I’ve always been wary of cafes that use animals as an attraction like the ones in Thailand but this Cafe treats the cute kitties with respect. Their main goal is to find people to adopt the cats. They have strict rules about engaging the cats like no picking them up and no handling of the cats. You can play with the cats using the toys they have provided. It’s a great establishment that is looking out for the well-being of the abandoned cats. You can choose to book a 30 minute or an hour slot into the lounge.

Had a fabulous time visiting with some most-precious kitties who are lucky enough to call Beans home, if only temporarily. Adoptable cats chilling in roomy and bright space with seating, toys and a 25¢ treat dispenser to persuade maximum interaction. Coffee and treats available as well as knick knacks including mugs, shirts, plushies, pins and bags. Very friendly staff and laid back vibe. Can't wait to go back!

Visited New Paltz after some time and was so ecstatic to find that they had opened up a cat café — I wish they had it when I was a student at SUNY, I would definitely have been there all the time! I adored spending time with the cats. Staff seem to really care about them. Love the lavender latte! There was a cute mural in the café section, alongside some cute cat merchandise. I came back another day to participate in cat yoga which was such a fun, yet therapeutic experience (thank you to Victoria from Stellar Yoga!). Thanks for making my little day trips to New Paltz memorable, and thanks for caring for the cats! 🐾♡

A cute little cat cafe with lots of adorable cats! All the cats were wonderful but Lil Jon the orange cat is especially a heart throb. The cat sessions need to be reserved in advance (which you can do in person) and you can set up 30 minute or 60 minute sessions.

When I heard a cat cafe would be opening in New Paltz I was so excited, and this place doesn't disappoint! The cats have such great personalities, and spending a morning or afternoon with them is a great break from the grind. The food and drinks are tasty and the staff has been wonderful every time I've gone. They've also got adorable merchandise up front if you're looking for gifts!

My husband and I visited here this past Saturday and overall it was a difficult experience. The first 20 minutes were fine - I was mainly sat on the window seat with a cat named "Nick" who climbed into my lap. During the last ten minutes or so of our experience there were a few issues (i) a cat fight between three or four cats, half of whom were wearing collars indicating that they had temperament issues and/or issues with other cats/people and (ii) I was bit by a non-collared cat named "Butters" who was, up until a day or two ago, listed on the website as being both human and cat friendly. The cat bite infected my hand and Sunday morning I had to go receive a tetanus shot and I am currently on a slew of antibiotics as a result. While I understand that every cat is different and, perhaps, Butters was stressed out from the previous cat fight, I do have some concerns with keeping a cafe in which half of the cats, at least, are collared due to having temperament issues while simultaneously being in an environment of profound stress. My hope is that since this branch seems to be relatively new this can be chalked up to growing pains and they might be able to figure out a way to prevent issues with stressed out cats having behavior issues!

I wasn't impressed, I don't think the café is run with the cats best interests at heart. We were told that cats with collars were the "spicy" ones. Why have "spicy" cats at a cat café to begin with when it's definitely not the best environment for rehabilitating a traumatised or bad tempered cat, although I suspect the bad tempers might be from being at the café. Half or more of the cats were "spicy" and therefore prone to biting and scratching. There was a white cat with black spots that didn't have a collar but he attacked at least two people including a small child.I also don't blame the cats for being on edge, the cafe doesnt seem to have age restrictions so there were small children screeching and waving toys in sleeping cats faces. Also they had elevator type music playing which probably is also contributing to overstimulating the poor cats.I wouldn't in good conscience be able to recommend this place. I don't think cat cafés are inherently a bad concept, but this is a bad cat café.

Really solid oatmilk latte 👌 Kitties are so cute.If I didn't already have a couple of cats at home, I would have totally paid to enter the cat room (cafe area and cat room are divided by a glass wall)... And even then, I did consider it.
