Happy to Foster these sweet kittens and give them a home until they can be neutered and adopted to a loving furever home. Eye meds are easy and when not actively supervising them I'm using our old dog crate.

We waited over a month for kittens being fostered by one of their volunteers named Barb. It was confirmed by Dawn(head of staff) that we would absolutely be getting the kittens after they heal from surgery. They wouldn't let us sign the adoption papers til they were ready to come home with us. Looking at the reviews, I can tell its because they make the mistake of sending animals to wrong homes often. We waited a couple days after making a visit and speaking to Dawn the day of their surgery. Just to recieve a text message from a volunteer that the kittens went to a different home. I am truly heartbroken.

They gave us our dog. She's a good dog. The process was easy. We went to see a dog but it wasn't a good fit. They found one that was better for our family.Communication and organization could have been better. But they are busy. Very thankful to the veterinarians and foster family that took care of our dog until she was healthy enough to be spayed and adopted.

Our family of 5 humans and 2 other dogs met and fell in love with this girl, now known as Petunia! The staff was very friendly, informative and knowledgable. Everyone we met, including the volunteers, were working very hard to take care of all the animals there. Highly recommend adopting from this shelter! We absolutely adore our newest friend!

I typically would never leave a bad review after any bad experience i’ve had, but sadly my kids are truly upset i went to the spca on 7/7 my kids picked out the kitten they wanted and was told my staff we were able to visit as much as we wanted since she needed to be fixed before we could take her home. Finally on 7/14 they called and told me my kitten was ready for pick up but couldn’t get there until the 15th, I get there after worked an overnight and was told that the kitten i thought i had purchased was now the black and white one. after spending a week with my kids visiting the “ grey kitten” now they tell me the black and white one is mine. truly upsetting that not only did they make me feel like i was in the wrong, but being insensitive knowing i was there every other day with my kids visiting a kitten that wasn’t even ours. hopefully this is a learning lesson for them so other families won’t be disappointed. I will never adopt from here AGAIN.

I've called several times to find out how to go about an adoption and how to set up a meet and greet with other dogs with my current dog & see which ones were also kid and cat friendly. No one has reached out. I've even emailed. It seems to me they don't really care or want their animals adopted out what a shame. I had a better interaction with NYC ASPCA for many years. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves

I had the best experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I am in love with Lobo! I think he’s pretty happy too!

I am heartbroken. I took a very sweet and very pregnant stray in. I donated $100 towards the kittens care. They aborted the full term kittens and lied to me that she wasn't pregnant, it was a tape worm! I would have fostered them myself if I knew that was their fate. They did get the Mom adopted. I'm just sick over it.

We adopted our beagle from here, they are very community orientated. They were knowledgeable on her behaviors and thoughtful in their answers to our questions and concerns. Would highly recommend visiting for your next pet or donating to them.

Considerably better than Erie county SPCA they're much nicer more attentive they're not as flashy as the Erie county but that's fine they're more personable at Niagara county SPCA.

I lost adopting 2 beautiful dogs because they never call back within 24 hours so I could adopt 2 dogs I saw. I feel that is unacceptable. The last dog I called 5x's they told me to call back by 2 and I called backed within 5 minutes and today 2 only to find out the second beautiful dog I wanted was gone. I only found out looking on the spca. I am very disappointed in this spca.

I only get my dogs from the S.P.C.A. First time was a 4 yr old red nose pit Foxy. Recently had to put her down. And I lost my mother. Then a new little guy Moose a puppy this time still a red nose pit entered my life. They are the sweetest dogs ever. The S.P.C.A. is very caring about their animals as well as the humans who come to them for a new fur baby to love.

SPCA doesn’t care about your animals! They are money hungry greedy negligent business. They’ll take your donation money and adopt out sick animals! No kill shelter but they sure do kill animals. Sick sick sick.

I adopted my little kitten noel here though she was just a tad bit thin she is great now and if such a joyful kitten. I will be adopting again once my elderly cat passes but this time i wont be adopting a kitten i will be adoptibg a adult cat that needs a great home:) Not the best reviews but I personally had a great experience <3Editing this: I’m in so much stress rn . The normal area is great but DONT get your pet fixed here. My baby Noel is swollen around the cut. She’s not eating or using the bathroom and she’s sleeping all day and crying at me. Here cone has been on and still is till she can get to the spca to try and help her.

Amy Lewis and the Staff at the Facility are sadly using my old Dog Blue as a fundraising tool. He was left with my ex-wife due to living situations I could not keep him. And at the time thought he’d be best cared for by her. On July 4th he got out and I was told about this on or about July 6th in which I called the SPCA to find out if he was there and was told he was not. Come to find out the picked him up early morning July 5th around 2am. And although they were given contact information to contact me they did not. Fast forward to 7/25 and I see pictures of him on Facebook and the SPCA has been using him for fundraising campaigns. I’m happy he’s having the time of his life and sad that he was not taken better care of by my ex but the way Amy Lewis has handled the situation and actions she failed to take are incredibly upsetting.

We had to end our 18 year old dog's suffering from cancer today and the attending female veterinarian Dr. gave us Peace of mind in knowing that we did the right thing to alleviate Mindy's suffering,.. She is at peace 🕊️ now..

I got my two kittens here. Everyone is super friendly. If there's any problems with your animal shortly after adoption, they will help you for free.

