Pet Smart is the best place to go for a grooming. The groomers are all very good at what they do. The store is clean and has everything you might need.

No one is here to help you in this Petco. It’s a huge place but if you are looking for something they can’t help you. If you’re coming here for your dog to be serviced it’s pretty good here I have to amid but when it comes to the customers service in the floor forget about it. There’s no one there to help you to look for certain pet supplies and educate you on which product may be better. They just have people in the front to ring your item so you can pay. It’s over priced too at least educate your customers!!!

Never again I’ve only been here twice … FIRST time they ever gave me an issue was when my 1st dog had poop on his butt & they turned me down & told me to take him to the Vet so they can clean it first & then I can come back .. WHAT ?! What’s the point of the groomers then ? I ended up doing so but that should have been the red flag … SECOND with my 2nd dog I told them I wanted a short cut (they have done this cut before the very first time) this time they gave him the same cut , 2 days later my dog developed the worst rash on his private area, so bad I had to take him to the vet .. NOW what am I going to say is PetSmart did cover the vet bill .. BUT what dog parent ever wants to go through that ? Seeing their babies in pain ? Now my dog has a cone & is on medications for the clipper burn & it’s if I’m being honest it’s been such a pain to deal with. Bottom line is , I won’t ever put dog dogs through this again.

Oh I absolutely love this place the staff is so friendly and helpful and literally go out of their way to help you find what you need. And I’m not sure what her name is but she’s a pregnant lady that works behind the register, she is so nice and she really knows a lot about animals and their behaviors. But all together any staff member you come across is going to definitely give you the red carpet treatment. They will always have my business.

Drove 40 minutes to this Petsmart (mind you Ive done this many times before) because they carry Glycobalance for my dog with Diabetes. I always call ahead to make sure they have it and they always tell me yes just come grab it. First time, i showed my prescription from my vet, never had to after that. Today, I call and they tell me to come. I load up my cart with over $500, wait on line get to the counter and they refuse to sell me the dog food. No offer to look up past purchases, let me call my vet, nothing. The associate was very rude and unjust and made a scene because i wasn't carrying around a paper prescription. Im a long time petsmart customer and rewards member that spends countless money a year in the store and will be taking my business to Chewy from now on.

It's got what I need. I stop there for cat treats, love buy 3 get one free on temptations. I also have bought bearded dragon supplies and of course every kind of dog food, toys and treats. I like the Treats rewards too, though I wish they had non-purchase related ways to earn points. Pet Supplies Plus (Long Island area) let's you earn rewards points by watching videos and answering surveys, as well as purchases. Sometimes being involved with the company's app when no money is expected makes you feel more positively towards the brand and I wish PetSmart would adopt those marketing methods. Still, it's close to my house and PetSmart saves cats and holds dog adoption events. I really hope they stay in business. So many retail businesses are closing because of Amazon and I truly hope PetSmart does not close.

Laurie was wildly unprofessional with my dog for grooming. She claimed my dog was too matted to be groomed and referred me to a vet that doesn’t even groom.Point blank she was too lazy to groom my dog because he has anxiety. So much for a WE LOVE ALL DOGS APPROACH. I wasted two hours driving to and from twice because she didn’t inspect him thoroughly enough upon accepting him. She lied to my face claiming it was a medical problem when he’s had worse matted fur and been groomed at the SAME LOCATION BEFORE.Horrific experience. Will never return. It’s a shame because at this location usually they do great work. Not this time. Not spending another dollar here, ever. Thanks for absolutely nothing, Laurie.

This is our puppy’s first experience getting his hair trimmed, the staff was very understanding of his needs and treated him like a very special guest. It’s hard to find a place that cares about our pets as much as we do- I’m so happy to have found one that does! I’ll be rebooking in another 4-6 weeks for sure!

This review is in regards to their dog trainer, Jaslyn. Not only is she a sweet, kindhearted person, she’s fantastic with the dogs. She’s patient and knows how to handle them. I know my young beast has provided his share of challenges and she can get him to listen with little effort. We have taken all 3 sessions (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) with Jaslyn and she has been amazing since day 1. She’s even provided me with much needed advice and comfort at times when I’ve been frustrated with my Beau because he just would not listen. We have just begun, just for fun, their Brain Games session and not only did my Beau remember Jaslyn, he was so excited to see her and very eager to please her. Day 1 of Brain Games was fun and I can’t wait to see my beast’s progression. I’m very happy that I took a chance on signing up for these training sessions. Well worth the time, money and effort as long as you understand that Jaslyn is there to teach you how to train your dog and most importantly, that you understand that you must put in the time and work with your dog, consistently. The store is nice too, by the way, and the other employees that I’ve interacted with have all been pleasant, so far. Great job, Lake Grove!

We purchased these guppies from the store, although 1 of them died the next day, the store replaced it right away. We didn't even have to go through the cashier to show the receipt.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Was nice that the employee helped me find what i needed and carried it to the register for me. The employee ringing up my purchase gave me a coupon which was very helpful bc things are expensive these days. They also answered a few questions I had. I will definitely be ordering and shopping for my dogs prescription food/treats in the future with PetSmart

I started bringing my dogs here for grooming and nails. They do such a great job and my dogs are never stressed going in or at pick up. Noelle is especially awesome with my old 18yr old poodle!

The Pet care in the back of the store is the biggest crooks in the industry. They constantly give you the price, then when you show up there always happens to be an additional $100 or more fee for something. Get your pet fixed and have the price rolled into your monthly bill they say, But when the day comes, oh, it’s an additional $350. They are almost all rude as well. Stay away!

What a run down store! There were loose animals that were supposed to be caged and no one had any idea. The girl who was in the doggy day care room was literally throwing dogs off of her and very angry at them and yelling. You definitely need to have someone in that position with patience. Go to Port Jefferson Station petsmart instead.

Regarding training. I signed up my puppy for the 1st week puppy class. Joslyn was very loving and kind towards him, he was a bit excited and disrupted in class. Joslyn was very patient and worked with him. The class was cheap enough for 6 weeks. I just resigned for the second class as all he learned in the first class took a bit to kick in. I do not believe in shock collars. You need to work on the lessons learned at home in addition to going to class. Joslyn was AMAZING and has a true love for animals. Trainers like her are hard to find. I am looking forward to the second class coming up and I would defiantly sign up for any classes she offers.

This pet store seems to have it all! We are never disappointed in the stock they carry and they always seem to have great sale prices. More importantly the service is second to none. The staff here is always quick to help and extremely friendly. They genuinely love animals. Since we adopted our little Monty we have had great experiences with Cady at the pet hotel/day care. She offered great advice and set us up a suite for our Monty while we will be away for a weekend. She truly was a wealth of knowledge. Nicole, Katie, and Noel in grooming are exceptional. They are kind, caring, and experts in their field. They exude love for every dog that comes in, and I always feel comfortable leaving our fur baby in their professional loving hands.

Twice the staff would not groom the dog. First time dog had a hurt paw and vet was confused as to why they would not groom. Second time the gentleman said he has a callous that had a bit of blood. The place was dirty and no animals were there. Will not return
