Front of the store needs a little TLC. It's a little deceptive, cause the inside is nice. I frequent the ellenville store, and its brand new, guessing I use that store as a benchmark. Shoprite in new paltz is good to go. Same quality food, same great service. Thanks guys, nice work!

*** update. ***. No bags 48 hours?What does the manager do besides drink his Dunkin and smoke his pall malls???Cuz he isn't managing!How do you run out of bags.... You knew you were going to run out today because you are very low yesterday, so why doesn't the manager hop in his car and go to ellenville or Poughkeepsie and get a couple cases of bags.??? God forbid you do something for the customer..... Maybe this is why your sales are down in Albany and other markets.... Profits before service & cleanliness .... If you reverse that.... Sales go up!!!

Always finding a deal there but those digital coupons are certainly a pain in the butt a lot of times they don't load and if you don't watch your shopping receipt sometimes they don't take it off but other than that the fruit and vegetables are always good the delis and the dairy departments are always well kept and if ever in the ShopRite of New Paltz make sure you say hello to Susan

I don't live in New Paltz I live over 2 hours south but this Shoprite is the location I always put when I'm going hiking in the area. I always make sure to stop here to the point of it always being a tradition. I get my hiking snacks and drinks here and a delicious sandwich as well. It's a great shoprite and the staff is incredibly friendly even at very early hours. This place is such a staple of my hikes in the area that when friends want to go hiking with me, they joke and ask if they can go to shoprite with me. Keep it up 👍🏽

I bought yogurt that was 10 days past the expiration date! Later this week I bought a rotisserie chicken that smelled so bad. It smelled like the chicken went bad and they cooked it anyway. I wasted my money. New Paltz Shoprite has gone downhill over the years.

For such a small store, the variety is incredible. The staff seems to do a good job making way for new products that come out, without sacrificing other items. They even have a decent if small gluten-free and vegan section.

Best prices around but the store needs updating from corporate. Every store in the area has been updated and it’s tight. Time to invest in New Paltz. Items are hard to find with the limited space and it’s difficult with how small it is. You’ll run into a traffic jam of carts because the science of space isn’t working.

Staff is always friendly and selection is good. I use their app for uploading coupons so I don't have to worry about forgetting them! Not the top of the class in aesthetics or overall layout but prices are good and I haven't had a bad experience there yet.

There is a good selection of items, produce and fruit are fresh, the prices are competitive, they also offer a small selection of miscellaneous items for around the house. The store is rather cramped and the interior is showing signs of age and could use an update. Overall a good option to purchase your groceries.

This shop rite is great ! Always nice sales. Good workers all thought once i had to get a meat and we asked the worker that was right there with the meat cart. She gave us the biggest attitude we called to complain ! It was terrible and extremely disrespectful. No human should be treated with disrespect especially a store worker. Other wise this Shop Rite is great. I recommend going to this one instead of Newburgh very much !

Great local store but it definitely needs updating. The meat department and deli have nice employees but the deli needs to keep up with their hot food selection. I really wish Shop Rite would invest a bit of cash into this store for the customers and employees alike.

So excited to find out that shop rite carries flapjack mighty muffins! I've been looking everywhere for them! I stocked up and had a great checkout experience too. The cashier that helped me was super friendly and kind and welcoming. Couldn't ask for a better experience. 😊

Very nice staff always willing to help... I just feel so cramped inside every time I shop. I wounder sometimes how horrible it would be if there was a fire or attack and small the exit is...its not very safe. Wish they could expand, they really need it! Bathrooms could be better and more room for the exit.

I enjoy shopping at Shop Rite in New Paltz. There is a good selection,they have some organic food,and I feel like the food is fresh and well priced. The one complaint I have is the narrow aisles, especially the dairy as one slow cart can create a terrible bottle neck.They need more room in most of the other aisles as well. The staff is courteous and attentive and I enjoy shopping there.

I've been shopping at ShopRite for 5 years. This is my favorite super market in New Paltz. Everything is organized and they keep items sufficiently stocked. The best deals around. Everyone is very friendly. Better than neighboring competitors.