They told a 20 year old that literally owns a home in Niagara falls and already has one dog from this specific shelter that he couldn't even meet the dogs. At 20 you can buy a g*n, join the army, own a house, and adopt an actual human. This is blatant age discrimination and a major disservice to the animals and our community. I had to go to Erie county to rescue a dog, took me just 20 minutes. It took 20 minutes to be acknowledged at Niagara spca. The staff is rude and unprofessional. And from what I hear yall have 20 dogs in cages and you actually cared about anomals you would assist your community in adopting fur-ever friends. If your reading this ms. Amy lewis please step down and find another profession that dosn't involve working with the public not to mention Innocents like discarded pets. Remember if you delete this review amy it'll be right back up. This isn't the last you hear from me 😘

Do not go to this SPCA for any reason, they are just horrible. I found 3 tiny kittens, couldn't have been much more than 1 month old and no mother to be found, that someone abandoned in my driveway for me to find. They were the only SPCA open at the time that we could get to and when we got there they said, oh you're not from Niagara county so we cant take them, just release them around where you found them, they are healthy-ish. Its cold and its been pouring all day and suppose to all night, and one of them has an eye infection so it can barely open its eyes. They didn't even recommend another place that could possibly take them. So thanks for all your help!(implied sarcasm)Image attached is one of the 3 that they said was *healthy* enough to survive on their own.

Most of the animals I've adopted were not in the best of care while there. Misdiagnoised, mistreated, and lack of concern for animals. My vet was able to help my animals recover with minimal expense. Took time and one on one care - that's all they needed. I got two cats and a senior dog from this spca over a period of 2-3 years. Spca's are no different than any other business - all about the cash. Pretty sad lots of volunteers but the animals still don't get the attention and care they need. There's more to add but you can get the point I'm making.*Update 6/29/2021 I don't know how they sleep at night. The cats need to be looked at by a vet. I was told they haven't had a Vet there since January! So who is caring for these animals needs?? No one apparently. There are cats there that need medical attention asap! I went there yesterday to adopt a cat. There is a cat up for adoption "jasper" (below) he is so malnourished. Nobody knew anything about him. He's been there since Feb 2021. He looks even worse. I cried when I saw him. Nobody picks him up. He needs a lot of work to get him back to loving life. I have 1 dog and 3 cats - needed to find one that would fit in with everyone's behaviors. I wish I could of taken jasper. My heart breaks for him. I was able to "foster" one cat turns out he has very bad gingivitis. They didn't treat him for it since he's been there well over 3 weeks. So where is the money donated to them going? The dogs? They are big on promoting dogs on their Facebook page. Did you also know that the animals once they are given a bowl of food they cannot receive anymore til the next day. Even if they ate everything. I'm horrified by this place. I came back to them to adopt knowing there are animals in poor care there. I was thinking of adopting somewhere else but they actually care for their animals give them proper food and medical needs. This place - they need to be reported! I could go on and on with this place. I recommend going to this place and try to adopt the animals if they let you. Its not their fault they are there and not at a better organization.

Wish I could rate infirmary from front desk but anyway the Dr's/nurses absolutely amazing never gave up on this sweet kitty 3 surgeries later in 2 months I took him home, so very thankful for them and explaining everything so well to me, they are a true blessing. The front desk... I know it's busy but I just seen 3-4 people behind that desk yesterday 2 of them twiddling their thumbs, they never answer the phone I had to leave messages never got returned calls, one time when I did talk to someone they just forwarded me to another voice-mail and then wouldn't answer the phone after that, a disgrace and useless if you ask me.

Officially adopted our kitten two weeks ago after fostering for a month. The medical staff and desk staff were kind and efficient. The volunteers working with the kittens were excellent while we were making our decision.

Incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. I went with my children to look around. Both my daughter and son love cats and were excited to be there. It seemed "shady" to me that you could not see the dogs. You had to do it by appointment only. We were blessed with a dog in the past from Erie County SPCA where there they let you see the dogs without needing an appointment which was perfect. I'm sure they have a reason however it seems like they are hiding something . You don't want the public to see how you maintain the dogs let us make an apt so we can get the dogs "ready" for people to view them. That was the impression my husband and I got. When we decided to check out the cats with my children they were loving the cats. As we were looking we could hear a staff member complaining to some visitors about how she dose not like it when toddlers come in to see cats. The cats don't like it and toddlers don't know how to treat cats. My husband and I could hear her and took it as her pretty much telling us my children should not be there. My kids were extremely well behaved and just wanted to see if there was a cat that would fit our family. The staff making that comment and not actually talking to us about their concerns makes me question how she is allowed to work/volunteer there in the first place. Why would you discourage a family from finding a cat and giving it wonderful loving home. I grew up with cats and to make a comment that cats don't like toddlers is just not true to stay about all cats. This person was clearly unknowledgeable about felines. When I went to the staff and told them I did not appreciate the comments they just laughed at me.Thank you for the disturbing experience. Erie County SPCA will be our go to form here on out. P.S. Someone please clean the turtle tank that is next to the main door not the impression you would want to give people if you are claiming you care about the animals you take in.

I adopted my Sam - a small kitten several years ago. He is the love 💘 of my life and I am grateful that the Niagara County SPCA took such great care of this little guy so that he could come into my life. He is my joy. I thank the Niagara County SPCA for all that they do for the animals that are in need of love and care.

The liar in charge sold my dog and then lied to my face about it, she said a lady called and said I didn't want my purebred dachshund anymore even though my wife passed on and I don't have a lady in my life anymore. She had my phone number and could have verified that but she didn't. So either she kept my girl for herself or one of her friends has my dog

When adopted this sweet baby girl Symbarina from the SPCA they told me there was nothing wrong with her. She was so thin and so sick n on the verge of death, had diarrhea n throwing up. I took her to the vet. She had thyroid problems and digestive issues n kidney Failure My furbabie wasn't eating at all. I put her on baby formula n after a week she started eating. Also put her on probiotics n milk thistle n she ended up living 4 years. She just recently died 2 weeks ago. I would give them a 0 if I could.
