridge had dirt and bugs in it. I’d expect this kinda stuff from a flea bag motel at 60 a night not a 3 to 4 star hotel at 220 a night. When I addressed it to the hotel staff they showed no concern and would not do anything about it

Here is the truth. A group of us stayed there over Labor Day weekend as our friend was getting married not far away. 1. The lady at the front desk, not friendly at all. She was very rude. 2. The keys to the rooms, NEVER worked. We ALWAYS had to go get new keys to get into the rooms. Once was "after hours" and the lady wasn't happy she had to come in to give us a new key. 3. I'm happy they provided coffee in the rooms, but for the price we paid, it shouldn't have been Great Value brand coffee. I wasn't expecting gourmet by any means, but to offer coffee from WALMART in a "4 Star Hotel"...come on, do better. 4. One of us broke out in hives because of something in the hotel itself. Not sure if it was the bedding or what, it was BAD! 5. When we left on Sunday, the lady chased us out into the parking lot accusing us of stealing something which we absolutely DID NOT steal! We have time stamps and everything from when said item was gotten and she tried to argue with us. We checked out and left. If you want to stay somewhere, don't stay here.

Very disappointed with our stay. Hot tub was out of order ice machine was out of order. Our bed was visibly lumpy and very uncomfortable. Stains on the sheet. Broken lamp and tub handle. Tv had lines while watching. There were kids around 10-12 years old running about the hole places playing tag screaming and yelling and no one saying anything. Their extra packages for romance was not offered at that time. Their restaurant was GROSS with like 5 food options. Woke up 1 morning staying there with no HEAT OR HOT WATER! Wish I was told new owners took over before checking in would have went somewhere else.

Disappointing for the price we paid...I love supporting local business over national chains though I feel the need to leave a review for other people who will be experiencing a similar stay...My girlfriend and I are not from the area but we booked a couple nights here for a weekend ski trip we had planned with some pals over at Gore Mountain. This hotel caught our eye right off the bat. The prices were steep (over $200 a night - weekend after presidents day weekend) though the website made the hotel look luxurious - hot tub, saunas, pretty facilities, and a free shuttle to the mountain.Perfect. We were excited for our weekend of skiing and relaxing. However, we were met with the key word of this review: disappointment. We were greeted by a girl at the front who set the tone early. She had no information about the shuttle when we asked (she said she was new and didn't know - which is totally fine) but she also didn't tell us our door lock for the room was busted and there was a code for a deadbolt lock being used above the jank door lock instead... I used to install hotel locks for a living so I'm pretty much the last guy you want seeing this mess of a door lock lol... they really need to upgrade to RFID locks and lose the magnet strips.I went back to get some help and I overheard the girl tell the next family the hot tub was not open... great... we were looking forward to the hot tub after the long drive and after skiing the next day so this was a huge bummer for us. The website says seasonal hot tub but we thought this was a seasonal ski resort, guess we should of called and confirmed but sad nonetheless. When we got into the room it was large but super drab. Dark greens and browns, no life in the room at all. Room was all carpet, thermostat was older than we are, and those toilets... what are those??? Bed wasn't really that comfortable either. So far the hotel is bumming us out.We saw online there were saunas so hey, lets check em out, maybe we can find something relaxing we can do together as a couple since there's no hot tub. Well, as the theme goes, we were met with more disappointment. The saunas are in the gym area but there is one in the men's bathroom and one and the woman's . Are we supposed to just sit in our own saunas alone?? Not fun and at this point we were not happy with the choice we made. The next morning before we went off to hit the slopes there was a new girl up front so we decided to ask her about the shuttle. The free shuttle they have noted online was the other big draw for us choosing this hotel. Leaving our car behind and hitting the mountain where we could have a drink or two sounded great. But I am sure you can guess what happens next. We were told the hotel SOLD THEIR SHUTTLES and they no longer provide that service. We told the girl we chose this hotel because of the shuttle (maybe they will compensate us??) but we were only told they will look into their website.Great. The mountain is literally 5 minutes away so its hard to complain too much but it was still - say it with me now- a disappointment. We were ready to forget about the hotel and enjoy the mountain, the true reason we were there. We wanted a quick bite to eat before hand, and we were sure a hotel charging over $200 a night would offer breakfast so we asked if there was any... NO BREAKFAST yet they have a tavern literally connected to resort.. cant use their kitchen and scramble some eggs for your guests??? Oh but don't worry guys, we were told we could buy a gift card for a café next door.. $10 gift card for $8 bucks... "that will make our patrons happy!" Disappointment.I really hate to come on here and bash a locally owned business. I know its hard to get good consistent work these days, and I know this is a small little town where things are quaint and simple, but this does not excuse the price they charge for a mediocre experience. If we come back to Gore Mountain we will be selecting a cheaper option to stay, even if it means we aren't as close to the mountain.

