Great people, great products. I stopped getting my chicken feed from here because it was more expensive than other commercial farm stores, but i was pleasantly surprised when I stopped last week and my items came out to less than what I had been spending! They have everything. Stuff for dogs, cats, horses, and chickens (and more). The same friendly faces every time. This business is a gem. I would recommend stopping and checking this place out even if you don't have animals. They have garden supplies and candy too!

I'm not rating this establishment on the products they carry, the prices, or the fact that they are local. I rating based on how I'm treated as a customer and frankly, I find it painful to come to Higbie, knowing I'm supporting local knowing I'm supporting the local business period, and yet the employees here don't say hi, they're usually caught up in busy little matters, the store is rarely busy, they don't ask if I need help finding things, and I can only conclude that I want to find another local business that sells farm supplies and birdseed, another place where the employees have a better attitude. No one has to kiss my rear, however, I don't like feeling unwelcome at a place that wants my business. Other than that, Higbie is good for all the other right reasons. Just my two cents.

This is a great family run business. Whenever I get dog food, someone is saying hi to our dog- you can tell they are interested in their customers. Always ready to answer questions and give details about their products. We love this place

I dont review things very often, but wanted to make sure it be known that this store has some of THE best customer service Ive ever experienced. Both associates helped me in different respects, but when they didn't have a specific boot i was looking for, she went and researched it online and called multiple places in the area trying to find it for me,Staff is VERY knowledgeable on the products and tools they sell. A great deal of help in purchasing is having that ability to ask REAL questions.Will definitely be returning to continue purchasing there. 5 Stars all day,

This is the BEST place in the world. It's deceptively small looking until you realize all the outbuildings but they have, or will order, ANYTHING a farmer, or urban farmer animal lover needs. They treat everyone with respect and the best customer service I've ever experienced. I've shopped them all....Tractor supply, country max, pet stores but this is simply the best.

Great but small pet and farm supplies, they seem to only carry top of the line brands so they don't need a huge selection. We buy pellets there yearly, great prices and you can 'pick as you go' e.g pay for a ton but only pick up 10 bags every week (or whenever). All staff are helpful and pleasant to talk to!

I used to shop here all the time. Wanted to support a local family business. Last year they got rid of their rewards program without warning. So all the points (money) I had accumulated, just gone like that. Also been very disappointed how they have handled the pandemic. They do not wear masks here and do not enforce customers to wear masks. So unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable shopping here anymore :(

Never disappointed with the friendly,, homey family type environment Always deserves 5 stars! I Enjoy that pets are considered part of this family....a lovely kitty greeting you on the counter. Well behaved dogs behind the counter which come out to greet their regulars. And customers walking thru the store with their leashed dogs. The choice and abundance of products has something for most. Higby's is the place to go! I sure am glad that I discovered it!!

When we had our little farm, I was at Higbie's all the time.I have reasons to be back there doing business again and the new owners do just as good a job at making you feel welcome as the previous owners.I felt like I never left!!

It's like a local tractor supply... But better! Plus you get to pet cats! What could be better?!In all seriousness, this is the only place I go to get supplies for my chickens.. to get weird things like rail ties... And to get toys for my dogs. I highly recommend them!

This is a local business that has a large selection of products for domestic and farm animals. It's nice to buy from a long standing locally owned business. We love buying here instead of the big box chains. Nice job Higbie!

Much more expensive for conventional chicken feed and 12%sweet feed than tractor supply or runnings, but they do carry sheep pellets which you can't find at the others. Very nice/helpful staff.

Best place in Western Monroe to get your animal food. Incredibly friendly and helpful folks there. Do you have dogs, cats, goats, or horses...? They'll take care of ya. Iguanas and ferrets? Probably not.
