This was my first time at Gore Mountain and even though I was only able to ski proximately 1/10 of the mountain. I was impressed with the terrain. Wonderful long runs, interesting trails at turned and twisted down the mountain. It also seemed that the staff on the mountain worked very hard to maintain the snow conditions that they had this time of year. Even with spring snow conditions I had a great time. People were wonderful, the kitchen staff and the pricing of food was excellent. It’s definitely a mountain. We are going back to.Noteworthy details: I stayed in town at the Alpine Lodge, which was very comfortable and such a great location near restaurants and the heart of the town. The room was designed like a cabin very comfortable. Including excellent bed and pillows. The management was professional kind and always stayed in touch. I was very impressed.

Went for a one day run Saturday, from NYC, took a little over 4 hrs drive early morning to arrive at opening and park without the conga line of traffic between interstate and Gore. A late snow dump refreshed half the mountain for a full day. E-ticketing, issuing a new refillable card was easy outdoors without lines. Best part in the relaxed lodge with shelves to store bags and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating on a sunny windless day. Excellent Gore staff greeting people, answering questions.

Always a great time at Gore Mountain. Plenty of trails and glades to cruise through after a snow storm. Two unique parts of the mountain to access, try parking at North Creek Bowl and working your way over to the main areas. Mid mountain lodge is great for a mid-day break and lower lodge offers plenty of changing areas with storage, and a great bar area.Food & drinks: Local brews in the lodges!

What makes Gore special is not only the fabulous trails and lifts etc. but also - based on personal experience within the last 2 days - the fantastic Ski Patrol Team. I had a bad crash and actually slid off the course but fortunately a Ski Patrol member saw me (names unfortunately escaped me as I was in very bad shape with massive contusion and fractured vertebrae as the hospital later determined) and got me out of the trees that stopped my downhill slide. Overall within minutes there were 4 gentleman that helped and the professionalism, courtesy, care and compassion they exhibited towards me and my son who I was skiing with was second to none. I am very grateful for the great experience and the way that we were treated does give me hope as it shows that there are plenty of good people left - especially in the often under-appreciated and insufficiently recognized professions that often protect and save our health and lives. I salute this great team of people and am very grateful to them.Safety: Great resort with good lifts and gondola as well as outstanding world class employees on the lifts and in the Ski Patrol that this review is about.

Gore is one of the best ski mountains in New York. I am very lucky to live so close to it. The staff is very helpful and the trails are kept up as well. Some trails can be icy, but that’s a negative on the snow conditions of upstate New York. Their food options have also improved In the ski lodge. Years ago the food tasted like gas station quality meals. Now they are more modern and delicious.

It was a pretty decent place to snowboard. There aren't as many trails as some places but the lodge is nice and the staff is very friendly. We didn't stay on the mountain so I can't speak to the rooms. They mountain is very groomed and they don't offer night boarding, but overall I was happy with it.

A state owned ski resort I have been skiing there for over fifty years. It has always been a tremendous value for the money with an excellent trail system that over the years has doubled in size, added high speed lifts and they do a great job of making your visit easy. Really great place to ski.Rooms: This is not a hotel and does not offer rooms for rent. There are hotel accommodations in Warrensburgh as well as numerous privately owned small lodges in North Creek and all along the highway leading to the mountain.

We've skied in the Rockies in the U.S. and Canada, and in close to a dozen European countries, but we planned our retirement around skiing at Gore. It's been a great retirement so far! The mountain has so much variety and is so fun. The snow making and maintenance is phenomenal, the lodge and hospitality staff are super ... Have never had a negative experience with any of the Gore team.

Had so much fun here. A lot of trails, great shuttle service, friendly staff. It has a fast gondola ride to the top, and it also has plenty of lifts to take as well to get to the top. Great for beginners and experienced skiers.

On st Patrick's day family members went to gore for a day of skiing. Experience wasn't as expected. One person of the group rented equipment and purchased a lift ticket for $100. J-bar was not open so took another lift on going down he fell and had to come down on a sled which was full of water and patrol person wouldn't empty it. Got down couldn't ski any more and asked for a refund, you wouldn't give him a refund. . In my opinion this is a poor way to run a business and keep good customer relations. Sorry gore you lose.

I dropped my darn GoPro fusion 360 camera on the first run while I wrestled my pouting 4 year old daughter down to the bottom. So the day started off not good. But. I eventually found lost & found (in the main lodge by the bar area), they had it. Ya-hoo. The rest of the day was awesome. Great ski area! I skied maybe 1% of the gigantic mountain.

Had a terrible experience in guest services on Sunday morning. The ladies name is Maria R. She should be removed from that position. I listen to her argue with a gentleman at the counter in front of me for 15 minutes, she kept looking up at everyone else in the room like the guy was wrong. Made some very rude comments to him, and kept apologizing, saying it wasn’t her fault and I derogatory way. I was trying to figure it out. She had the attitude or he did. Then it was my turn, I went up to her and had the exact same experience.. Super unprofessional, discourteous and downright nasty. There’s no way that she should be in the guest service, customer service area. If the mountain wasn’t so nice there, I would probably second-guess another visit!

The first time I've skied in 15 years. And The staff was very welcoming. I had a great time. Can't wait to ski again. Gore Moutain gave me a love for skiing again. TY Gore Mt.!!!

The ski mountain itself is good, but the management is terrible. The gondola and chairlifts often break down and even the lift attendants don't know if or when they'll be back in operation. The parking lot is often a mess, with no employees coordinating or directing traffic. Don't be surprised if you return to your car at the end of the day, only to find that your car is blocked in by others.

I ski Gore many times a year. They constantly do lift upgrades. Awesome snow making, with an affordable value. (Coming it to other mountains)Highly recommend it.

Conditions were amazing. Lucked out with nearly two feet of snow on March 12th. Blue bird day. Something for everyone on these trails.

Had the opportunity to see the unveiling of the plaques telling the story of the “pioneers” who have made Gore Mountain the awesome ski area that it is! ORDA continues to invest in the future of Gore and the Ski Bowl Park. Calling all skiers to check it out!!

Perhaps the best skiing I've ever experienced. Unfortunately it's ruined by execrable leadership abusing a workforce that largely appears to be trying. Ultimately we, the customer, are abused and at least one customer took such umbridge that they were hauled off in handcuffs. Oh and Howard Carbone (SIC) was out skiing whilst the facility he was in charge of was melting down... But he did get back in time to reprimand one employee for taking some responsibility. (I won't go into details for fear of harming that employee) The local' s livelihoods depend on this place, but the state of NY's incompetence is legendary, for the sake of your sanity, go to VT.On a final note: To the ski patrolman who gave me hell. I will protect my kid even if that means taking the hit from an out of control skier and partially obstructing a trail, that is what a man does sir.BTW notice you can't rate the actual ski resort, that's how the state of NY operates. Google thinks this entry is for a hotel!

We visited in late July and rode the chair lift up Bear Mtn. Got a nice lesson in history of the area from a staff person and hiked around the Alpine loop. We then hiked down to the Base via Twister Cliffs and Trillium Trails. Great views and beautiful forest. We also saw deer, turkeys and various songbirds. We took our time and spent a little over 4 hours total there. A very enjoyable day.

Had such a fun time. Quick lifts, and a lot of terrain to ride. So happy we came out this past weekend.