We had a great time with my family and my friends at the Phoenix Inn. We came to ski at Gore mountain and the hospitality was wonderful. The hot tub was very fun for the winter and the woman at the front desk set it up for us perfectly for when we'd be back from a day of skiing. It was a wonderful stay.

We stayed for 2 nights in April with our dog. The Inn was immaculate, bed comfortable in the standard king room, mini fireplace was charming. Diana was extremely accommodating. I used the hot tub and it was sparkling clean and hot! Unusual to find that in a small inn, off season. Very please and would highly recommend the Phoenix Inn. We will be back. Thank you!

This is going to be a bit long winded but bear with me :-) My very 1st job at 14 was at the beautiful, 5 Diamond Resort with a fine dining restaurant, and an ADK themed Tavern called Trappers...this was formerly the Copperfield Inn and for quite a few years now it has been the "Phoenix Inn." When they reooened under the former owners i was excited as could be to go to dinner there with my children and their dad. Other then beinf able to get nostalgic in regards to the building it was a nightmare...food was awful, owner had no clue and didn't care to learn...even gave it a second chance and worse then then first. So I sadly acknowledge the fact that again there was no two restaurant / Hotel/place I used to work reopened in my town again for the next 5 years I would say. Then very recently I heard that it had been sold and was Under New Management.. and last night my family and I got takeout from Trapper's Tavern and I was more than impressed. They also hired my 17 year old son to work in the kitchen so that's a bonus lol. In all seriousness the prices were more than fair the menu was limited but only because they are new and working out opening fresh Kinks and doing it the right way and starting with less and worrying more about quality than quantity. Their macaroni and cheese with a sweet barbecue drizzle and bacon was phenomenal, their French onion soup was reminiscent of my most favorite I've ever had at a restaurant before just on my side and preference leaned a little more to the sweet side then the full-bodied and Rich savory but it was still very good. One of my children got a burger with fries he ate the whole thing which says a lot we also tried out the nachos loaded you can get either fries or chips loaded with ground beef avocado sour cream the flavors and the presentation were great. A special thank you to Kelly who is great at customer service and took great care of me while I was there to order and back to pick up. Without having that the owners yet I know that I will love them because they did something that very few places in this very tourist based town does...they programed their POS ssystem with a locals discount button, 10% off for locals! Cannot wait to go back again after they have had a chance to settle in and expand on the menu we will be back for sure! PS I've also heard the wings are reminiscent of the original Trappers Tavern wings and if that is even 10% true I am one happy person so I highly recommend for locals and tourists alike to go check it out!!!

I stayed at The Phoenix Inn when it was The Copperfield. Many wonderful changes have been made under the new owner's direction and cleanliness is now #1. The new owner, Diana Esplaza, is very accommodating. She is bringing this hotel back to a premier place to stay when visiting the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. I visit at least 2 times each year and it is so much fun to see what Diana has accomplished between visits. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wow! Above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Wanted a quiet weekend away from crowds to relax with our two dogs. First, SO affordable for what you get. Everything is incredibly clean (especially for a pet-friendly place), super cute atmosphere, adorable little town; right on the Hudson. Pool is quiet and enjoyable, we loved the sauna in the gym too!! Diana is super friendly and helpful. Loved watching the Wimbledon in the restaurant.

My sister's wedding and reception was this past Saturday,  08/20/22. There were so many issues with this venue from before the reception even started.  They quoted my sister a certain price,  so she booked it and paid the deposit. When she went to pay off the balance, the lady told her it was $500 more than what they quoted her. They also promised the venue had air conditioning. The day before the wedding: Included in the price was set up and clean up. When I, my mom and my aunt got there to set up, not all the tables were on the room,  as previously discussed.  There were not enough chairs either. Only 3 of the 12 tables were ready to go.  We were there for 7 hours,  doing more than we expected to do, since set up was not done. The caterer also came on on that day to finalize everything with the venue. She stated that no one ever answers the phone there. My cousin said the she thing when she was trying to talkto Phoenix Inn about her room reservation. We questioned about the air conditioning while we were setting up because it was over 80° in the room.  The owner told us she turned it on....but she never did.The day of wedding:  people started arriving at the venue around 2pm and the temperature on that day was 89 degrees outside. People were leaving the wedding after only being there for 30 minutes because guests were literally getting sick because of the temperature inside the ballroom. Many people complained,  including the bride and groom,  and even the caterer. There was even a guest at the wedding who frequents the Inn bar and she said the a/c hasn't been working in the adjoining banquet room for at least a month and a half. Bathroom were not attended to. I had to go to the front desk to let them know that restroom needed attention: trash can overflowing, hand soap empty, and paper towels were also out. This was 100% unacceptable! Later that evening: as my husband and I were getting close to leaving, he placed an order at the bar for 2 turkey club sandwiches with french fries.  It was over an hour before we got our food. The said a large party had come in, so I went and looked in the restaurant side and there was only one couple in there and a family of four at their outdoor seating. I will never go there again and certainly deter friends and family experiencing the same lies and terrible service!

