Alberto pet shop is an excellent place to take care of pets, especially dogs. I have been taking my puppies there for more than 15 years and the care givin is first class, clean and hygienic place and in the last visit my Yorkie terrier got his hair and his nails cut and he looks amazing. Thank you Don Alberto for your great care. I recommend him to all my friends and family

I have been going here for over 2 years now that the owner is never there the woman that work there do not want to do anything I was rejected 4 times for an appointment when before no appointment was needed the youngest girl that works there should not with her attitude I imagine what she does to the animals in the back

I have taken 3 dogs for grooming here for several years (2 have passed away). This is the third dog. From time to time, the dogs were not perfect but for the price before you could not beat it. Until..... So, the last time I had an issue with the grooming, namely the nails on all the paws were not cut, some nails were jagged and his hair was improperly trimmed. This time I had to speak up. I was told to bring him back in but I just waited until next appt. At appt drop off, we explained what had happened to make sure it did not happen again. This is where it falls apart. The young lady at the front desk, had an attitude with my assistant and the customer service was super poor. When I am told, I call to clarify that what will be done to my dog and I speak Alberto, the owner. I explained what I want and he changed the price and increased it by $30. I had paid $30 less for the same service 3 times before. I asked for a courtesy discount since I had a problem before, was a long time customer and his front desk person was rude. He said it was his daughter at the front desk and she is not rude. I apologized because I did not know that it was his daughter but said she was impolite to my assistant at drop off. He told me he would not groom my dog. I think it was an attempt for me to agree to the price since the dog was already there, but I found it unprofessional. I said we would pick up the dog. And if the price increase was valid and he had explained it nicely, I would have paid it without issue.

Horrible service, horrible owners. Unprofessional and inhumane treatment of the dogs and owners. Wish I could give them zero stars. I had been coming here for years and I will no longer be giving this business any of my money. They left my 12 year old 4 lb dog caged for over 6 hours eventhough we had an appointment. I called several times to check in and was told he was being groomed turns out they had not even started him. As I explained to them had they told me it would be hours of waiting eventhough we had an appointment I would have never left my baby there. I would have came back another day. It's inhumane to leave a dog caged with no food for that many hours.

We called and set up an appointment for 10:30am. Arrived there early as we were told that the appointment times are not honored and we might have to wait. After dropping off our pet, we were told it was 2 hours for a haircut. We left the pet and 2 hours later, we called and asked for a status update. Guess what? They had not even started, now we are driving back there to pick up our puppy.Ps: only cash, and we should have picked up on this and all other smaller things that this is not reputable run placeThen they wonder why they get bad reviews. My time is valuable and We just wasted time by trying to support your business when you could care less about my time.

Love the way they treat my dogs and how he does their cut as I ask. My girls are 15 years old Alberto has done their cut for about 10 years and I had no complaints all this time.

I called and asked for just a cut, no bath since my puppy had recently been bathed, they sounded hesitant and I found that weird but told them just go ahead with the full process. I got to the place and the cages in the front looked like jail, gross and dirty. If that’s what the front looks like, I can’t imagine the back. I should have left upon seeing this but the 5 star review made me push forward. The moment they took my puppy in the back I heard him yelping madly. He came back to me with a haircut that was uneven and uncute. One of the women felt the need to tell me that my puppy was bad behaved multiple times even though this her job, I’m paying, and she knew he was a puppy, but then another woman told me he’d been very sweet to everyone. I’m think the first one was trying to get a bigger tip which I stupidly gave. I was going to let it all go, but now my puppy has a hacking cough, won’t eat, and is lethargic. I’m scared and so mad at myself that I ignored the initial red flags and left him with these people. I can’t believe I paid to get my dog sick.

Took my dog for the first time yesterday and they did an excellent job. The staff is very friendly.when I called to scheduled an appointment the lady Made me feel comfortable gave me the rate over the phone explained that they clean the ears, brush teeth, cut nails, wash and groom .She was very courteous and scheduled a same day appointment. Would recommend everyone to try them out

I've been taking my dog for grooming here for about three years now thanks to a good recommendation. The male owner always does an amazing job. However, I don't like when the female owner handles my dog's grooming, the one time I let her she over buzzed my dog to look like a chicken and I did not request that, also she over charged me. I did not like that, but other than that, I only let Alberto handle her baths and grooming and I am always satisfied.

They took me at the last minute on mother's day eve. It meant so much to me to have my furry baby looking and smelling good for our guests. I HIGHLY recommend them. Cash only!! And no parking :-( but it's worth it!!!

Had set up an appointment with our dog and showed up with him. Apparently it was too much work for them because they did not want to take out the mattes off of him. We were willing to pay but they were too lazy to do it basically. Never coming back to this place. It isn’t the first time they have messed up too

I never write reviews, however I had to for Alberto. My dog is very difficult did I mention very difficult? Alberto has so much patience and does not judge my baby boy. He treats him like any other calm dog. In my pass experiences at other groomers my dog will leave upset and the staff will judge him and state "he was horrible". No body wants to hear that about their furry baby. When he leaves Alberto's place he feels like a cutie with great energy. Energy does not lie. Its not a "high class place with a waiting area" but it has DEFINITELY has a talented caring owner that will have your fur baby look gorgeous. Thank you Alberto! Bruno and I Love your work!

DONT GO HERE! Horrible service. The first two times that I went everything was good because I got to stay there (pre COVID) and watch how they treated my puppy. This last time I went I wasn't able to stay (post COVID) and the owner then claimed that I beat my dog and that that explains why she’s so angry. Claimed my puppy of 8 months was attacking and biting the worker but when i got there my puppy was crying (which is rare of her). She has never had a problem with other people or dogs because she has stayed at other places without me and they say she's a very sweet dog. For some reason these groomers are saying the opposite about her. Also the groomer said that she was bit by my puppy abut has no marks to prove for it. My puppy came back dirty, smelling like poop, unclean, and very scared. If I could leave no stars I would.

Last time I brought my dog here the Hispanic older lady dragged my dog to the cage. I was immensely disgusted by her treatment towards my dog that I told her I would be bringing him another day...NOT! Alberto is normally really carrying and lovely, but that lady should definitely not be working there if she clearly has no love and compassion for animals. Plus the dogs were in nasty dirty cages (similar to a third world country) when I followed her to the back room. Gross! My dog now gets groomed at the Inwood animal clinic and so far it's been great! This place is just gross, renovations are much in need here!

After I picked up my puppy , I noticed he was scratching his ear..took him to the vet and confirm that water and shampoo was the cause of an ear infection. I gave this place the benefit of a doubt. On my next visit I communicated this to the owner and asked him to please be careful... and it happen again. After informing him the second time. Alberto went berserk...not very professional on his part. This place gives the great hair cuts but beware of this and the over use of perfume which you could smell even from outside the store. They were also sloppy w/clipping nails..
