Nice place and always seems to have what I need. Doesn't have that rushed feeling you get in Home Depot. They were even cool with me bringing my therapy dogs into the store. Great place great staff.

The owners and the workers there are very helpful and know exactly where things are in the store. Many times, I asked for something specific or described it to them, and they knew the exact asile the item was in. Very helpful in case one might need a hand. It might be a few pennies more, but it's worth a try to find something one might need.

Workers were very nice but *do not* get keys made here. First time, the copies didn’t align properly. They remade them without a fuss, but this second copy got stuck in our lock!

They have a little bit of everything, even stuff I can't find at the big box stores. And most of the time it's even cheaper. Always friendly and helpful staff. The clearance bins always have good stuff I didn't even know I needed!!

It's so nice to have customer service when you walk into a store. Staff is knowledgeable and takes the time to show you where to look for your items. Having a local hardware store nearby rather than go to big box stores on 300 is very convenient and I appreciate their service and will continue to shop there for years to come. I often buy old paint out front and it’s amazingly good! Most paint is 75% off!Great staff! Well most anyway. Not all employees know what or where things are.Returns or exchanges are simple. Keep your receipt.

I’m a big fan of this place and i’m happy there is one in our community. The staff is always super helpful. They are a touch more expensive than the big box stores but i’ll happily pay it to keep these guys around. If you need a simpleSomething for around the house they almost always have it. They also have one of the best screw and nut sections anywhere.

Those guys know what they're doing. Super friendly, super helpful. Great staff, great shopping experience. A full service establishment, they even carry the heavy things out to the car for you. And the owner's dog is the best. Go Dexter!

This place always has the obscure things I need for whatever project I'm cooking up. The shelves are fully stocked, and the employees know what's in stock and where the products are. They seem to be open during the hours listed. Reasonable prices.

Pleasant customer service is hard to find.....As a small business owner myself and world traveler, I comment on it the unfortunately few times I see it.I saw it at Brett's True Value Sat March 11, 2017. I was immediately greeted - sincerely like family not overly pushy - upon entering the store and said good bye to when I left. An associate escorted me to the aisle of the products I needed and talked about several in a non-pushy way. I did not make a purchase and did not feel pressured into.The associates who treated me so well were millennials - I can't think of a time when a person in sales who is under the age thirty caught me eye in a good way. Way to go, Tru Value!And when I called the manager on duty (Steve, the owner of the store) and offered to tip the two, he suggested I give the money to charity (what a nice guy!)If you are in the Hudson Valley and want to support a quality small business with great staff - go to this hardware store.

Stopped in here this evening to get ideas and equipment to mount a few things to my dock. As soon as I walked in, the cashier asked if I needed help with anything. He pointed me to a guy who worked in the hardware section. I explained to the employee what I wanted to do. He came up with ideas, walked me around, and picked out the different brackets, nuts and bolts that I needed for my job, and explained to me how to install everything. The staff here are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, the customer service is phenomenal, and they know their stock inside and out.

Thanks, Brett’s True Value, for going above and beyond on my recent shopping trip. During my short visit, I received direction and assistance from several associates and Brandon took the time to walk with me to my vehicle a few times to be certain I was purchasing the correct license plate screws for my vehicle. I greatly appreciate the warm welcome and willingness to help from the True ValueTeam. I will be sure to come here first for our hardware and houseware needs, as well as recommend to our community.

What can one say about a hardware store? Good selections, staff are helpful,well some if them, prices ok. A close stop 4 me when I need a nut,screw or small item saves me a trip 2 a box box store..happy it's there

There are some really helpful staff here, and there are some really rude people here. Ultimately though, the place is just really expensive. The same part that at HD or Lowes costs $10 costs $5 here. Add to that they only stock 1 or 2 of most items means you may not find what you need, but you will definitely pay 2x as much.

Great local hardware store. The staff is very knowledgeable and always friendly. They have a large inventory. Prices are competitive with the Big Box stores and sometimes they have better deals on things especially during sales.

Best hardware selection around .little more pricier than tractor supply but they have all the unique size bolts for the weird old stuff I work on . Same goes for bearings,springs,orings ,etc.