To sum it up in short I booked a jacuzzi suite looked really pretty good when I got into it first there was a tip envelope from the last guest saying no batteries on it found out they were talking about the remote still had dead batteries the room was hot when I got there the portable ac was not enough to col the room where the bed is it read 84 degrees didn't get much better all 3 days I was there. They gave me a box fan that helped a little I would have soked my face with cold water but there was No cold water u can imagine a jacuzzi rm with no cold water I had to fill it up 4 hours before I could take one try taking a shower with no cold water the stairwell smelled musty how hard would it be to install a 5 dollar automatic air freshener the outside was filled with sinks and all sorts of debris I spent over 500 dollars for that experience why don't you put on your website what it really looks like one bright side was trappers restaurant

The rooms were very clean given the current circumstances. The people here are amazing, their food is excellent. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and had a kids spaghetti (not realizing there was anything on the menu for her) and the owner came and talked to us about having a vegetarian dinner and gave us a sample - it was amazing. The area is nice and quiet and they make sure your happy and comfortable. Would and will definitely come back here again when I'm in the area.

A friend and I spent two nights here while snowboarding at Gore Mountain. We had the double queen bed room. The room is fantastic, very spacious, nice beds, and the bathroom and shower are excellent. Tons of parking, and a back entrance you can park near if you're room is toward the back. You can't beat the location. Being on Main street, you can walk to shops and cafes, and it's about a 5 minute drive from the ski resort. I can't comment on the restaurant or the amenities since we didn't use them, but they all looked very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a great price as well for a very substantial hotel experience. I would 100% stay here again.

We wanted a relaxing and peaceful ADK trip on 4th of July weekend (when everything up here is usually super packed with tourists). Just by chance we booked the Phoenix Inn through Expedia knowing anything about the area and boy did we luck out!!! North Creek is super cute, the hotel is on Main St so you can easily walk to get coffee, food and groceries. The Hudson is RIGHT HERE and there is a very friendly white water rafting guide right here on the strip. The hotel is serene and quiet and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the vintage decor, brass chandeliers, expensive faucets etc. The owner (who is awesome and works hard all day) says the hotel was built in the 1990 and it was built WELL! It is very dog friendly, has an outdoor pool, hot tub and tennis court. I highly recommend staying here in the warm months (not just a Winter skiing destination) for a calm and low key getaway. Again NO CRAZY CROWDS HERE just nice people. I’ve noticed the town is mostly lgbtqia+ friendly unlike some of the surrounding areas that we’ve noticed. Happy travels!!!

This place is a great find in a beautiful area of the Adirondacks. The staff is extremely friendly and responsive, the buildings and rooms are super clean and spacious, and the whole place just has a fun and welcoming vibe. The only drawback was no hot tub available during the winter season, plus the sauna was an extra charge, which I didn’t find out about until after arrival. Phoenix Inn will definitely be my go-to whenever I ride Gore.

For the cost of this "resort", it gets one star. As a normal hotel, it would probably get 2 stars. The hot tub was just a tub :(The front desk lady when I asked her to check that I already paid by booking online told me that they hold a deposit in case I stained the sheets or something. I have never in my life been told something like this upon check in before. The room smelled pretty musty like the carpets and bedding needed to be cleaned. The TV wires were falling off the wall. The bathroom towel holder had been pulled off the wall. The carpet was wrinkled. The beds were exxxxtra firm.On the plus side, the restaurant was okay and had good food and this hotels location was very central to other attractions in the area.

Based on other reviews, ones experience can vary. Ours was terrible! Drove four hours and found that our reservation placed a week earlier was not honored despite our prepayment. Management was impossible to deal with and really did not seem to care that we paid for a room that we did not get. Food was terrible at tavern and non-existent continental breakfast. Told that if we left and drove back home at night we would get full refund. Wow things have sure changed. I guess I would say, be ready, if you book here. It appears that your experience can run a wide gamut.