This specific branch of ShopRite is fantastic for several reasons. The customer service is noticeably better than others in the local area, (Kingston and Newburgh, this means you). The cleanliness is also slightly better than the others I’ve been to. Staff are always gracious and helpful and accommodating. I am here weekly with a quadriplegic friend and they very often go out of their way to make sure we are alright; offering to push carts and get things for us, etc.The layout and physical size of store is smaller than others, I’ll admit, but the customer service and cleanliness goes a long way in my book.ShopRite in New Paltz is a tried and true asset to our little community

Shoprite of New Paltz is just outstanding!!! The employees simply go out of their way to help. Dolly today in Non-Foods, took time today to show me the location of an item and then told me when more would be coming in..she has helped many times before..Cashiers as well..and the manager Rose..Thank you everyone..We will never go elsewhere. They have everything I've ever looked for, staff always friendly/helpful, and their soundtrack is great. Nothing like seeing elders rock back 'n forth to Led Zeppelin's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" whilst choosing the right kityy and doggy food! Amen!

I love this store! The people who work there are always helpful-you see the same friendly faces each time-(has a low turnover). The prices are great and the produce is fresh. They regularly have items marked down for quick sale which is perfect for this mom on a budget. I save so much money shopping here and really notice the savings when I get stuck shopping at a different store. Even though I live across the river, I will always shop at New Paltz Shop Rite as opposed to a different store closer to home. It is my preferred choice!

Employees here are super nice. I am yet to come across anyone with a bad personality. Especially the morning crew on weekdays. Cashiers, bakery, butchers and people who stock shelves are all very friendly. I usually get to this shoprite as soon as they open at 7 am. Never packed and everyone is bright eyed with smiles. Pre sliced deli meats are always out. Fresh baked goods. Meats are always out. Clean easy to get to.

I use Shop-Rite for all my grocery needs. There are only two items it doesn't stock, so when the need arises, I go to it's major competitor, a store I otherwise wouldn't use at all, except that it alone accepts plastic bags for recycling.Today at Shop-Rite I asked if it would add the two items to it's stock and the customer service person said yes.So, now my only wish is that it might also recycle my plastic bags.This is a well-run store with very good workers and all are happy to help with any trouble you run intowhile shopping there.

We Went in early this morning for the can can sale. And Unlike our regular supermarket the shelves were full to the brim. The lady at the register was friendly and made sure we found everything we needed. New Paltz is a little out of our way, but it was worth it 👍

This grocery store is really a terrible place. The outside and inside are just horrible and dilapidated. It seems like the store hasn't been updated since it was built. On top of that, they always have special coupons for items that they don't even carry at this location. Their prices are not cheap like you'd think by looking at the old, nasty store. Some people who work there are nice, but others are rude and don't seem to know what they are doing. I've also been there during a power outage and between the old store systems and dysfunctional management, it was a complete nightmare and I had to abandon my entire cart of groceries. There's really nothing good about shopping here!

Best prices and friendliest staff of any of the New Paltz-area supermarkets. The parking lot is a hot mess, though--it strikes me as dangerous--and we've gotten spoiled (but unexpired) chicken here more than once.

This is my favorite grocery store in New Paltz. They always have fresh vegetables and fruits along with fish, chicken, beff, deli meats, bakery, and everything else in the store. They also have very good prices and deals. I highly recommend people to go here for groceries. The only negative thing about this place is that they don't have a pharmacy inside. But, they do carry all of the over counter medications. The prices are great and the staff is very friendly. I know that I will keep coming here for the rest of my life.

I like the New Paltz Shop Rite. It isn't huge, so it doesn't take a long time to pick out the things on my shopping list, or find things. The people working there are helpful and friendly. Many have been there a long time, which can indicate a good working environment. The prices are generally lower than the supermarket across the street. I especially appreciate senior citizen Tuesday discount. When I shop on Tuesday I often get to see old friends and enjoy our conversations. The smaller shopping carts are also a bonus. Smaller than most other Shoprites I've been to. Isle are narrow and I have a hard time navigating my way the isles with a handicap scooter. For the residents, I'm sure that they appreciate having a ShopRite in their town.It is the closest ShopRite to me ,and the have some pretty good sales.

I have shopped this Shoprite for over 15 years and sadly not much has changed except new doors and parking lot The inside of this store is in need of an update antiquated everything from displays freezers floors isles and departments . The store is small and isles are narrow and even though with Covid 19 arrows were put on the floor most people pretend not to see them and the staff says nothing . The store is so small they don’t have all the products of other ShopRites so limited choices Most of the staff are truly nice and helpful that’s one reason I still shop there approximately every 2 weeks also I’m disabled and too far to travel an extra 20 miles north or south I pray one day the store will invest in a new facility there has been options of other places over the years but they never wanted to invest in smaller town New Paltz
